With cheque books fluttering on the eve of the transfer window slamming shut, our Fantasy seasons could be transformed by some notable new arrivals. In this week’s ScoutCast episode, Granville and I chew over the latest fresh faces to crash the player list – United’s “Angel” Di Maria and Liverpool’s “Devil” Balotelli.

With just a single point between us and the comfort of top 100k placings, my co-host and I are more than just a little content as we the rule over the current bandwagons and preview another weekend’s action. It won’t last.

Bed yourself in via this link, or get acclimatised via the handy player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Someone mentioned the word cryptic...

    That reminds me of last year (or the year before?) when we were posting cryptic clues, the answers of which were the names of certain players...

    That was fun...

          Ok. What's your exit route in case Naismith gets dropped in 2-3 GWs? Any money left itb? I'd guess so. I'd personally play Lloris and a 4.0 (well, playing Krul and a 4.0 actually).

              Err, I don't know. Started with Jove the season so waiting how he pans out but definitely not seeing him as a season keeper so far. Sterling the same except that I plan to keep him long term.

      The only reason I remember who Fabian Delph is, is because he was the only player that would hve his name read out by Andy Gray in Fifa. For some reason, every other player was announced by Martin Tyler or Clive Tyldesley, but Fabian Delph was read out by Andy Gray in a weird scottish-sounding accent 😛

        Aguero doesn't have to start or play 90... other than injury woes, give him 15mins + and he is worth the gamble IMO. Against pool he scored in seconds.

        Bottom line, he is the greatest goal threat around and if does manage to get a full game the points haul can be huge! I believe Dzeko may rest off that injury and he will get a decent amount of time VS stoke.

        Risky business, but I am in on it 🙂

            Dier – 0.2
            Naismith – 0.2

          They were Solid throughout the season! Doesn't change the fact they have conceded 4 goals in two games.

            Very true, but with them being away to Swansea and hosting Chelsea in their first match, its understandble to have conceded 4.

            United are a different proposition at the moment, no cohesion or intimidation factors really.

            I know its completely different situation in the prem, and I don't see them keeping many clean sheets, but they only conceded 1 against an attacking Swansea, (albeit they were well beaten by Chelsea) and they could pull off a shock home result against a disjointed United.

          Cardiff were also solid at home in the 2012/13 season. They couldn't defend to save their lives during their stint back in the EPL

    Thoughts on just going RVP this week and waiting on Aguero? Easy downgrade option.

    I know we've (Man Utd), been absolute.....rubbish but those fixtures man, THOSE FIXTURES.

      Fixtures seem irrelevant for Utd at the moment, who would have predicted 1 point from Swansea & Sunderland?

      I'm a Utd fan and I'm not captaining Rooney.

      Di Maria will almost definitely not play 90 mins, if at all. LVG is a big advocate of bedding players in gently (to adapt to system and philosophy bla bla bla) so I wouldn't rush Di Maria in, but as soon as he does get games and minutes, I'm getting him in as well.

        I know. That's what Im planning to do in the coming weeks.

        Lovren -> Coloccini looks tempting beccause Newcastle got nice fixtures
        Jones -> Cahill/Terry
        Caulker -> Rose

        Ill eventually make those transfers in the next weeks.

    Why are people so up in arms about the price thing anyway? If anything it is making the game more interesting - you have more time to stick with players and there's less need for a herd-based, bandwagon mentality for fear of getting left behind on prices. Yes, it means people can be two weeks late on a player and not miss out, but it also means there's much more opportunity to mix things up and escape the 'template' the same people are always so angry about.

        Rooney. Hoping the England announcement will Spur him on, he's a big hitter who I trust to get a lot of game time in a week where others may not. How about yourself?

      Most here will say no, never take a hit for a defender, but I think it's OK in this case assuming you intend to keep Colo. If one never takes hits for defenders, there will always be more pressing matters, and you will go through the season with a weak defence. Same position myself this week btw, think I'll make that switch

      Never take hits for defenders my man. If Chambers plays, they're perfectly capable of a CS.

      DON'T DO IT!
