Half-season memberships to Fantasy Football Scout are now available. You can sign up or upgrade your account for the rest of the season for just £10, which will give access to the Members Area and all Members content up until June 1 2015.

    Great time to introduce the half season membership!

    This is my first year taking FPL seriously (second year playing) and spending my time on FFS and learning deeper stat analysis has catapulted me from ~300k to the top 1k.

    Also, it is always nice to be able to sob with other people about benching Kane's 18 pts and bringing in Zeroleta for Baines,

    On my wildcard this week and will definitely subscribe for the rest of the season.

    Thanks for all the hard work especially throughout the festive break. Have a spectacular season ahead!

    I shall probably get Aguero at some point but don't feel any pressure to get him before he plays Arsenal and Chelsea.
    He had almost half an hour today against what has been one of the weaker defences over the last couple of months and whilst I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him score against either or both of City's next two, I don't yet see the point in dropping any of my strikers who are all scoring for fun.
    I would also need to savage my midfield to accommodate him or drop Costa and most of my spare cash.
    I appreciate it is fashionable here to dash headlong into his ownership, but I'll wait until he's bashing them in again or in my Jan wildcard which will be as late as possible so I know who is coming into teams for the second half of the season.

    The cheap players currently used as bench fillers are quite likely to be sidelined by incoming transfers and given the rotation position of clubs this year I think we have all come to realise a playing bench is (if anything is) essential this season.

    Anyone else not planning to panic buy Aguero?

      i wouldn't consider it panic buying. i think there are good arguments for and against waiting another week, and it could go either way. i believe he will start vs arsenal and very likely score- he loves the big games.

      Very much the same. Arsenal (h) he may not start, Chelsea (a) City may not score. GW 24 is plenty soon enough for me. As for price rises, FISO thinks he can't rise till next weekend:

      Q: So what is protection all about?
      A: If a player is red or yellow flagged for 2 days or more, once their icon goes back to grey, they are protected for 8 days.

      Q: What does that effectively mean?
      A: It means that for the next 8 days their price is frozen. It can neither rise nor fall. Once the 8 days is up, the player’s NTI or NTO is reset to zero and the normal rules of increases/decreases kick in from there.

      I don't know if this is true, but if they are correct there's no need at all to rush.

        It is tricky KoL. I have Silva, so at a push could downgrade his position as there are adequate cheaper mids available.
