We go head-to-head with Paddy once again this morning as the festive schedule now picks up pace. Our faith is placed in a couple of midfield differentials who are starting to find their 2013/14 form, whilst QPR’s main man up front is also called upon as Harry Redknapp’s side entertain fellow strugglers Leicester.

Our first stop is at Loftus Road, then, where two of the bottom three go head-to-head. Having struck three times in his previous two home encounters, Charlie Austin is clearly vital to the hosts’ prospects in the final third, whilst at the back, hopes are high of defensive returns given that the Foxes have failed to score in their last five. Paddy are offering 33/1 on Austin to score at least twice and the R’s to grab a clean sheet and we’ll stick our necks out and make this our bet of the week, handing over £4 for this one.

Next up, our thoughts turn towards the summit as second-placed Southampton welcome City to St Mary’s. Given that the home side have conceded just once this season, this one is far from easy for the champions but we’re backing Yaya Toure to continue the form that saw him score against Swansea in last week’s comeback win. City’s tails will be up after defeating Bayern in midweek and with Paddy prepared to offer 14/1 on Toure to score and City to earn a clean sheet, we’ll take a punt and throw another £3 their way.

Our final bet is saved for Sunday’s encounter at the Lane, as Spurs square up to Everton. Christian Eriksen’s importance to the Tottenham cause was underlined last weekend as the Dane produced a goal and assist in a comeback win at Hull and he’ll be looking to do the same against the Toffees. Paddy are offering 12/1 on Eriksen to score and the home side to grab a clean sheet and we’re going to back Mauricio Pochettino’s side to the tune of our final £3.

    Krul (Elliot)

    Costa - Aguero - Austin

@Sherlock Holmes and Innsie, cheers for the Hutton suggestion. I've just done Kelly>Hutton, and it has multiple benefits:

    - 0.2 saving
    - Hutton(bur) covers Baines if he is out this weekend. Kelly(swa) didn't really do that.
    - Hutton's fixtures are very similar to Kelly so rotates well.
    - Hutton has SUN in GW19, which would allow me to pick Yun if I wanted without worrying about missing out on his CPL fixture if he left for the Asian Cup before GW19.

    Thanks guys, tidy move!

RMWCT please, edited to include Hutton this time! 😀

    Fabianski (Elliott)
    Baines Terry Caulker (Hutton Wisdom)
    Sanchez Hazard Siggy Downing (Boyd)
    Aguero Costa Austin
    (0.4itb)

Only remaining question is Caulker vs Yun. If I pick Yun then I have 1.2itb, which seems unnecessary right now, though I can envisage it coming in handy if I want to do Siggy>Eriksen or Downing>Chadli for instance (though I can't see any other moves I could make with 1.2)

He was pretty average at Villa. I am done with him. They are definitely due a pen though and Mangala may oblige.

I think Giroud could be a really good punt this week.

I concur. Sadly, I'm too chicken and have gone for Bony.

He cops a lot but it didn't take him long to show welbeck how to do it last week.

Wenger is so careful at bringing players back in the first XI. Can see him benched again unless Wenger's hand is forced through injuries. Is it possible Wellbz could play wide?

Best keeper until Jan wildcard for 5.5 or less. Thinking De Gea or Fab for Swansea. I don't have either teams players in defence... so which one?

Fabianski. No doubt. Least goals conceded after Southampton and Chelsea.
