Our Friday lunchtime look at the PlayON Player Price List arrives once again as the packed festive schedule continues. As always, we offer a couple of picks per position: one essential weekend target and a left-field alternative for your consideration.

Fantasy managers should be aware that PlayON have now extended the deadline for submitting your teams. Previously, the cut-off point was two hours before the first kick-off in a Gameweek but now you can now tinker with your starting XI right up until the first match in each Gameweek gets underway.

PlayON has Freeroll games and Guaranteed Pot games running each week for the rest of the season at www.PlayON.co. This week they have £350 in Freerolls and over £2,000 in Guaranteed Pots on offer – to get your free entry into the Freerolls just follow them on Twitter at https://twitter.com/PlayON and like them on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/PlayON

Goalkeeper – Hugo Lloris
After a midweek defeat at Chelsea, Spurs will be hoping for an easier test at home to Crystal Palace this weekend. The Frenchman has kept a paltry three clean sheets this season but having only conceded a single goal in his last three home appearances, will be hoping for a shut-out against an Eagles side that failed to score at home to Aston Villa in midweek. At 7.8m, Lloris is by no means a budget option but with 12 saves (worth 200 points apiece in PlayON) could still prove worthwhile should he fail to keep out Neil Warnock’s side. Chelsea, on the other hand, registered a fourth successive clean sheet in all competitions in midweek – an ominous sign for their title challengers. Thibaut Courtois may be the joint-top most expensive keeper at a price of 8.2m but the Belgian remains the cheapest route into the Blues backline away to a Newcastle side that has scored twice in the last three Gameweeks.

Defender – Alan Hutton
After keeping three clean sheets in the first four Gameweeks, Aston Villa fell victim to a terrible run of fixtures which forced their defenders off our radars. Paul Lambert looks to have finally steadied the ship again, though, and with just two goals conceded in their last four outings, Villa will be confident of keeping out a Leicester City side that has failed to score in four of their last five on the road. Available for just 6.0m this weekend, Hutton is an inexpensive enabler whose forward raids could yet reap reward in the final third. A home clash with Swansea brings West Ham’s Aaron Cresswell (7.4m) into contention. Big Sam’s side have conceded just once in the last four at Upton Park, whilst the Swans have scored only two goals in their previous four road trips. With a goal and assist in two of his last three at Upton Park, the summer signing looks in great form at both ends of the pitch right now.

Midfielder – Jordan Henderson
Back-to-back wins over Stoke and Leicester points towards an upturn in fortunes for Liverpool as Sunderland pay visit to Anfield. Henderson has only missed one match this season and is starting to pull his weight with two goals and three assists, including a strike away to Leicester on Tuesday night. At 8.3m, he’s a far cheaper option than Raheem Sterling (12.2m) and his defensive work – including interceptions and tackles – is almost smiled upon kindly by the PlayON Scoring Matrix. The essential midfielder this week is Christian Eriksen (10.9m). Despite a seemingly underwhelming season, the Tottenham playmaker has still managed five goals and with two strikes and an assist in his previous three, looks in promising form for the visit of Crystal Palace.

Forward – Nikica Jelavic
Four goals in the opening seven Gameweeks brought Jelavic onto Fantasy managers’ radars, before his season was curtailed by injury. The Hull frontman has failed to score since returning late last month but, after serving up a midweek assist against former club Everton, he’s starting to pick up the points just in time for a plum home clash with West Brom. At a price of just 8.2m, the Croatian looks tempting against a defence with a single clean sheet in eight attempts. The Premier League’s in-form player, Sergio Aguero is impossible to ignore. The City striker now has 14 goals in as many matches and entertains an Everton side that have conceded in each of their last five away trips – at 15.0m, he is anything but budget-friendly but given his red-hot displays, Aguero looks like a necessary inclusion to our squads.

Head over to www.PlayON.co and get your teams in for the £350 in Freerolls and £2,000 in guaranteed pots.

No..you could damned near get that by following the fixtures for the mid priced fwds. Throw in the odd brace and a few more BAPS then yes.

You're not quite following. If you swap your mid price forward according to fixtures, you can easily get combined points of over 200 for the season from them.

That's not his point. I wouldnt gi as far as mid priced options but you'd fancy any mid or forward over 9m to score more than 6 points per game over a run of easy fixtures (eriksen atm)

This game involves transfers. Can't easily switch to anyone with easy fixtures and a bit of form

Let's put it this way: if you would get 200 points in whole season from each of your starting XI, would you like to keep that team for season? I wouldn't.

With captain double on one player, it would give you a decent 2400 points for season. But that would not get you anywhere near the top 1k. You'll be probably outside top 10k even.

and if you pay 11.0 for 200 points, you cannot afford a whole team of those 200 pointers.

Terry more likely to score, Azpilicueta more likely for BAPS if Terry doesn't score.

I think there will be more cleansheets than Terry goals in the period you're likely to own them.

On that basis and the fact he's slightly cheaper - Azpil.

      No real difference

Both nailed , terry more goal threat but Azpi more bps

Think I'd just go Terry if could afford the extra .2 ....although you never know when that .2 will come in handy

I went for terry instead and effectively from last 2 am 7 points worse off. However, I feel terry will start every game when fit over the season where azpil will eventually be rested for Luis .

Another consideration is that (imo) Terry is likely to play 1 extra game during Xmas as Azpi has more competition for places.

That said this is only speculation as Zouma or Ivan can start 1 game at CB over Xmas and who knows if it will be Terry or Cahill who get benched.

By the time Terry scores, Azpi may have outdone him in bonus points, there is the threat of rotation and I do believe Azpi is more at threat so it's a tough one, flip a coin as gay as that sounds, really is 50/50

Naismith, McCarthy & Gibson are all "doubts" for the trip to the Etihad but Pienaar "is fully fit now" #EFC

Pelle likely to do much against United? Would you recommend a straight swap to Kane?

      I'd swap.

Yes, Pelle has 2 shots on target in the last 6.

Who is API again? If its Azpili, tbh he didnt do anything much for a couple of games prior to Spurs. Not really a surprise.

It's not madness to not own a player that will hardly every get you more than 6 points and had one clean sheet away from home all season

Alright, not madness, but 6 for a Chelsea defender (6.1 now) is very good.

Thinking of taking a hit for GW16, how does this sound.. Bony, Fab and wisdom to Costa, downing and Ivanovic?

I like the moves but would be wary about Ivanovic. He's played the most minutes of any Chelsea defender and could easily be rested with Azpilicueta taking up RB.

True that, but I can't ignore good attacking stats. I think he week explode soon. Also, he is due to drop in price soon

Yeah maybe wait for him to drop in price, first. I've gone Azpilicueta as I think his place is most assured after Terry.

I've been neglecting my team for the last couple of weeks due to work. Totally forgot there was an extra GW this week! Not sure what to do with this:

    Guzan - Gilks
    Baines - Clyne - (Wisdom - Duff) - Yun
    Sanchez - Fab - Barkley - Sigurdsson - (Isgrove)
    Kun - Costa - Pelle
    2 FT, 0.4 ITB

The obvious ones to lose are Duff (injury) and Pelle (form). Should I also toss Barkley over the side, and is Hazard essential at this point?

Think I'd go Pelle to Austin or Kane

Then either fab - haz or Clyne to a big defender a Chelsea or city

Just ditch Pellé, you have cover for injuries etc in the other areas, and his form is woeful

Just saw wengers comments about Sanchez, How can all these players need to be rested!

Ronaldo and Messi can do and would happily play every single game without fail because they are winners and want to be the best.

Fitness should not be an issue for all these top players like Sanchez.

To be fair, he runs about like a blue arsed fly. I think Wenger is showing him his appreciation, publicly. Man management. He'll definitely start away to Stoke.

These guys are professional athletes and so their bodies get put under a lot of strain, the body needs to be allowed sufficient recovery time or it will break.. As a five time half-marathon runner I know this for a fact. I am currently enduring a fourteen week injury lay off because of over training. Also this is not a fair comparison as La Liga as a lot less physical than the PL. Also Messi and Ronaldo do get rested. Your argument is both naive and ridiculous, especaially the "because they are winners" comment....

I don't understand why people hold onto players that are injured or out of favour, for so long. Take Chadli (please).

Hull(a) - injured, no news before the game. Subsequently find out it's a hamstring.
Eve(h) - misses out due to the same injury
    che(a) - plays 33 mins

I can understand the patience in waiting to see if he recovered for the Everton game, but having missed that, wouldn't you sell before Chelsea away? Even for a hit you'd fancy your chances on finding a mid who would recover the points.

Benching him for Spurs' nice run of fixtures is even a risk as they played so well without him in beating Everton.

And if they are keeping him for the money, the slower price changes this season make that even less of an issue. You can buy him back.

Alcaraz is my particular downfall. Just kept him because I could bench him and make transfers elsewhere.

Noother pressing matters, so thinking about Coleman -> Zabaleta.

+ fixtures, some att. threat, Aguero to finish his chances
    - could be rotated with Sagna?? (not sure)

Is this a good or unnecessary transfer?

Clichy could be rotated with anybody, not Zaba. Been a first choice since the last 2 seasons?
