Any idea on the predicted average tonight lads?
31/32
42 for the top 10k too
So is 72 any good?
Very good. (Nice msn name)
your link says 48?
31
We know Very soon...
Cheers
Ronaldo just scored from a pathetic shot..
bloody hell. 5-1.
Did anyone see Zamora get a touch on the ball for their second goal? I just brought Austin in this week so my blinkered view at the time was his cross was deflected in by Demichelis. Obviously FPL don't agree though and as scores have just been confirmed nowt's going to change. Just wondered what other people thought.
It could change but it's unlikely.
Yeah I saw it two or three times. Definitely zamora headed back onto demicheles' shoulder
Thanks for the confirmation. Got distracted after posting.
Bottomed out...
I'd like to congratulate Everton and particularly Southampton fans. Amidst the glowing scale of football in which it's hard to distinguish big clubs from marketing firms both of yous are a breath of fresh air. Wanyama, Clyne, McCarthy et al are just the sort of transfers which were United's bread and butter in our heyday. Good luck and I for one hope there's at least one surprise in the top four this season if not two.Yeah, they are great little clubs. And Southampton are keeping Utd's spot in the top 2 warm.
Exactly the sort of comment which makes us laugh at your demise.
Enjoy it while you can, ABU.
I believe I speak for the nation when I say we certainly will.
May be keeping it warm for quite a while.
I thought you were a Utd fan? Sounded like an ABU there.
Nah, just a realistic fan getting home from the honeymoon.
United would be a surprise
No, we really wouldn't. You lot would be a proper shock though.
agreed, I'm a Liverpool fan and it kills me to see us p*ssing away huge sums of money when other clubs spend it so much more wisely
It's infuriating. Meanwhile the plastics have even started spending more wisely than the more well established clubs like us and Arsenal.
Wanyama was a boss at Celtic and was Yayaesque in Champions League. Beginning to show it now at Saints.
At Hamilton Accies apparantly all the top clubs were interested in McCarthy but it was Wigan who made the move then Martinez took him to Everton. Gerrardesque without the ball striking great player proud he's an Ireland international.
Just evidence that the top clubs want some completely finished article or that their scouting networks aren't up to much. The scouting is shocking. That one performance against Barcelona in the CL is all I would've needed to see from Wanyama. I don't understand it. McCarthy was clearly the best young CM in the league for two years running and we just ignored him. As you say Irish international should only sweeten it for a top British club.
Exactly about the Barca performance.
Big Vic mixed it with the best and looked a match for them to be honest when he went to Southampton I thought meh why wasn't Arsenal, United et all in the mix?
As part of a two man double pivot he's a total boss and he's got a bit about him going forward which to be honest wasn't really there initially at Celtic but he must be improving obviously.
McCarthy I can see going bigger than Everton he's coming 24! In four seasons time he will be in his prime the amount of games of senior football he has played is unreal for one so young wise head on young shoulders and a great athlete.Agreed with all that. Now we'll have to pay a king's ransom if we're to get either of them.
And as for Clyne, apparently "attitude problems" were the reason Fergie didn't sign him from Palace. Where have we heard that one before? Yet he signed Zaha?
Does my head in really.
Woo Hoo! 61 with 3 to go confirmed. Still hoping for an Austin Assist but it is starting to look less likely
Kudos on bringing him in this week!
Just seemed the logical option. Cheers
Why do American commentators assume we don't know what sport we are watching? "That's a great golf shot" "Exciting football game" etc? 😕
Why do constantly rail on Americans? Xenophobic twit.
I don't. I'm a dual national. My father is American. You are an idiot.
Yes, you do. This isn't the first time and it won't be the last.
Sad hateful little man you are.Lol, you are embarrassing. You latched on to one comment i made about an American tv station 'breaking, the news that Costa was having an op in the International break. It wasn't about it being American, it was the fact that it would be broken abroad when nobody in the UK was saying it. Name one other example 🙄
Not wasting my time. I'll just wait for the next stilted installment.
As the Americans might say, 'You, Sir, are a douche'
That's not an American phrase. More racism.
tis. you douche.
Tis not. You plank.
Wake me up when September ends.
Lol What a troll
To be honest there isn't much things positive to say about Americans.
You're a fantastic spokesman for this mindset.
I hate when the pundits look at the TV when talking to each other.
Strident patterers who seem to direct their voices to that part of the audience that knows least about the sport. Scripted approach and no great intelligence in their commentary beyond cliche and streams of stats. Nobable exceptions of course but in general.....yikes
The good ole USA is one messed up country. It can be summed up in 1 word = corrupt.
Finding out that trying to chase points so early in the season is not a good idea.
Not captaining Kun recently has cost me 30+ points and a 50k ranking when has been the obvious choice.Hey guys,
Who would be good replacements for Clyne and Bertrand after next week? (Already have Baines)52pts with Foster, Baines, Chambers and Sanchez to come.
What would you do with your FT? 0.2m ITB. Foster out? Targett - > S.Taylor? Wisdom -> McNair?
Foster
Baines, Clyne, Chambers [Wisdom][Targett]
Fabregas, Di Maria, Sanchez, Downing [Boyd]
Aguero, Costa, SakhoMcNair 😆
Save your transfer.
Few Qs. Is Collins nailed after all and when is Giroud back in full training?
Collins will never be nailed, Giroud is back in training next week.
So Welbeck needs to go even if he scores a brace tomorrow.
not when tomkins is back
too bad planned to do Wilson -> Collins.
Yes he will be. Collins plays ahead of Tomkins even when fit
Kuqi trust me 30yrs a hammer. Collins plays ahead of Tompkins
Tomkins
I ll find you if he isnt 😀
btw. Collins has played pretty well.Trust me. Collins and Reid are our first choice. Both have been immense
Collins is nailed yes
Anyone else considering Kane as 3rd striker?
let's see if he starts tomorrow, I have my doubts
Already have him 😎
Rule number 1 in fpl "always pick players who are certain starters"
Yeah, its easy to get blinded when considering "hot" players, but thats my rule too for the most part. Went for Oscar in GW10 though but he's pretty nailed right now
Oscar is 80% started in my books so that makes him valid pick.
A) Cresswell, Bertrand, Trippier
B) Cresswell, Baines, Moore
C) Bertrand, Coleman, Moore/Kellywalcott now might be an option with the international break
Welbeck is still really good value at 7.3, or have people forgotten that he's still Arsenal's number 1 striker, and gets loads of little chances and touches in the box? Until that changes there aren't many reasons to sell right now, especially if you got him at 7.2 like me and can afford to absord another 0.1 drop.
His touches are mainly those that hold the play and usually go back to a midfielder. He just isn't a natural scorer
Because he wont be first choice striker for much longer.
fair enough, but until Giroud is back then he's still good value imo
Stop looking at the price and watch the actual games (if you have the time) 😉
Welbeck definitely not playing like a striker. Goes way too deep to get the ball most of the time.haha, yeah i'll admit that i've missed the last week's games, but will keep a close eye on him tomorrow before deciding what to do. United at home is set up nicely for him to score though!
😉
Giroud is back after the break
he will never be a ggreat goal scorer, why have him when sakho/austin/berahino are doing much better for cheaper?Hes a good player but not a an FPL player imo
The same was said earlier in the season about Bojan, Naismith, Ulloa, etc. It feels like those 3 you've listed are just the next on that list. Sakho might be an exception though
Berahino has been doing it over 2 seasons on the Prem.
Austin, as was said by a few QPR fans who've followed him for some time, is on the same kind of career curve as Ricky Lambert. The difference is that time is on his side.
Sakho is most likely to fade simply because he has Carroll and Valencia to deal with.
No one was banging Bojan's drum as far as I can see. Naismith was never nailed on which made a lot of us wary of getting him in.
Austin and Berahino are vital to their respective teams chances of survival.
he will drop to the bench soon
ozil injury has hurt him, also swtch to 442
Not now but next GW ...
Clyne - > Azpil
Downing - > Milner
?huh?
why transfer milner in when he didn't even start today. He is not nailed anymore.
Keep clyne for the next gw then think about sellingLook at Citys fixtures and Clyne needs to go after next GW... just need 5.4 options and if he plays, Milner is a good option no?
think he has lost his place mate, he was a good option before this week but nasri is back now
never know he could win it back but there is a risk therethe fact he isn't starting when Silva is out doesn't bode well, would look for other options
why get rid of Downing?
Dont want to buy I already have Sakho and if I get rid of Clyne I need a strong defender like Azpil. This leaves me 5.4
I have Sakho and Downing too, going to hold for a couple more weeks before getting rid, I've learnt over the years to give players a chance, today was the first time West Ham haven't scored in ages, still think they've got plenty of goals in them where Downing and Sakho will be in the thick of it. Also have Clyne and Forster, thinking of seeing how they go through the first couple of tough fixtures as I have good value in both
Tadic to Chadli/ Downing
Welbeck to Austin
Pelle to Costa
For -8 - straight away because Costa and Austin no games over break
Worth it? I want Costa in, especially for WBAI love Only The Young on X-factor. They are like the Utd of the Music world.
loada shite that show.
How can u say that? One of their brothers was going to be a star but could have nearly lost his hearind and one of them had a relative that was in the army and one of them's great grandad died. U r disgusting.
*hearing
wow sounds like they have had it tough. They are definitely a huge inspiration
the show is awful. the people may have problems yes but still manufactured pop is shocking.
Got a tenna on Andrea at 18/1 : )
Which one of these would you do to get Aguero in? I have 2 FT to work with
A) Pelle + Fab -> Aguero + Downing
B) Costa + Naylor -> Aguero + Yun
C) Berahino + ADM -> Aguero + Boyd
D) Pelle + ADM -> Aguero + Chadli
E) None of the aboveKeep Costa and AdM
I'd transfer out Pelle and Fab if you have CostaPelle+adm to aguero+downing+money ITB
C if Boyd will be bench fodder
Otherwise a or dI'd have to play him for 1 or 2 weeks because I have bloody Ward-Prowse 🙁
DI Maria: most forward united player, 12 crosses, 6 shots
Essential?Funnily enough people are getting rid
good starts but poor performance
I'd say 3/4 of the crosses were set pieces and the shots were way outside the box.
My main issue with Di maria is his crosses mean nothing if rvp is your striker. One of the worst headers of the ball
yeah this. it was ok when it was falcao there (not great), but with VP the aerial threat is terrible
the problem is that ADM is used to swinging in crosses to players like Ronaldo, Benzema, and Bale, who are all great to good headers of the ball
His header against Spain in the WC was 'OK' though'?
haha, i almost mentioned that one... an exception
In before someone posts the goal against Spain
Oh dear the spain example. You guys know bendtner has a ucl hat trick and cattermole. Once score a screamer
His headed goal was the best of the World Cup.
Some nice looking fixtures in the short term, best United option
3 goals, 5 assists, 7 bonus points , in 9 pl games
He's also the king of arithmetic sequences
Great returns, just need some of the United strikers to start performing to really boost his points potential
I'm keeping - as far as I can see (not seen match yet) he's been the one player at Utd who is real class.
ADM > Walcott seems to be the temptation, but not for me. I think he's going to finish the most consistent of all the MF returns over the season.
Would any of you consider transferring out either adm or fabs to make way for Sanchez? I have both and would like either those 2 or one if then with Sanchez.
Have both. No Sanchez. Sticking.
exactly same dilemma. was set to transfer adm out, but after what was mentioned above thinking again.
potentially Cesc, as a Chelsea fan and Cesc owner since gameweek 1 slightly concerned about how deep he is still playing, heavily dependent on free kicks and corners. Have Sanchez and ADM aswell and reckon their the better options
Teams with double S'ton defence are killing me in mini-leagues. Really should've done that weeks ago.
too late now, they will have to get rid of one sot def now at least
How did Chelsea, City and United look today? Missed all the games :/
watch motd later
Unfortunately going to miss that too haha.. Don't see myself waking up in time to catch the repeat
City looked like a carbon copy of liverpool last season in some respects. Far more sluggish in midfield than liverpool, but terrible at the back and one-man-team up top in some respects
Agreed, kinda. Not on the Liverpool thing.. but Aguero really got them out of trouble. Yaya isn't what he was, and Nasri is lacking fitness. Therefore, with no Silva, there was no one to dominate. Fernando and Fernandinho played as the DMs. Poor at the back without Kompany. Take Aguero out of that team, and they'd be very average right now.
Chelsea and City very average. Both a bit lucky. Utd looked on fire but their opponents parked the bjs and ref was an ABU.
whats an ABU?
Cheers all
Thought I did good with 46 points when the average is 31, then find out the 15-20 teams at the top in my two MLs all had 49-61...
Its still good score but depends how many players left.
I have 6 left, most of them have 5-6
Thats very impressive! Got 49 and only 4 to go.
This is my problem with this site being free, anyone can come on here to lurk for 10 minutes a week and they've got a similar team to you who have planned for weeks
Exactly..
Who'd you rather sell in order to afford Aguero?
(A) Clyne & Welbeck
or
(B) PvA & Pelle
??Nah. Not worth it.
so you'd rather stay Aguero-less then..?
Not much in it IMO but B because PVA is injured
Tough. Clyne and Pelle are keepers for me. A reluctant B.
Save FT? 0.7 ITB.
Krul - Foster
Ivan - Bertrand - Chambers - Naylor - Moore
Sanchez - Tadic - Siggy - Downing - Marney
Costa - Kun - Pelle
Cheerios. Thanks all, I guess that means I should save 🙂
44 and still got Baines, Coloccini, Sigurdsson, Sanchez, and Berahino to play. Pretty happy with that 🙂
How could i get Aguero in this team?
I am 0.2 short of Welbeck and ADM to Aguero and Downing.
Guzan, Given
Baines, Clyne, Chambers, Moore, Wisdom
Di Maria, Fabregas, Sanchez, Sigurdsson, Boyd
Pelle, Costa, Welbeck
1.1m in the bank. 1 FT. I could take a hit if needed. In GW7 I was 3rd in my ML, 57 points behind the leader. I'm now 75 points ahead of the old leader and 40 clear of the person in 2nd 😆
Pelle > Austin?
Do it
Really could have done with that Austin assist 🙁
