We delve into the Gameweek 5 data this evening in our first members article of the week. Wayne Rooney’s new role for United comes under analysis, as do Burnley and Leicester’s displays up front, whilst a couple of north London-based frontmen are also placed under the microscope after their contrasting weekend performances.

Time to crack out the wildcard?-
No, take -4 of Balotelli/Naismith to Welbeck/Pelle.
-
Cahill > Duff
Naismith > Pelle
??? -
No man you're good
-
You could honestly probably save your transfer and be good for the weekend
-
In fact I would save the transfer if I was you
-
-
-
-
does anyone know of a drug that can knock you out for 5 days but you recover fully afterwards? just asking for a friend, nothing to do with fpl
-
Rum used to work for me ... had no memory, though.
-
🙂

Find a tape of the Ukraine v Switzerland match from about 4 years ago
-
I think Coldplay have made a few different sedatives like that
-
Work
-
ha, that's actually a perfect answer
-
-
Crystal meth
-
In the words of Joe Strummer, "nembutal numbs it all, but I prefer alcohooool!"
-
-
I am just waiting for tomorrow to see if Naismith play more than 45 mins vs Swansea in cup. If yes, that mean he won't start vs Liverpool and I am getting Ulloa and Boyd instead of him and Mahrez for -4. 😀 Also, Kone and Oviedo are now fit.
-
If Naismith gets benched for a home game against Palace there's a damn good chance he'll get benched next time you need him to play as well. His 0 yesterday pissed me off as well so I was happy to get rid and take 0.3 profit from him.
-
-
My team's up the creek. Can anyone recommend a player who's gonna score 20 points next GW, who no-one else owns. Thanks.
-
Vardy
-
Great thanks. Don't tell anyone else!
-
-
Vargas QPR - 0.0% ownership
Played 69 minutes on way back from injury -
Lallana?
-
Aye...no problem...http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/my-stats-tables/view/4064/
-
I did the membership thing last year. Whisper ut but it didn't help much.
-
It's more for convenience than anything else. I can easily find those stats elsewhere but I like having all this stuff in one place to conveniently access. The RMT tool could be so much better though if they made it more dynamic though.
-
Yeah I'm a bit lazy to study stats. I might join anyway to support the site cos it's the best one I've found.
-
I quite like all that stuff....Sometimes they call or very right and sometimes very wrong...All part of the game for me.
-
-
-
-
-
Remy
-
I think only 6-7% have Pelle which is low still considering his form.
That will be well into double figures come sat mind you
-
-
krancjar
-
-
replacement for mirallas or keep?.(already got siggy and dont think much of tadic fpl wise)
-
Keep for derby
-
Derby are not in the premier league
-
-
-
OK, I definitely want to do naismith to pelle, but need some extra cash. What do I do?
A) wait until next week and do 2FT for free, play naismith
B) Lovren to Naylor
C) Henderson to boyd-
A is the sensible option
-
A
-
A
-
-
Thanks all, sensible option it is then!
-
-
I'm really tempted to do Kun / Moreno > Ulloa / Baines for free. Would have a fat bank account for the next few game weeks.
-
Insanity imo. Aguero could get a haul this week and Baines more than likely to get 1-2 points (similar to Moreno)
-
Ulloa at home to a crap side and Everton could well beat the Pool, but yes, perhaps is a little knee-jerky
-
Oops, wrong game week!!
-
-
I think Liverpool could respond with a massive battering against Everton, if Sturridge is fit.
-
-
Ulloa has much better stats than aguero
-
He also has about 150 more minutes.
-
-
Thanks Doo's 🙂
-
More goals, more touches in the box, more shots in the box... http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/public-stats-tables/view/23/
For big less than half aguero's price if say Ulloa is the better option with those numbers-
Touches in the box, eh? Jolly good.
There are only two things that really matter: shots in the box, and shots on target. All the rest is noise.
-
-
-
-
Why? Hull and Villa coming up and you want to sell Kün?
-
!!!!!
-
Ok, ok, noted and slap in the face needed. Thanks all (considers not cracking open the next beer)
-
-
Was Clichy dropped? Should I get rid of him?
-
?
-
Of course u should..King Kolarov is there
-
cheers
-
-
-
With meh form but decent upcoming fixtures, is Lovren worth keeping?
-
No imo.
-
No.
-
No, no, no.
Liverpool can't defend. -
No Pool defender is worth any amount of your budget.
-
Ok thanks people, any ideas on a replacement? (I have Clyne, PvA, Naylor, Wilson)
-
Bertrand or Burnley defender.
-
Thanks 🙂
-
-
Bertrand Chambers or Duff.
-
Thank you 🙂
-
-
-
I'm keeping. For the next two fixtures but then trading him for Baines in gw8. There's hardly any good defenders with good fixtures in GW6 and 7 so I think he's a good option short-term anyhow.
-
-
Best 5.7 forward other than Naismith and Ulloa?
-
No one.
Probably jukiewicz or Ings, or bojan -
Nobody.
-
Agbonlahor,Weimann,Vardy
-
-
Is Caulker going down in price tonight?
-
He should have gone down in price two weeks ago. So hard to predict but it should only be a matter of time
-
-
Pelle captain over costa this week...worth a gamble?
-
Just wrote same. I think I may go for it
-
I need to catch up in my league so I'm gonna do it!! But everyone will have costa this week!! Tricky one
-
-
It would be the second time I captain a saints player. Last time was when Costa go a hattrick lol
At least Tadic got an assist + CS that week.
Very tempted by Pelle captain too -
I'm going to try it. ADM over Costa paid off last week, so I'm feeling lucky.
-
-
I see a lot of people putting Pelle as capt this week against QPR.
Could pay off but then again Costa...-
... could get rested
-
Who get rested ?
-
Read your last sentence again and after the ... keep reading mine
-
-
-
-
Shocking stats for Spurs highlighted in the article.....what are Adebayor owners thinking?
-
Keeping for one week. He loves a goal in London derbies.
-
Not tempted to hop on the Pellewagon?
-
Would mean I can't get ADM.
-
-
myth unfortunately. only time he scored in the last 5 he also got sent off
-
..:(
-
for fairness sake i should say he didnt play in one of them
-
-
-
-
that he was drugged pre-game. genuinely horrific numbers, completed 6 passes in 90mins, 1 shot off target, set up nothing
-
6/13 😆
-
-
Daniel Levy is really pissed off with him 😉
-
There is quite a rude answer to that ... 😀
-
Only one 😉
-
-
-
i shot, off target.
having said that, could have 2 goals from Eriksen through balls - fine margins. -
Goodbye!
-
Hes gone for pelle for me as soon as southampton have played tomorrow.
Good riddance.
-
-
Is Falcao going up in price tonight?
-
I doubt it. Looks like over 4000 peeps sold him today
-
Who knows?
-
-
RMT please, £0, 1FT
DDG, Gilks
Clyne, O'Shea, Wilson, Chester, Coloccini
Ramsey, King, Sterling, Erikson, Siggy
Rooney, Balotelli, Costa
Balotelli and Eriksen -> Pelle and Fabregas?-
That seems like a very good move.
-
Yes I would
-
Excellent transfers.
-
-
I need to get rid of Mata and Naismith. Is it worth a hit to change these 2+Ramsey for Pelle, Di Maria and Schneiderlin? Bank: 0
-
Or rather Mata, Rooney, Naismith for Di Maria, Pelle and Welbeck?
Dont care for removing Rooney before West Ham (H) though...
-
-
Costa / Pelle / Welbeck seems like a good bang for buck front line right now. Yah?
-
Yeah, keep an upgrade to Agüero as a possibility too when/if one of Pelle/Welbeck fails.
-
Good idea. WC team currently looking like:
Forster / McCarthy
Ivanovich / Bertrand / Chambers / Duff / Wisdom
Hazard / ADM / Sterling / Siggy / Boyd
Costa / Pelle / Welbeck – 1.6 itb.
Can downgrade Ivanovich to get in Aguero if necessary.-
On WC, good to hear! In the same boat.
Yep downgrade Ivanovic, maybe for Bertrand? Then swap Forster/fodder for Heaton/Mannone.
Another change I'd have in mind is Eden -> Cesc, but that's just personal preference.
Definitely the Ivanovic transfer, though.
-
-
-
Count me in. Lots of cash for a future upgrade - Baines/Ivan, 5th mid, or Kun (depending on how the next couple of weeks play out). I like the flexibility.
-
-
Which option is best for GW6?
A) Forster - Rooney - Henderson
B) Krul - Welbeck - Pelle (-4)-
A
-
Keep Forster, add Welbeck and Pelle.
-
-
-
Guy dont waste your money on players like Vardy, on the ond of the season he will have 7 asisst and 3 goals in total...
-
7 assists is a great return.
-
He already got 4 😀
-
-
I think the person you're talking to left 2hrs ago.
-
-
Not making the Costa mistake this week. Costa (C).
-
Aguero (C) 😀
-
Sanchez (C) 🙂
-
I think there is a chance that he will be rested. He certainly won't be risked against Bolton, but I can see him coming off the bench on Saturday...
-
Welbeck (C)
-
-
Any Sky game players about?
Whats your captain strategy for this weekend?-
Stuck with Rooney. I don't have any Sunday or Monday players
-
Yeah Im on rooney too - don't feel great about it.
-
Same here but reluctant to transfer in anyone for Sunday and Monday
-
I have shawcross but not sure I will captain him. Not convinced by stokes backline atm.
How you doing overall Spike?
-
-
-
-
Currently on Di Maria. The Sunday game doesn't look too exciting to me, so no transfers this week and captaining Begovic, Monday night.
-
Good shout - I have shawcross so might cap him. Although seems a bit risky capping a defender for sky
How you doing overall Spencer? Bet that adm cap helped-
My first time playing the Sky game, so I've been a bit all over the place (missed some captain changes, transfers, etc).
Currently on 327 points, but have only 32 transfers left.-
Pretty tidy score for a first timer 😉
I have 30 transfers left and not to worried - fairly settled on my team for now

Kun has got greedy-
Frustrated the piss out of me the past two weeks.
-
damn why are you showing me this!!! now I want him in this week instead of next!
-
-
Weeks transfers comes down to
A. Welbeck or Pelle
and
B. Sterling or Di Maria-
Welbeck and Sterling + 1.6 ITB
-
i hear ya
-
Would go for Pelle if you can. I think he should score well on Saturday!
Seen both play this season and Pelle is definitely more quality than welbeck
And he's HOT!!!
-
-
-
Nailedoniness
Pelle ADM Welbeck Sterling in that order...(no CL footy makes the first two 100%)...
Form
All of them...
Fixtures
Pelle Welbeck Sterling ADM...ish... -
Pleased to have all of them. Not a snarky response, just glad I'm not faced with these tough choices.
-
-
Lost the post now...Whoever or is who wanted another forward for 5.7 that wasn't Naismith or Ulloah.....http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/my-stats-tables/view/4386/...Tap on the touches in the box column and add on his fixtures...Bang on the money. Sadly that's as good as it gets though...
-
No point wild carding this week as the fixtures are like big juicey melons
-
Let's discuss Gerrard.
As a Liverpool fan, it's hurting me. Since the slip, the title loss..he's mentally not there. Although he had 13 goals and 13 assists last season, his stats covered his weaknesses. He's weaknesses are being exposed week in, week out. He's 34, playing in the toughest league in the world. There's no other defensive midfielder who's good enough to provide protection. I also feel as if he's losing the respect from opposite fans. I honestly, hand on heart, believe he'll call it a day soon. 1 more season after this, at the max.-
Let us not. His time was then, this is now.
-
It'll actually be a pity that he won't have a premier league medal either. It kills me.
-
It's killing me too....
-
-
Hang them up
-
Rapidly becoming the thing to do. We spent 100m+ and didn't address the issue at all.
-
-
He's not there physically any longer. Wasn't last season either but you got by with him.
-
Agreed
-
-
Want to swap DM's? 😉
-
No thanks!!! 😉
-
-
-
Naismith, Balotelli and Ramsey > Lukaku, Ulloa, Di Maria (-8)?
-
Seems good
-
Are u idiot?
-
-
i think in a month's time we could look back and wonder why no went went nugent instead of ulloa
-
Then again ...
-
Because he scored only one goal in five games.....?
-
Need help please, need a better keeper would also like to offload naismith / henderson
Krul
Ivanovic / Clyne / Pieters (hutton, chester)
Fabregas / Sterling / Siggy / Di Maria (Henderson)
Costa / Falcao / Naismith
2 FT 0.1 ITB
A) Krul / Chester > Forster / Duff
B) Henderson / Naismith > Ulloa / Schneiderlin
C) Other? Suggestions? -
really? Nugent doesn't have good PL history but then you are the inventor of Forward Thinking....
-
-
Adebayor falling on fiso, as is Eriksen
-
Is it reliable data though?
-
Not too bad, yep.
-
About time - Cheers Michael 🙂
-
-
-
I just looked on FISO and they appear to have readjusted their players due to rise in the last half hour.
Now no one except Aly Ciss above 100% and he's going down again.
