Attacking points from defenders is like a lottery. Picking between Terry and Ivanovic is a coin flip so you have to get lucky.
A lot of this game is a lottery 😛
Most of it is quite predictable. A centre back scoring from a corner and you having that player is 80-90% luck imo.
I know but for instance...you can lose a lot of points through one mistake.
Costa>Giroud for example one week was awful.
Costa scores a brace, Giroud (C) gets sent off early on.
Costa was off-form, Giroud had some form and a good fixtures.That's the luck element but if you keep making decisions like that you'll do fine.
This is one of my central beliefs about FPL. I'd add the caveat that over the short term, they're a complete lottery. Long term it's a safe bet that players like Ivanovic/Baines/Terry will get more attacking points than most other defenders.

Lads, relax. For the vast majority of you, your GW rank of 2mil means little. Only focus on the top 10k average. You're literally hundreds of points ahead of the majority of players who scored 38 or more. It's inconsequential.
True. The overall average is better than the top 10k which means a lot too.
Exactly. I imagine the vast majority of those ranked 1mil+ ie dead teams, captained Costa, as he was the default captain choice when they were active.
This is what I'm hoping. Got a 1.3m rank this week, haven't had a green arrow with that gameweek rank or worse all season so will be interesting to see how much the Costa captainers have skewed things this week.
Assuming you're in the top 10k, a 1.3m GW rank this week would mean a green arrow!

Hazard and Sanchez are dead certs for my wildcard (unless Walcott suddenly explodes) but would welcome opinions on other who you all think are 'must haves'. Outside of Fabs I'm struggling. ADM is playing poorly in a poor side, Sterling is only just coming back into form... Thoughts?
