With the fall-out from Sergio Aguero’s injury reverberating around the Fantasy Football community, it’s time to distract ourselves from our return to the drawing board and resume the Gameweek action.

A pair of Premier League encounters await, with events beginning at the Boleyn Ground as Swansea City clash with West Ham. A battle of two in-form teams harbouring top six ambitions, the Hammers go into this match with just one defeat in the last eight, while the Swans’ have also suffered just one setback in their previous six league outings. Fantasy managers will of course be hoping that the 50% owned Gylfi Sigurdsson can help rescue the Gameweek with midfield returns, while Wilfried Bony will likely be auditioning as the potential Sergio Aguero replacement, once the City’s striker’s prognosis is confirmed.

Later today, Villa meet Leicester City in a midlands derby that, while bereft of Fantasy talent, could yet prove of interest with Christian Benteke now presenting an option up top. The Belgian returned to the scoresheet to earn the three points at Palace in midweek and, should he also put the Foxes to the sword, there’s little doubt that Benteke will be another name considered in the light of Aguero’s injury scare.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

so maybe now people will quit this NCNB crap. maxims such as this are just a crutch for the feeble-minded who 'd rather make as few decisions as possible in order to evade any culpabilty in their own failure. or. ya know. something :D. ok it's back on the meds for me

It's a rule for beginners so they don't make silly mistakes. Similar to never taking a hit for a defender.

ridiculous... like you say he wasn't denied, he had the chance and hit the post, how can you bring it back and give a free kick after that!

        That's not he rule.

    5. Guidinho
      • 15 Years
      11 years, 2 days ago

Because the chance that he got after was clearly hindered by the foul. If the keeper had not hit him he would have had a shot much earlier from a less tight angle, more likely he would have scored. Its no different to playing an advantage, nothing coming from the advantage and then going back to the original foul.

    6. Wilshere Knowledge
      • 12 Years

Because Sakho would have scored, but was sent wide to where he couldn't score. I think it's a good decision.

He still fouled as last man - doesn't matter if advantage is played. If ref had blown straight away, it's a red. So it's a red regardless.

He was put off balance by the contact. Would've been a far easier shot if Fabianski didn't hit him

      1. The3rdTurd

But it was still an 'obvious' scoring opportunity, even though he was pushed wider.

Don't WC with 2 FTS. You can do some serious surgery with a -4 or -8 and save the invaluable WC.

Advantage was played, and WHU got their shot away. Isn't there a rule that states you can't give an advantage and give a red card after? Or does that rule just apply when a goal is scored after the advantage is played?
