Kevin Mirallas misses Everton’s trip to Southampton. Dusan Tadic is ruled out for the Saints, whilst Graziano Pelle is doubtful. Hull’s Michael Dawson is out for up to five weeks, Bojan is back in training for Stoke, Theo Walcott will be assessed ahead of Arsenal’s trip to Liverpool, whilst Mario Balotelli is set to serve a one-match ban for Brendan Rodgers’ side.

Nacho Monreal, Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will be assessed tomorrow, according to Arsene Wenger. The latter is set for a late test after failing to train, whilst the likes of Laurent Koscielny, Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere remain on the sidelines.

Marian Chamakh is ruled out of Palace’s trip to City, though James McCarthy is set to feature despite sustaining a rib problem. Adrian Mariappa and Jonny Williams are back in training and the former could make the squad if he proves his fitness.

Kevin Mirallas is out of Everton’s trip to St Mary’s with an ankle problem but is expected to recover for the festive fixtures, according to Roberto Martinez. James McCarthy, Leon Osman, Darron Gibson and Tony Hibbert are all doubtful for the Toffees.

Alan Hutton, Kieran Richardson and Tom Cleverley are all suspended for Villa’s home clash with United. Paul Lambert is still without the likes of Philippe Senderos and Nathan Baker at the back, whilst Ashley Westwood remains out with a knee injury.

Hull are set to be without Michael Dawson for up to five weeks with a hamstring tear, whilst Tom Huddlestone serves the first of a four-match ban at home to Swansea.

David Nugent is back in training for Leicester after stepping up his recovery from an ankle problem, though the likes of Kasper Schmeichel and Matthew Upson are still unavailable for the trip to West Ham.

Mario Balotelli has been handed a one-match ban by the FA for recent social media posts and will skip Liverpool’s home clash with Arsenal.

Alan Pardew was handed a boost ahead of Newcastle’s derby home encounter with Sunderland, with reports in the local press confirming Jak Alnwick is set to recover from a shoulder injury to take his place between the sticks. Moussa Sissoko is likely to recover from a midweek knock, whilst the Magpies boss also expects Papiss Cisse to recover from illness.

The problems are mounting for Southampton ahead of the weekend home clash with Everton. Ronald Koeman has three players – Morgan Schneiderlin, Victor Wanyama and Florin Gardos – all suspended, whilst Dusan Tadic and Jake Hesketh join Jack Cork on the sidelines through injury. Graziano Pelle and Steven Davis are both doubtful and are set for late fitness tests.

Bojan has returned to training for Stoke after recovering from a hip injury sustained last weekend. Mark Hughes is confident on the Spaniard’s availability for Monday’s visit of Chelsea and also has Marc Muniesa back from injury, though Stephen Ireland (knee) is a doubt.

Chris Brunt has recovered from a hamstring injury and returns for the Baggies’ trip to Loftus Road. Georgios Samaras is sidelined, whilst fellow forward Victor Anichebe is a doubt due to a groin injury.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter stream as breaking news unfolds.

    Please advise!

    A. Dzeko > Lukaku
    B. Krul > Hart (bench Dzeko and play Siggy)
    C. Both for -4
    D. Dzeko > Kane/Bony

Kind of don't want to make a -4 but Hart should* outscore Foster until the WC

WHM's fixtures are turning bad soon don't do D. I would like to own Eriksen but wouldn't risk the armband on him? Hate the troll that is Yaya because his stats are always so bad but I was punished last season. Nasri has form and fixtures and injuries that will almost guarantee him game time. Nasri

if it's for a hit, would you prefer Sakho or Lukaku as a short term Dzeko replacement? why?

    1. Red Star Toro
      • 11 Years
      11 years, 3 months ago

Sakho but that's just personal thing, I'm not a big fan of Lukaku he's kinda overhyped IMO and rarely delivers.

How short-term? Still tempted to say Sakho because Lukaku has frustrated me in the past.

until January WC or any of City's forward fully fit, whenever comes first. not really short, though.. still play 3-4 GW

have this urge of playing Lukaku since Saints won't have most of their starters but my gut seems wrong most of the time in december.

        1. Vardy Gras PBFC
          • 12 Years
          11 years, 3 months ago

Obviously just my opinion, but I'm not sure of Carroll's return and how it impacts Sakho - I don't have any WHU so haven't looked into it.

Similarly, I worry about Lukaku when he doesn't have a point to prove, which he doesn't at the moment.

          What about Bony or Giroud?

  14. Vardy Gras PBFC

    11 years, 3 months ago

Good time of the day to thee...

Starting to get twitchy with 1FT and 0.6 spare and a lack of MAN or WHU, but I should save, right?

    Foster
    Dummett // Baines // Ivanvoic
    YYT // Sanchez // Hazard (c) // Eriksen (vc)
    Costa // Austin // Cisse

    Myhill // Siggy // YSY // Wisdom

I would stick. Your team is excellent. But I would reconsider my captain: I think Yaya, Austin, Sakho, and Eriksen are better bets

      1. Vardy Gras PBFC
        • 12 Years
        11 years, 3 months ago

        Cheers for the reply.

I agree, it's a bit of a risk but I engineered some tables yesterday to convince me that Hazard would be an okay choice.

PS Your team looks excellent too. Benching Siggy?

        1. Tom Tom
          • 11 Years
          11 years, 3 months ago

Benching Siggy, as a least best option. I could play him instead of Sánchez, but that'd be madness. I think the rest of the front eight are stronger than Siggy this week. My big fear is not having any City attacker though

          1. Vardy Gras PBFC
            • 12 Years
            11 years, 3 months ago

But then there's no guarantee City will adapt to the new formation and blitz Palace, or that a glut of goals scored wont be shared across the team.

I'm more concerned about not having Downing.

            Good luck though dude!

With seemingly too many captaincy options to choose from, and none looking like they have a chance of getting HUGE hauls, I'm actually considering captaining Fabregas. Is anyone else more likely to get a mark this week? He's rather consistent, and usually rewarded bonus points for volume of passes alone. Is this a stupid pick?

against a weak Saints defence he should do well and has decent 3 fixtures after that

Saints look so depleted I don't see how Lukaku wouldn't score

thanks, that's what i'm leaning towards currently

though dzeko and benteke out for rooney and kane for a hit is tempting too

It is and it can pay off...expect 2 points of from Tekkers and expect some points from Rooney so a hit can easily be neutralised and could be profitable!

if he cannot even score at home against qpr..u should not put ur faith in lukaku scoring against a weakened soton

Hi all, Is there any advisable way of getting Yaya into the Front 8 below, or should I stick for this week? :

Downing - Sánchez - Eriksen (vc) - Hazard (Siggy)
    Kane (c) - Costa - Bony

    Cheers

Thinking of dumping Costa, new team will look like this..... thoughts? Bringing Nasri, Sterling and Giroud in to replace.

    Lloris (Pantilimon)
Baines/Clichy/Clyne/Wisdom (Taylor) - Although Clichy probably won't play.
    Fab/Nasri/Sterling/Siggy (Wanyama)
    Bony/Giroud/Rooney

Those that assume Siggy plays bad away, look at his opponents he's played away.

mun, che, sun, stk, eve, mci, whu

    They're all difficult games....

Saw a few on here a couple of nights ago with ranks ranging from 800-4000 or so captaining Austin. Certainly grabbed my interest.

Only Swansea and the top 6 have conceded less goals than West Brom. Joint second most clean sheets in the league.
