Ade and Dzeko both look good value as Diouf replacements. Was planning on Dzeko all week really. But now I'm not so sure. The fact that it's very risky to not to the transfer tonight with Diouf possibly dropping only complicates matters.

Ade did nothing against WHU though. And QPR are shocking. But then Dzeko hasn't even played. Could get injured tomorrow.

On the other hand ... I am selling Villa defender after GW3, because there will be some 0 and minus points in upcoming games 🙂

Spurs are looking good, strong at the back. I think they will be among top4 defensive teams in the league ..

Right I need to know whether to jump on the diet bandwagon!!

My defenders are terry clyne Chester pva and Hutton.

I have 0.1 in the bank so do I swap Clyne for dier with my spare 0.1??

I'm trying to farm some team value and can imagine he'll shoot in value these next two weeks??

                Yeah might do:

                Sturridge>Adebayor
                Young>Mata

Waiting to see how Sturridge plays this week though. If he really impresses me I'm definitely keeping him.

                  Lucky mata fell to 8.9!!!!

But i think thats the way out allrite. Tho in my opinion the 8.5 rank as

                  Giroud
                  Dzeko
                  Ade

Monitor the giroud injury news tho and if mata is going to increase back to 9mil as youd have to transfer before that.

Giroud made a huge difference for Arsenal when he came on but he can be frustrating to own. If Dzeko does well against Liverpool I may tempted to bring him in. I'm guessing Jovetic will then get dropped for Aguero!

Adebayor is on penalties and won't play midweek either.

Seems to me that the best way to go this season is opt for one cheap striker (6m or below), and pack the midfield with premium players. I've never gone this way before but the midfield players on offer just seem better value and give more balance to the team! SO here's mine:

    Krul - Gilks

    Manquillo - Rose - Hutton - Dummett - N. Taylor

    Siggy - Mata - Fab - Ramsey - Sterling

    Rooney - Costa - Naismith

Still got 1m left as well for a Rooney - Studge upgrade after GW 3. What do you think?

    1. Sir Michael Taker
      • 12 Years
      11 years, 11 months ago

Its working for now because a lot of the cheap defenders are playing similar teams and in the case of Dummett in particular are only getting games due to others being injured (Santon). Same story for Naismith, once Barkley gets fit again how often will he get games? This sort of team also relies on Aguero, Van persie and Sturridge not achieving anywhere near what they are capable of over the coming weeks

I would like to put out an appeal
Today there are thousands of glacier polar bear without ice cubes to stand on. These wonderful fresh breath creatures have been around for hundreds of years and have lived a simple life, happy to stand around and chat to the odd passing fox.
However in recent weeks there has been a dramatic reduction in the earths ice cubes, because of selfish behaviour by celebrities and plebs using all the worlds ice and cold water, simply to get there face on you tube, thousands of these beautiful animals have been left homeless. Forced to survive on cola cubes and Parma violets.
You can help them by donating unwanted ice trays or ice lolly makers.

    Begovic*
    PVA Clyne Caulker (Chambers*, Chester*)
    Hazard, Ramsey, Mata, Siggy
    Rooney Costa Jovetic*

    2FT's 0.0ITB.

Any ideas? Bego to Krul and Jovetic to Ade was the initial plan, now foiled by Jov's price drop ğŸ™

Keep Begovic for sure, he'll suffer against City but he's always been reliable in the previous seasons and just look at his fixtures. Jovetic with Ade not bad but Ade is facing the big teams in the next six. Shipping Chambers out might be your first priority.

Might get Colo for Chambers. Need to do something about Jovetic though. Obviously need to wait and see what unfolds tomorrow

Wait for tomorrow's game. Jovetic might score and you wouldn't want to get rid.
Begovic to Krul is one I'm considering as well

Jovetic brace would really send the cat amongst the pigeons

I want to do Jov to Ade. Bego fixture check has reassured me to keep him.

Chambers to 4.0 (Dummet?) and Jov to Ade

Jov is 7.9 though and Ade is 8.5 so can't afford it even if I do that ğŸ™

Caulker to 4.0 and deal with Chambers next week?

That's an option aye. Not sure how I feel about losing Caulker before Sunderland at home though, he could have scored again today as well

I have the same issue. I don't want a budget striker to replace jov. Maybe Jov will play a blinder nd get a double rise that would solve the issue then Chambers and Jov is the best move

I'm genuinely thinking a WC is imminent for me.
Another bad game week, and whilst the team looks decent it's not producing.
    Thoughts guys?

I think you might need to get rid of Baines before he drops. Sit tight with Clyne, PVA, and Chester. Hutton looks a player, but fixtures will be rough the next couple of weeks.

Mids look nice, but would dump Hendo.

Up top, I'd divest the Man City forwards. Reckon you go big or go home with Aguero and a cheaper 3rd, or keep Dzeko...I'm a pessimistic Jovetic owner myself right now.

Silva or Nasri in the midfield could be a switch for Hendo though...you could pool extra funds from the Baines transfer with the 2.8m you already have outstanding. Aside from Ivanovic, I think a budget defense (plus maybe one player from a top 4 team) might be the way to go.

After today van Gaal has to be reconsidering playing 3-5-2, at least while half the team's injured.

Signing Di Maria at least gives him that option. Which I'd agree, build up is far too slow.

I think that he will be reconsidering the wisdom of his appointment ...

When Walker is healthy, what is Spurse back 4?

    Walker - Dier - Vertonghen - Rose/Davies?

Looking forward for Spurs vs. Liverpool because of left back dilemma. It was clear that Rose will start first two games against weaker opponents and he did pretty good. But Davies is more reliable at the back so I think we can expect him to start ... otherwise Rose will be first choice for upcoming fixtures or at least when he drops in form.

So what's the consensus on Rooney? Fixtures look great, he on the other hand hardly touched the ball in a threatening position all game against sunderland. Can't help thinking even dzeko, adebayor would be better choices than him since they aren't owned by 47% of players.

I always had week three onwards as their easier games
Swansea and Sunderland were never going to be easy for new set up

The problem with Rooney is that he is owned by 47% of players.

If he goes on a rampage and you don't have him that will hurt.

That said, he looked about a million miles away from going on even the smallest of rampages today.

And he is expensive, probably think about getting rid I guess.
