Our Friday lunchtime regular is served up once again, as we analyse the PlayON player price list ahead of tomorrow’s 10.45am deadline. As usual, we offer a couple of picks per position, with an essential weekend target and a left-field alternative for your consideration.

This week PlayON have a £1,000 Guaranteed Pot on offer for the full Gameweek. In addition, there is a £250 Guaranteed pot for each of their daily games on Saturday, Sunday and Monday – View the Guaranteed Pots Here.

Goalkeeper – Vito Mannone
We’re keeping faith in the Italian once again, after he vindicated our pick last week with six saves and a clean sheet in the Black Cats’ draw at Burnley. Sunderland entertain Swansea at the Stadium of Light tomorrow afternoon and after a promising start to the season, the Swans failed to score at home against Southampton in the previous round – at 7.9m, Mannone looks a strong option, given that save points are worth 200 points in the PlayON scoring matrix. West Brom’s Ben Foster is another stopper to consider at just 7.6m. The Baggies host a Burnley side who are yet to score since Scott Arfield’s goal in their opening match of the season against Chelsea and, with Joleon Lescott now fully fit, seems to have stepped up in resilience.

Defender – Ryan Bertrand
The Southampton defence has been solid so far this season, keeping a trio of clean sheets and conceding just three times, fewer than any other team in the league. The Saints welcome QPR to St Mary’s and the left-back looks a strong shout for points at both ends of the pitch – Bertrand has one assist so far and comes in at just 7.5m, compared to team-mate Nathaniel Clyne’s 8.9m. Chelsea’s home clash with Villa also looks a strong source of defensive points. Gary Cahill (8.1m) has played every minute so far for the west London team and the Blues’ centre-half will pose an aerial threat in the box against a visitors’ defence likely to be without skipper Ron Vlaar once again. Paul Lambert’s side may have picked up the points at Anfield but the league leaders are a different proposition altogether and with just four goals scored, the midlands outfit could struggle to breach Jose Mourinho’s backline.

Midfielder – Victor Moses
The Nigerian has quickly established himself on the Stoke left flank, having started each of the last three matches since arriving on loan from Chelsea. Moses served up an assist in last weekend’s draw at QPR and could be a bargain for 8.3m as the Potters entertain out-of-sorts face a Newcastle at the Britannia this weekend. Andre Schurrle may have had relatively limited pitch time so far but – as evidenced by last week’s draw at Man City – he’s more than capable of delivering the points as a substitute. Perhaps a little risky at 9.5m, the German’s eye for goal has already seen him notch twice – more than any Chelsea midfielder in a free-scoring side that has already notched 16 times in the first five Gameweeks.

Forward – Robin Van Persie
In previous seasons it would have been unthinkable to label Van Persie as a left-field pick. Although United’s defence looks best left alone in terms of Fantasy investment, Louis van Gaal’s side have picked up in the final third and scored seven times in two matches since moving to a midfield diamond. There’s no Van Persie has had a slow start to the campaign but. After scoring his first goal of the campaign last weekend, is starting to rediscover his form and, at 10.5m in the PlayON Player Price List, is cheaper than t Wayne Rooney (12.0m) as a route into the Red Devils’ attack. Southampton’s Graziano Pelle has an excellent fixture against QPR this week. The Italian has hit some form with three goals and an assist in his last three and, priced at 11.2m, will be confident of maintaining the run against a backline that has conceded four times in each of their two away matches so far.

Head over to www.playon.co and get picking ahead of the 10.45am deadline tomorrow morning.

    What are Rooney owners doing?

Jumping ship? Giving him a few more weeks?

It's frustrating, he's capable of a big haul at home to West Ham...

This will be his last chance. Will have 2FT's to deal with Rooney and Ramsey if they fail this weekend.

Precisely my dilemma. Posted earlier asking about Rooney > Aguero, limited consensus seemed to say keep Rooney this week.

If I didn't do it this week I would almost certainly next, injuries permitting,

        Hi ChickenWithPeas,

We run free entry games with cash pots every few weeks but it isn't on a set schedule - we'll definitely set out an email when we are doing it. You can enter as many free one-on-one and multiplayer games as you like this week and the cash prize for free entry will be back again in a few weeks

What would you do?...Rooney doesn't like it but he was quite good when he played there for SAF...United can't limp along with these duff defensive picks any longer...it's rubbish. Even the formation is rubbish. There's a reason why City and Chelsea line up with two CDM's and a reason why teams like United and Liverpool, who play this silly diamond lark, looks so poor. It's a bad formation and in United's case they have nowhere near the quality at the back to play it...

If Liverpool/Man Utd played the diamond with Matic/Fernandinho at the base of the diamond and hard-working CMs on either side of the diamond it would be fine. Instead Liverpool play with the complete liability that is Gerrard there and he is consistently exploited.

He has attacking threat indeed, but Dummett also has some and has a much better fixture. Although Newcastle are looking far from solid, I'd go Dummett simply because of the CS chances.

He is a good option in my ranks, and if he leaves you unhappy there are others waiting to happen like Benteke.

I've suddenly found myself considering lukaku. If only he could find some consistency.

Not worth for Baines and Mangala though.

I would yes...but I suspect I'd be in the minority...The CB's of Kompany and Mangala with the likes of Fernandinho and Yaya in front of them just looks so strong.....

I guess the better question would be who would score more points out of alternate options up front/in defence depending which way I go. At the moment I see more secure options in defence as opposed to up front.

Definitely...not much value in premium defensive picks at the moment in terms of CS...however..if it's going to come then I fancy it will be City who deliver.

2FTs, 1.1m in the bank. Thinking Colo + Marney out...thoughts?

    Krul - Foster

    Cahill - Colo - PvA - Naylor - Wisdom

    Fabregas - Sterling - Ramsey - Siggy - Marney

    Rooney - Costa - Pelle

Play Foster and perhaps deal with Krul next week. Colo would seem a priority transfer. Him to a Southampton option?

Afternoon gentlemen. What to do with this lot?

    Begovic
    Wisdom Clyne Terry
    Ramsey Fabregas Sterling Sigurdsson
    Rooney Costa Welbeck

    Chambers, Grealish, Hutton. 1ft 1.9m

Pretty happy to save but Ramsey > ADM tempts...

Hey guys. I haven't been able to keep up with fantasy this week, but here is how I'm looking for now.

    Begovic
    PvA Duff Clyne
    Hazard Sterling Siggy Ramsey
    Welbeck Rooney Costa

Subs: x Caulker Marney Chester. 2FTs 1.7M in the bank.

There's a couple of players who might not be the best picks at the time, but overall I'm happy. Chester is not playing at all though, so I'm thinking Chester -> Chambers and save the other FT. Thoughts? Anything worth spending the second FT on?

Does seem silly not to but there are also other good options. It's more out of fear I'd say because of his high ownership!

Not convinced by Schneiderlin, he can score, but his position and usual role won't allow it regularly surely. He is more often than not the deepest of the Southampton midfield (especially if no Wanyama) and I don't think his role has changed much from the past seasons when he's scored no more than a couple; he has perhaps just got them in a bundle this year.

I guess his good run makes me keen and Zaha has been dropped for whatever reason.

Would you play Schneiderlin (QPR) over Lamela (ARS) this week??

Next Q, Chadli for Siggy for a hit? Have exactly the right money so any price changes will screw me.
