We go head-to-head with Paddy once again this morning as the festive schedule now picks up pace. Our faith is placed in a couple of midfield differentials who are starting to find their 2013/14 form, whilst QPR’s main man up front is also called upon as Harry Redknapp’s side entertain fellow strugglers Leicester.

Our first stop is at Loftus Road, then, where two of the bottom three go head-to-head. Having struck three times in his previous two home encounters, Charlie Austin is clearly vital to the hosts’ prospects in the final third, whilst at the back, hopes are high of defensive returns given that the Foxes have failed to score in their last five. Paddy are offering 33/1 on Austin to score at least twice and the R’s to grab a clean sheet and we’ll stick our necks out and make this our bet of the week, handing over £4 for this one.

Next up, our thoughts turn towards the summit as second-placed Southampton welcome City to St Mary’s. Given that the home side have conceded just once this season, this one is far from easy for the champions but we’re backing Yaya Toure to continue the form that saw him score against Swansea in last week’s comeback win. City’s tails will be up after defeating Bayern in midweek and with Paddy prepared to offer 14/1 on Toure to score and City to earn a clean sheet, we’ll take a punt and throw another £3 their way.

Our final bet is saved for Sunday’s encounter at the Lane, as Spurs square up to Everton. Christian Eriksen’s importance to the Tottenham cause was underlined last weekend as the Dane produced a goal and assist in a comeback win at Hull and he’ll be looking to do the same against the Toffees. Paddy are offering 12/1 on Eriksen to score and the home side to grab a clean sheet and we’re going to back Mauricio Pochettino’s side to the tune of our final £3.

To carry over the ft or use it is the qiestion...have done sakho to austin. Have 1ft and 0.5m

    foster
naylor • yun • chambers ---- clyne chester....def is fine for this gw but chester is a non starter
siggy • adm • alexis • tadic ---- arfield...tadic is the sore thumb sticking out
    kun • costa • sakho

    A: tadic >> 8.2m mid...chadli/mirllas..any stand out options?
B: tadic + chester >> sterling and hutton (-4)...I think sterling will be strong in next 3 games contrary to expectation..gers rid of chester also which is a bonus
C: save the ft to carry over and hope tadic gives me a farewell gift

I'd play Clyne over either Yun or Chambers tbh... I think Mr. Clyne now has to be considered fixture-proof. He could spank in a 30 yard screamer against pretty much anyone, and southampton are capable of keeping clean sheets against just about anyone...

I'd also bank the FT... I think it's time to gather up 2x FT's asap & keep them free, as injuries are going to come into play more & more over the christmas crunch

I am kind of surprised Rooney is an A while Austin, Sakho are Bs (which is the same as Pelle and Giroud)

They reverted to a back 3/5 against arsenal & ADM reverted to looking dangerous again. He was a fluffed 1:1 away from scoring 14 points instead of 5. I'm hoping for BIG things from him in the next 2 games, like 30 points type of big things.

I thought it was more Villa putting 10 men in their own half & then letting Agbongles run into all kinds of space... if anything, it will be the other way around vs. City, pressure will be off southampton to a certain extent.

Although I could easily see either (a) Aguero notching a brace (b) being carted off injured after 2 mins (c) anything in between.

You just don't know with Kun this year - look at some of the games he's blanked in, & then he goes nd pops up with a hattrick against Bayern...

I asked some questions on the previous page. Maybe they would be better linked with the wc team..

    Foster - 4m
    Chambers - Collins - NTaylor - Yun - Wasilewski
    Hazard - ADM - Sanchez - Siggy - Boyd
    Costa - Aguero - Austin

    A) Should I find a place for Yaya
    B) Should I find a place for Eriksen
    C) Should I find a place for Rooney
    D) Should I find a place for a Chelsea defender
    E) Should I find a place for Baines

Well you've got ADM... probably none, I'd stick if you believe in ADMs point potential.

I'm on WC as well, I've chosen to go without ADM which has freed up a lot of money in defense and GK positions. Might not be a good way to go if ADM hovers up the points!

      gonna say clyne.

the form burnley are in (and villa going the other way), you'd got to think that there are roughly equal chances of the defender in question conceding.

between the two (with both conceding), clyne is clearly more likely to return attacking points (hutton none so far this season).

      so clyne.

it's not worth krul out for a hit is it?

foster is my backup and although he prob wont keep a cs, fabianski wont necessarily keep one either.

what's the source of krul injury , is it in the scout tweets?

Totalfpl reporting he might be out for a month. I'm dropping him from my wc team I think. Defo not worth the hit if you have foster

I would sell krul at all. Even next week. Foster as a single for 4 to 5 weeks looks good

Heaton, Hutton & Fab > Foster, Wasl & Hazard and you have my wildcard team. So I would go A with those 3 changes 😉

      Morning guys

      RMT please:

      Guzan
      Baines, Williams, Caulker
Sanchez (C), Siggy, ADM (V), Chadli
      Pelle, Costa, Welbeck

      Bench: Foster, Janmaat, Clyne Larsson

      Welbeck -> Austin worth a -4 hit?

You think my bench order is ok? Could be important this weekend with the injuries in my team!

      Cheers

Play 1 out of the 3, Chambers. Naylor, Yun. Leaning towards Naylor with Chambers first sub ahead of Yun.

So with Krul possibly out is worth trade Gilks -> Elliot (-4) or Krul to anyone under 5M or just take the zero points and trade next week.

      A) Tadic and Eriksen to Sanchez and Henderson for -4
      B) Tadic and Baines to Sanchez and Naylor for -4
      C) Tadic for anyone up to 9.2M for free
      D) Save transfer

What would you rather do? 😀

Gents.. I'm on my WC, selling value of baines 7.1, I've got 0.1 itb, do I transfer him out for ivanovic (7.2). Yes or no, first to 3 I lock it in, cheers

I did it last week... so yes - and get baines in after he's gone thru the next three which includes spurs away & city away so say less than 10 points across those 3 games - hopefully by which time he'll be back down to 7.0, and meanwhile Ivanovic will have scored 20+ points in his three games 😉

      Krul
      Baines Naylor dummett
Fab ADM Hazard Siggy (c) Downing
      Aguero (VC) Perez

      Subs. McCarthy Chambers Pelle Alderweireld

Krul - do I switch? Nothing in bank and already three toon players so can't switch McCarthy to Elliot
      Perez over Pelle?

Tempted Pelle to Austin for my free and just hope Rob Green screws himself in warm up!
      Aguero captain over siggy?
      Thanks!

Spotted a couple of useful rotational combos:

GK -> Green/Speroni (For any Krul owners w/itchy trigger fingers)
      Mids -> Bolasie/Diame...or Jedi/Brady if trying to save £

I'm tempted to try to get both in.

Alternatively - Any interest in Courtois as a Krul replacement? Thibaut looks like the very definition of a fire & forget & is significantly cheaper than Ivan.

Useful would mean they score goal and get clean sheets.
