Many getting too carried away with Pelle. One of the justifications for bringing him in was this weeks matchup against QPR which wasn't an explosion at all. Was lucky to get all three BAPs.

My point is that he was lucky to come out with three BAPs in one of his best matchups of the season. Not a fixture you'd want to be relying on luck in.

That's an excellent return at his price. Focal point of the team, and the next 6 fixtures are all winnable.
He's leading the league in shots in the box (Or was before this week, dunno if anyone overtook him) for a decent team with good fixtures. As good an option as any, and better than most.

That being said, I thought he was very limited as a player and he actually showed technical ability today.
I'm not getting carried away but while he's firing, he's in my team. Far too many in my ML have him for me to ignore him.4 goals in 4 games and very tasty fixtures. Beyond Costa I don't see many better options in the entire game.
I've long been a defender of Pellè simply based on the fact that he gets in the right places at the right time and scores scruffy goals. I don't have him in my team for technical genius, just for the reliable source of goals here and there.
Today, he showed a glimpse of technical genius. That's a good sign.
Otherwise, I don't know what else people expect of him really, the kind of player he is.
But I'm happy to hear that people are still on the fence about him. Worked for me since GW1. 😉
