Fond of sand dunes and salty air, Granville returns from “avin’ it large” in Ibiza, to join me once again in the ScoutCast studio.

The ageing hedonist and I rinse through the regulars – giving our views on the week’s transfer bandwagons, whilst previewing the weekend and giving a shout-out to those managers blazing trails atop the various Fantasy Football Scout leagues.

Inevitably, we also moan about our Gameweek mishaps, discuss the latest development in the United revolution and surf the waves being generated by the Fantasy Premier League price tweaks.

Drop the beats via this link or “roll another fat one” via the handy player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Rooney or Di Maria for the armband?

Tempted by Di Maria, not influenced by his "not so amazing" stats after 2 games. He's looked a real gem of a player thus far.

Mata whilst he's playing. Pick gave tadic but will prob get rid this week if he doesn't do anything. Great player but unsure hoe good for fpl. Might improve once mane starts playing send he's moved centrally. We shall see.

    A) Coleman, benched mid, Welbeck
    B) benched def, ADM, Naismith (Naismath would be benched most of the time)

bear in mind arsenal/evertons fixtures clear up after wk8 markedly

Hoping to WC soon about gw8 but wouldn't plan on having Naismith on the team. 3 premium up front may be the way to go when they all get fit so you will struggle to upgrade.

Captaining a defender is just foolish. Clean sheets are too dependent on the unit and not the individual and attacking returns from fullbacks are impossible to predict, as are when penalties will be called. He's not a good captain choice, simple as that.

Love it, if I had Baines I would have captained him without thinking but for some reason I never considered big Kev... currently on Rooney but I do like a leftfield armband 🙂

Who to bench from this bunch of midfielders?
    Mirallas (CRY)
    Sterling (wham)
    Ramsey (villa)
    Chadli (WBA)
    Sigurdsson (SOU)

Sigurdsson? But you really shouldn't have to bench any of them...

my front three are Rooney[c]/ Costa/ Naismith and I can't bench a striker, especially when they're all either bang on form [costa], have a good fixture [naismith] or a bit of both [rooney].

This is the exact reason I didn't upgrade Boyd to Chadli...choosing between him and siggy seemed like too much work!

I know, but this self-inflicted dilemma distracts me sufficiently enough to stop me doing meaningless transfers I regret by Saturday teatime! So it's kind of worth it :S

I currently have Ramsey on the bench, because my instincts tell me that Villa are the toughest nut to crack and Ramsey has been flying across Europe midweek (plus he played crap against Dortmund, but that could mean he goes either way on Saturday)

I have the exact same dilemma but Fabregas instead of Mirallas. Currently torn between fabs and ramsey but leaning towards benching aaron

I'd bench Fabregas over Ramsey, he is isn't as much of a goal threat and his set-piece assist potential is diminshed against the City's tallboys.

really can't decide haha. im actually thinking about that since fabs maybe is the least explosive of them. however villa has been looking good lately and city hasn't really been impossible to score against. Im not sure that playing away to city is that much of a better fixture but of course it should be.. this is the problem with 8 good attacking options..

Is Naismith Costa Aguero the best front line for both value and potential scoring ability?

      Pelle is really good value!

I'd say Naismith is best value, Costa scores the most goals and Pelle fits somewhere in the middle. I'm not touching Aguero this season with his high price, City's tough UCL draw and the usual rotation/injury risks he has always had.

Can you ever confidently back Newc/WBA to keep a clean sheet atm?
