Very few top soccer players would be tough enough for football or hurling. I laugh that people are amazed at teams playing 3 games in 6 days when there's amateur players here working or in college that'd play 3 or 4 games every week.

He was. There's a difference between being physically tough and making a commitment when you're 14 or so to put all your eggs into the one basket, try a professional game and back yourself. At the end of the day if your team loses in GAA you'l, usually have an education and/ or a job to fall back on to. If you head to England playing ball and crash and burn there's not too many options and it's extremely hard to make it to the Premier League level.
