What is the criteria for keepers to get bonus points? Has anyone noticed a pattern of when they get awarded? I've got De Gea and by all accounts he had an outstanding game yesterday and was man of the match. Yet it didn't translate into bonus points and it got me thinking, exactly what does a keeper have to do? Save a penalty? Clean sheet and a penalty save?
Don't take this as sour grapes. I'm delighted with the clean sheet and save points. Just genuinely interested in what it takes for a keeper to be recognised in the BPS system.
Good question. It is very strange, because I once had Foster get 2 BPs with only 2 saves
I'm wondering if the passing stats are a factor which would help those who pass it short. or maybe booting it clear counts as a clearance? Catching crosses?
In short, I don't know! And I don't think it will affect my FPL decisions that much so can't be bothered checking the rules

Yes, they only blow up over a PK. IMO GLOf course keepers can earn extra points through saves that aren't available to outfield players so it will tend to balance out. Just wondered if anyone knew the actual 'formula'. From what I can see the only way to be sure of bonus points is to save a pen and keep a cleanie.
I think De Gea's going to be a star. He had a shaky start at United but he was young. He's really finding his feet this season.
