With a tenner in hand, we go head-to-head with Paddy once again this Saturday morning. This time around, we call upon the services of City’s Bosnian frontman, Arsenal’s Spanish playmaker and Palace’s chief tormenter at home to Stoke’s porous backline.

Our first stop is at basement-dwellers Leicester as in-form champions City pay visit. Manuel Pellegrini showed in midweek that they are more than capable of prevailing without the injured Sergio Aguero and with Edin Dzeko looking set to start, we’re placing our faith in the big Bosnia. Paddy are offering 8/1 on Dzeko to score two or more and with morale high in the visitors’ camp, we’re making this our bet of the week and throwing £4 their way.

Next up, we turn to the Emirates, where Arsenal and Newcastle go head-to-head. With Aaron Ramsey sidelined due to a hamstring problem, we’re turning to another of last weekend’s goal scorers to continue his fine form and call upon Santi Cazorla to torment a Magpies backline hit hard by injury and suspension. With Paddy willing to offer 15/2 on a Cazorla goal and Gunners clean sheet, we shell out a further £3.

Our last flutter takes place at Selhurst Park, where Palace entertain Stoke. Yannick Bolasie has netted only once this season but has posed a major threat in recent weeks – a total of 18 shots is at least five more than any other midfielder in the last four Gameweeks. With Paddy offering 16/1 for a Bolasie goal and Eagles shut-out, we turn over our final £3.

Register and Bet £10 And Get £20 Free

If you’re new to Paddy Power, you can take up any of these odds and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up on this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally, of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

    Captain choise:
    A. Hazard - logical
    B. Nasri - rising form
    C. Rooney - heart wanna choose him:-)

    What to do?

If you're in the top 25K, A (if you want to do what most up that high are doing)

If not, B (for bold and righteous)

Who will take over the set-pieces in Cesc's absence? Hazard, Willian or other? I don't see better options.

I don't see Dzeko not getting games under his belt, and probably not scoring. So he is almost certain to provide both. With Silva, Nasri and Kolarov (hopefully), he will have the chances. But again this is the FPL, you can never be sure.

They've been dreadful but Rooney has still picked up points. Plus he's guaranteed to play 90 mins every game. I'm on Sky Sports and my problem is that I already have Rooney in. I'd like Dzeko but I'm not sure it's worth the transfer.

Thoughts on Silva? City have an extremely kind run of games and with Aguero out will probably be playing in the hole. Only problem I foresee is that with the hectic schedule he'll end up getting subbed off between 60-70mins every game to preserve him. Worth a punt or wait until after the new year?

    1. Heels_Over_Head
      • 12 Years
      11 years, 3 months ago

if you're going to bring in silva or nasri or yaya or dzeko or joveitic or anyone from man city, the run of 5 games that starts today is the time to do it

      1. Slifer90
        • 11 Years
        11 years, 3 months ago

I'm so tempted. I'm on Sky Sports so the issue is that the players I'd consider taking out for Dzeko or Silva (Sterling and Rooney) all play on the same day or after City. So it'd just be making a straight swap and not getting any extra games out of it. Plus I need Rooney and Sterling for captaincy changes in the upcoming weeks. I'm in one of those situations where I don't like my team but logic dictates that I stick with it for now.

😯 is I was just mentioned by name in the House of Lords two days ago regarding a piece I wrote about Sri Lanka

          baffled

If you scroll down to the bold header that says 5:37pm... then a few more paragraphs... then there is a one line paragraph that reads:
"That is what it is all about."

The next paragraph is where I am mentioned by name.

Pretty slim I'd say. Kolarov and Sagna to both start in my opinion.

    I did Aguero -> RVP

Was a good move? Kinda regretting it. I think i should have done Aguero -> Lukaku instead.

Thank you. I hope so, Rvp could be a nice differential.

Can't wait for Kun to come back. I need him.

      We'll soon find out 😛

Tbh though, I don't rate RVP as an option, extremely expensive and was basically gifted his brace on the weekend.

I dislike not having players playing in the last game as it virtually guarantees you a red arrow at the end of the GW. But I can't select Caulker ahead of Boyd or Hutton can I?

How does it guarantee a red arrow? If you score well early on, you will get a green arrow.

Well I won't have any other players playing lots of other players will get points mainly from everton players so I will drop from my ranking the day before. I guess overall though it would not be a red arrow

How many of Costa's goals have been set up by Cesc? Hazard seems more likely to create a goal out of nothing
