We go head-to-head with Paddy once again this Gameweek and place our faith in a trio of in-form players with tasty looking fixtures on their Boxing Day menus. Arsenal’s resurgent frontman, Man City’s little magician and Tottenham’s Danish maestro are all called upon in our bid for a Merry Christmas.

Our first port of call is the Emirates Stadium where Arsenal face a QPR side that have lost every away match this season and scored just three times on their travels. Four goals in six appearances since returning to injury brings Olivier Giroud into contention for this one, and despite the form of Charlie Austin, we’re going to back the hosts to win this one comfortably – with Paddy offering 13/2 on Giroud to score two or more and Arsene Wenger’s side to collect a clean sheet, we’re shelling out £3 on this one.

Next up we head to the Hawthorns as West Brom host champions City. The odds are on Manuel Pellegrini’s side to deliver at both ends of the pitch in the Midlands match – they’re looking for a seventh straight win here and have conceded just a single goal in five. Paddy are willing to offer 11/2 on David Silva to score and City to earn clean sheet and we’re backing the little Spaniard to get amongst the goals once again – we part company with another £3.

Our final cash is splashed on Tottenham’s trip to struggling Leicester. Christian Eriksen’s sparkling form looks too good to ignore here – the Dane has scored in two of his last three away appearances, with only Chelsea keeping him at bay. With Paddy prepared to offer 8/1 on Eriksen to score and the north London outfit to keep out their hosts, we make this our bet of the week and hand over our final £4.

    My three main contenders for the armband is Alexis, Hazard and Costa. This is how I see it.

    Alexis
    Pros: Plays QPR, Arsenal score goals, dead ball duties
    Cons: Looks jaded, not been playing in the hole lately, might get rested

    Hazard
    Pros: Crazy hot form at home, pens
    Cons: Injury doubt, Chelsea won't score for fun in a game like this, rather control a 2-0 lead imo

    Costa
    Pros: Most likely to start out of the three, Striker and should get chances
    Cons: Has looked out of form, not that great fpl scores even if he scores a goal, almost guaranteed -1 for the yellow..

    Yaya could be thrown in the mix but prefer a captain playing at home. Currently leaning towards Haz (C) and Costa (VC), thoughts?
