Sigh!
My FPL team is in such a mess. And I need to find some motivation to start playing FPL seriously.
Still hungover from last night's show from our boys. Diego Costa, you lovely lovely man.My team's a mess....all because I had 2 FTs and didn't want to waste one 😥
Where are the people who were saying that Pelle was a donkey and that I was mad for captaining him? In your face, beetches! 😀
Haha you tell them dood!
Costa still did better 😛
No regrets, I had him 🙂
On the transfers page, transferring him in 😀
It's better to swallow your pride and bite the bullet sometimes 😀
haha well done TFF 😀
Best captaincy punt ever!
Well, sorry to burst your bubble (and well done for choosing him) but mathematically speaking this captain choice has cost you points vs 47 percent of the top 10k players who had costa (c).
Me with sterling (c) can only be jealous, but still in a wierd way a great punt backfired because of costa.I had the armband on him all week, stupid Mourinho presser made me change my mind...
Not surprised. Personally I captained Tadic who got 6 points and was unlucky not to get more. He's becoming something of an FPL points-avoider like David Silva which is annoying. Considering moving for Pelle, but having Clyne-Tadic-Pelle would surely be too much?
There's nothing called too much, but they have some awesome fixtures to follow. If I were in your position, I'd look to get Pelle now and ship Tadic in game week 8 when the Saints play Spurs at the WHL
All this nonsense about the price changes being the cause of the massive template is ignoring the very base of the matter. Nearly ALL of the current template were VERY highly owned in GW1...
Player –––––– GW1 % –––– Current %
Sterling –––––– 39.1 ––––––– 47.8
Fábregas –––– 29.1 ––––––– 42.6
Ramsey ––––– 44.5 ––––––– 42.4
Sigurdsson ––– 12.5 ––––––– 38.7
Hazard –––––– 23.2 ––––––– 15.9
Diego Costa –– 44.1 ––––––– 49.2
Rooney –––––– 53.6 ––––––– 35.5
Naismith ––––– 9.3 –––––––– 33.8
Sturridge ––––– 34.9 ––––––– 16.3
P.S. Due to new teams that are created not counting in the transfers in/out metrics on FPL the GW1 ownership will be slightly inflated (Siggy was around 7% and you'd imagine he's owned by just about every new team, so max 5% overinflated)
Bar Siggy and Naismith who, due to their bargainous prices, have received a massive influx of new owners (This would've happened regardless of price change system), most of the players were already massively owned (the highest owned players in the game if my memory serves me correctly).
The template is merely the preseason template that has performed well. They would still be the template even if prices were rising faster, simply because the vast majority of their current owners already had them.Agreed, great job Billy 😉
Exactly, well pointed out
1.8m in the bank.
1ft,
Lamela, Sterling, Ramsey, Sigurdsson, Marney
Rooney, Costa, Welbeck.
Would you save transfer and switch Fabs in for Lamela after next GW or just make that move now or do something else?
Lamela played well again yesterday and may do some damage to WBA.
Fabs is more consistent and will rise in price a good bit probably.
Should I wait another week to consider or just go ahead and switch??Save for sure, imo
Cheers for that!
Save - your team is fine
Anyone else need Rooney(c) to save their GW today?
Currently on only 30 points with just him left 🙁Van Persieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Oh Robin Van Pursestrings
yeah- Currently on 36. (Its ok to say your score if you are well below average)
Rooney (c) especially and DDG I need to score big points to save the week.Yep, got Rooney (C), Mata and Caulker.. Hopefully a few goals from all 3!
o/
Rank 500k now, after yesterday's awful performance from my team 🙁 And it's not like Rooney + Mata are gonna save me!
Same here. Ditching Costa 2 weeks ago is now looking very silly
I even had Costa lol! I've got a red arrow in literally every league bar one and that's because it's a head to head!
Next week can't come quick enough!+1
Took a chance on di Maria this week as I wasn't sure if Falcao would play many minutes.
ADM and a Roo to come against a poor QPR. fingers crossed
So all of you guys complaining about your GW 4 score, what are you on ATM?
12 points here......feel better now? 😥Yes, I do a bit 🙂
Have you got many players left to play? And what about your captain?Rooney(c) with Chester and DDG...... 🙁
That could easily give you a huge boost!
OR of 1.8 m 😎
Hope so!
😯
Rooney(c) to the rescue!!40 is a half decent score. Don't think Rooneys gonna score a hat trick 🙁
No.....what am I saying! HE WILL!
😯
Tough luck Arvin 🙁60(-4) 🙂
Arfield penalty would have been tasty 😉But you won the race against doosra - this has to count 🙂
Ouch Arvin. Any yet to play?
RMT:
Bego
Ivan - Clyne - Naylor
Sterling - ADM - Fab - Siggy
Naismith - Costa - Kun
McCarthy, Boyd, Pieters, Moore
0.1 in bank
Any pressing issues with the front 7? If not I might use the FT for Pieters -> Chambers seeing as Debuchy is going to be out for sometime.
Or save FT?Just want to say, I'm willing to answer any questions regarding Leicester (expected line up etc.), should you require information. Sort of what Lucy does with Saints, I'll be available.
Thanks mate 🙂
No worries mate. I noticed how much Lucy helps people out, thought I could do a similar deed.
How long is Schmeichel out for? He's one of my keepers in UFPL. Cheers!
Took a knock to his knee with Denmark. Back next week. Whether he'll start is another thing considering Hamer's performance vs Stoke.
Oh, and if I was to wildcard in a few weeks, would you advise on putting Schmeichel in goal? Leicester's defence seems ok to me, and it looks like he's great for saves.
I think there's more value in Moore. Real goal threat in an improved defence.
Thanks buddy 🙂
Here to help mate.
I've got Albrigjton. Is it serious?
He hasn't picked up an injury, we've just got better options than him. I can see him nailing down a spot eventually, but for now, stay clear.
Ok chief. Not good news then 🙁
Thanks though. In terms of consistent points, not a good 4.5 option. Mahrez, however, only a matter of time before he picks up returns.
Is Schlupp going to continue to start in midfield? Is he a better choice than Moore?
No, keep Moore. Schlupp will be dropped sooner rather than later.
How do you rate Chris Wood?
I like him. A workhorse, finisher and impact player into one.
great kiwi player
who will cambiasso replace for? king or hammond?
Hard to tell, I think we'll change to a 433. If we do, King will be dropped imo.
Fairly Ok Week for me so far. on 50 Points.
Since Debuchy is injured and its looking pretty bad, how does changing him for Dier sound?
My backline consists of Debuchy, Clyne, Wisdom, O'Shea, Coloccini.
Also thinking of captaining Costa from now on if Rooney doesn't perform tomorrow.Just get Chambers. This is the wrong time to go for Dier IMO.
damnit I used one of my free transfer to originally take out chambers now im bringing him back
WC or spend a few hits to fix this?
Begovic - Myhill
Terry - Clyne - van Aanholt - Wisdom - Bruce
Ramsey - Mata - Sterling - Sigurdsson - Marney
Rooney - Balotelli - Adebayor
Bank: 0.6m
WC team will be:
Forster - Gilks
Clyne - Taylor - van Aanholt - Wisdom - Moore
Fabregas - Sterling - Sigurdsson - Chadli - King
Aguero - Falcao - CostaNo need to WC at all, Terry to Baines and Mata to Chadli/Fabregas and you'll be fine 🙂
This. There are only three players in the team that actually need replacing.
Thanks guys. Keeping Rooney is alright with me but I'm more concerned with Balotelli, Adebayor, Mata and Terry.
It would be very foolish to remove Adebayor next week. He is the best captaincy option for next week out there. Hold fort and (C) him!
I don't think I could drop a Chelsea defender all season.
Why?
Because I know they come good eventually, and I wouldn't wanna miss the start.
Can't see many clean sheets if Mou (and Ivan in particular) continues to focus more on attacking.
This! Precisely. And with the fixtures to follow, things could only get worse in terms of defensive returns
Exactly.
I'm about to drop more for another.
one for anotehr*
Thinking of Cahill---> Baines at the moment.
Why? Their defense is anything but solid at the back. I ran out of patience with Terry last night, getting Baines instead
I'd like Baines or Jagielka in a few weeks, but I'd still be too scared going without one, as I know they're capable.
They face City(a),Liverpool(a),United(a),Arsenal(H) in the next 7...... If that doesn't convince you, I don't know what will! 🙂
They can get a clean sheet against anyone though.
But same is the case with every team, you need guaranteed clean sheets/attacking returns though at that price, and from what I've seen, it looks very unlikely with terry/cahill
This^
@TFF, Ivanovic solves that!I'm sorry Arvin but I can't see a team keeping a clean sheet against the 4 teams I posted above when it can't keep the likes of Burnley and Swansea out.
Liverpool couldn't keep a clean sheet against Aston Villa AT HOME, but they could score 4 goals and let none in against Tottenham AWAY.
Chelsea definitely have the ability to keep clean sheets. Just look at last season. Mou knows how to tighten up at the back.Swansea are no pushovers btw. Attacking side this season.
See my reply on Sarjeant's post below, this season has absolutely no co-relation with the previous one, especially when it comes to Chelsea 😉
Just stick Courtois in goal and let him do his thing.
Can I afford to ignore Ivanovic any longer considering how high up the field he was playing at Swansea? Even if he concedes, big points to be had.
No. In for terry(-4) this week.
Good idea. Terry has been such a disappointment for me as well.
I went for Baines instead, although Ivanovic is the bigger goal threat. Baines has the better assist potential and clean sheet potential. Don't forget he has pens in his locker too
Indeed, I've been considering him. Arvin, do you think Iva is with getting over Baines?
*worth
I'm not Arvin but as I pointed above
'They face City(a),Liverpool(a),United(a),Arsenal(H) in the next 7...... If that doesn't convince you, I don't know what will! :)'Thanks, will have to think on it further. You make a good point with fixtures.
Cheers 🙂
EVE: CPL, liv, mun,
CHE: mci, AVL, ARS
I'd say their chances of keeping a clean sheet up to GW 8 are about equal, tbh.Worth pointing out that Baines has Villa,Burnley,Swansea,Sunderland,West ham after that while Iva plays United and Liverpool 😉
Yeah but as I said below, I plan to get Ivanovic for now and then Baines in GW 8.
Your choice mate, but no need to waste a transfer if you're not WC'ing in gameweek 8
Yes, I'm getting Terry out this week...was gonna get Baines....had another look at the stats and nope Ivanovic on top.
Baines does have set pieces, but he can come in GW8, Ivan for now. I'll post a coupla tables in a bit. Thanks for that, glad you looked through the same options. I eagerly await the tables.
Not to be a knobhead but Ivanovic actually has equal assist potential ATM, and Everton aren't exactly solid atb.( Conceded 6 against Chelsea at home ).
You can check the stats mate 🙂
Ivan owns him in case of goal threat, Baines owns him in the case of assist potential
Don't forget he has pens as well... Better fixtures to follow too!http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/my-stats-tables/view/5989/
Sort by chances created. Pretty much equal assist potential, Ivanovic's goal threat is far superior though.
Of course, set pieces are on Baines side though.I think you're failing to take into account that Chelsea have already faced the likes of Burnley,Leicester and Swansea. Those Baines stats considering that he has faced Everton and Arsenal are immense to say the least! You also need to have a look at touches (final third) to have a look at who has the better assist potential 🙂
True...
You can get as far up the pitch as you want, still have to actually create the chance to get an assist though. My point being the chances will come against the easier teams 🙂
How does this look on a WC?
Mannone McCarthy
Baines Pieters Taylor Hutton Duff
Ramsey Fab Sterling Siggy Chadli
Naismith Costa Aguero
Thoughts ? Could downgrade Chadli and upgrade rambo to sanchez?Looks fine.
Villa's fixtures are going to take a turn for the worse so I'd re-think Hutton. McCarthy isn't nailed on so you may be over-reliant on Mannone. Otherwise looks good.
Chadli has some tough fixtures coming up.
Good to go for GW5?
Courtois
Clyne PVA Colo
Siggy Mata Ramsey (vc) Sterling Chadli
Aguero Adebayor (c)
Subs: Gilks, Vaz Te, Moore Wisdom.
0 FT 3.9 ITB.Most definitely
Adebayor to Coata with the FT for GW6.
Good to go? Cheers.

Sanchez, Hazard, Ramsey, Siggy
Rooney, Ade, Bony
Elliot, Hutton, Wisdom, Albrighton
Bank 0.0mB. Terry out for sure. Kun is also probably worth it consisting how many goals Chelsea concede these days.
A) Rambo + Chadli (5th mid)
B) Sanchez + Marney (5th mid)
C) Rambo + Marney (and spend money else where)C
Morning DZ,
I love the look of Chelsea this season! Best transfers in many years this summer! Whatever we have missed last season it's there now 😀Absolutely loving that the new boys Cesc, Courtouis and Costa have started with a bang. Big morale boost to the rest of the team too.
@TFF,
Can I just point out that in each of those fixtures last season Chelsea got a clean sheet in each one.I think it is also worth pointing out that Chelsea scrapped their way to a 1-0 win over Swansea last season. My point being that, this season Chelsea are a completely different team, much more attacking and hence this season has no co-relation to the one before it 🙂
It still has the same defensive players, apart from the keeper though. I'm holding for the next 3 at least.
Your choice mate, the players are the same yes, but they don't park the bus anymore
Krul/Foster
Moore/Dummett/Chambers/Moreno/Naylor
Sterling/Sanchez/Siggy/Ramsey/Hazard
Jovetic/Bojan/Rooney
26 so far with only Rooney (c) left to play.
Should i
A) Wildcard
B) Rooney & Jovetic - Costa & Another (Pelle)?
C) Rooney & Sanchez - Costa & WelbeckMorning guys, decent GW w/ 55 pts in the bag & have Caulker & Rooney to go. Still worried that Costa's armband save my arse & the goose eggs my team dropped.
Time for some hits!!
Caulker, Debuchy, Rooney ----> Moore,Baines, Aguero (-8)
1FT,, 0.7 ITBWait for MUN game first
hold off, to see if rooney does well
Talk to my knees mate, cheers

0.1 itb, any changes recommended?Tempted go captain Welbeck this week!
*to
Ballsy, could work out well though. One of the most attacking players of this GW to come away with nothing to show for their efforts. Scrap that, THE most attacking player of .... . Has more time to adjust to his new team too. Do it!
movement and link up was decent, but he still lacks ruthlessness when finishing and alot of the time he looks more of a hard working no10 looking to bring players into the game than a true no9. So I dont think he is going score a bucketload, better captain options
Not in my team.
I was thinking Ramsey until I realized that Villa have only conceded once in four games!
Adebayor for me.
Costaaaaaaaaaa
Bit late.
Pelle vs Welbeck?
Pelle
Pelle. He's nailed on to start each game and Southampton have great fixtures coming. Also Pelle is owned by about 100k people and welbeck by 300k so Pelle is more of a differential...
Pelle, inform, good fixtures
Chester CS and goal to save my GW
Chester goal, brace, Rooney hat trick, DDG brace to make my GW score half decent 🙁
Yes please.
*Caulker
Who'd you bench in his stead?
Ah, no one really.
Hutton 😆 and Wisdom
Oh wait Huton 😯 😆 Unlucky mate.
You must have been so happy when Dzeko came on! Not so much after the Pool game I'd imagine 😉
Hutton was third sub so he was never coming on 😉
Na, was pissed when Dzeko came on as Aguero(c) went off.
Costa is a one season wonder. He will FLOP in the Premier League.
🙄
