I agree there is more to it than that but he's had a decisive outcome on the game so that should also count.
Can get Max bonus for Liverpool in their defeat to Chelsea when all he did was score a deflected goal. The system is flawed.Agreed. But then you also look at Gary Cahill in that match and he was woeful. Just happened to score a goal and attract a bonus point for it.
It would be great for bonus points to acknowledge # of successful passes and other 'underlying' statistics that keep the game moving.
