Charlie Austin grabs both goals and Eduardo Vargas bags an assist as QPR see off Villa 2-0 at Loftus Road. Paul Lambert’s side fail to score for the fifth successive league match as popular budget option Alan Hutton misses out with an ankle complaint.

Austin at the Double
The R’s frontman was partnered by Bobby Zamora and scored twice as Harry Redknapp’s side climbed off the bottom with a vital home win over Villa. Owned by just 0.3% of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers heading into last night’s encounter, Austin’s brace underlined how increasingly influential he’s becoming in recent matches – that’s three goals and an assist in his last four, compared to a single strike in the first five Gameweeks. With back-to-back showdowns against Chelsea and City in the next two, it’s fair to say few will be looking at the R’s right now, but with Newcastle, Leicester, Swansea and Burnley from Gameweek 12 onwards, the 5.7-priced Austin may yet persuade some he could be worthy of the outlay.

Vargas in the Points Once More
Having emerged from the bench to notch twice against Liverpool, the Chilean was handed a starting role on the right last night before moving up top in light of Zamora’s withdrawal. After teeing up Austin for the second, Vargas took his tally to two goals and a pair of assists in his last three appearances, but at 6.4, few will be willing to consider him over Austin, given that the latter also has spot-kick duties to bolster his appeal.

Ferdinand Benched Again
The centre-half was a sub against Liverpool last time around after sustaining a minor groin problem prior to the match. Despite his availability for last night’s encounter, Redknapp continued with Richard Dunne alongside Steven Caulker and was rewarded with a second clean sheet of the season, suggesting Ferdinand’s pitch time is in real danger, with his 4% of FPL owners looking for a way out.

Another Blank for Villa
The signs look ominous for the Midlands outfit after they failed to score for the fifth successive Gameweek last night. To some extent, it was understandable that Paul Lambert’s side had drawn blanks against Arsenal, Chelsea, City and Everton but hopes were high of a turnaround at Loftus Road, given that their hosts had conceded at least twice in six of the previous seven. Christian Benteke and co. once again failed to impress, and with Spurs, West Ham and Southampton in the next three, Fantasy faith in Villa’s main men is unlikely to pick up anytime soon.

Hutton Worry for Lambert
An ever-present over the first eight Gameweeks for Villa, the right-back was sidelined due to an ankle problem last night. Hutton is the most popular cut-price defender in the FPL game – now up to 4.2, he currently sits in over 13% of sides after serving up three clean sheets in the first four. Having conceded 13 goals and earned his owners four points in the subsequent five, a possible spell on the sidelines could be the ideal opportunity to part company with the Scot as Villa’s toils continue.

What has Hazard done to be considered all of a sudden? Apart from that penalty, nothing else... If its because of QPR, go for Oscar/Fabregas. Fab is more consistent...
Downing has atleast created many chances and has produced points in last few weeks plus cheap for what he is producing.

I have been monitoring Hazard for some time.
His home stats are actually very good, and he easily fits under the "explosion imminent" category for home games imo. A good score against a very poor QPR away defence is likely. However I do concede looking at this this one game may be a little short sighted.
Oscar game time worries me somewhat, and I frankly find Fab a dull choice.

I want Sanchez, but need to sell either Sterling or Siggy. If I sell Sterling now it will be for 8.7 (his current value is 8.9, but will be down to 8.8 before next game week and I would only get 8.6). If I sell Siggy I will sell for 6.4 (his current price 6.8). So should I sell

    A. Sterling
    B. Siggy
    C. None of the above. You have Tadic..sell him instead

0.1 in the bank, 1FT. Want Hazard in if possible but need to take a -4, probably shifting Siggy, to do so.

Currently stuck with this lot, a bit top heavy but want to stick with the 3 for a few GW's:

    Begovic (Gilks)
Alcaraz Clyne Chambers (Moore, N Taylor)
    Ramsey Fabregas Sigurdsson Sterling (Boyd)
    Aguero Costa Pelle

No I don't think so. Sterling is quality and can always score. That transfer would be fine if there were no hit involved. And you've already missed a price rise anyway.

Is Wilson > Chambers a bit pointless or worth using one of my FT's with?

Not at all. Stoke play Spurs, Pool, Man Utd, Ars and Chelsea in the next 8.

Can you manage Hazard? If not, not really necessary IMO.

My thoughts, Sterling is essential to Liverpool going forward, hopefully with Sturridge back this GW or next their partnership will be critical to Liverpool.

Oscar is in a better team but is an also ran as far as Chelsea fantasy points go.

I shall hold on to Sterling (nervously).

Captain Costa or Fabregas IMO. Cheeky punt would be Welbeck. No transfers needed really. Looks good unless you can afford Sanchez somehow.

    Bego (4.0)
    Coleman Clyne Wisdom (Hutton Duff)
Sterling Tadic Fabregas Sigg ( Milner)
    Aguero Costa Pelle

Got a sad 37 points this week. But does anyone think that I can afford to sit on this team? If not, suggestions?

Its v good, but is there any point in having milner there? I'd downgrade and upgrade a defender

Milner is just 5.3. Who would I downgrade to?

Boyd, burnley fixtures look good but he would be bench fodder. With 0.9 you can upgrade a defender to chambers

Is Wellbeck a decent alternative for Sanchez? Or should i look to downgrade him and maybe upgrade Sterling to Sanchez?

Nah sanchez will comfortably outscore welbeck over course of the season. I can see welbeck scoring more this weekend though.

I am going against the 3-4-3 formation and going with the five man midfield. The three mids I am keeping are Fabregas, ADM, Sanchez. My two forwards at the moment are Aguero and Pelle (going without Costa at the moment). Which of the following combinations should I choose (I do not mind doubling up with players from the same team).

    Hazard/Sterling
    Hazard/Siggy
    Sterling/Tadic
    Hazard/Tadic
    Tadic/Siggy

I've gone with the 5 man midfield too. A solid choice but on the other hand I'm still rueing having missed out on Berahino and Sakho.

      Hazard / Sterling.

    A) Begovic to Krul/Foster
    B) Naylor to Dummett/Saylor/Wisdom
    C) PvA to Dummett/Saylor/Wisdom

On the ADM/Sanchez/Hazard subject, I love the way StatsBomb presents data.

    Check it out.

Keep in mind, this is only non-penalty goals and some stats (like tackles + interceptions) may have no value in FPL sadly.
