Granville and I raise out bats to the grandstand as the 150 comes up for the ScoutCast. Fittingly, we choose to spend the milestone episode moaning about Diego Costa, for very different reasons.

Chelsea’s “agro magnet” dominates discussion on the eve of an expected three-match ban that will end my love affair with the grizzled goal-getter. Meanwhile, Granville is left smarting from Costa’s 16-point Gameweek 22 haul as he does his best to make light of the 59-point chasm that now separates our teams.

Elsewhere, we glide through the ScoutCast regulars, whilst taking time out to lament Kevin Mirallas and his latest bout of Baines-bullying that robbed us both of belated returns.

Count the cost via this link, or pay your dues via the handy player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

First I've seen this morning about Sanchez injury, nothing on BBC website, what's the injury?

      Hamstring

Is this confirmed, I can't see any news on it anywhere, FPL says he's doubtful 75%.

If it's a hamstring surely he's out for 2-3 weeks?

Can't be any clearer than that..thanks.

Although I have just brought Sanchez in on my WC, so now I'm panicking.

I was 100% sure of my WC team 10 days ago...Fabregas, Sanchez, Siggurdsson, Costa...time to start again.

Wenger said the Gunners will find out on Saturday whether their star man will be forced out.

“The squad will be exactly the same as last Sunday,” Wenger said in his pre-match press conference.

“The only uncertainty we have is Alexis Sanchez who has a hamstring concern, and that will be decided on Saturday. He might be out for Sunday".

For those of us who have the 2nd WC left and wanna use it for DGWs, is GW28 the best time to use it (assuming Chelsea DGW is then as well)? Or how likely is it that there will be more juicy DGWs later in the season?

Sorry if this has been discussed before.

    1. JariL
      • 11 Years
      11 years, 2 months ago

Considering that the DGW teams have a blank just a week before, I would most likely focus on having a strong squad for GW27 when many without WC are struggling to even field full XI - so I could make some ground already then - and then WC for GW28 with as many DGW players that makes sense to have. Both Chelsea and Spurs have decent fixtures after, so it's not a necessity to offload them immediately after.

Putting all your eggs in Chelsea and Arsenal baskets could pay off but is a risk. I like the Tadic pick.

No Liverpool, Spurs or UTD might frustrate you.

      Don't like Defoe either.

Yeah, the Arsenal triple is a conscious risk - feel like we're coming into form and I need to make up some ground.

You do have me thinking about ADM now though. I've been put off by how LVG is using him, but such a good player that far up front could really do some damage I suppose...

Kinda agree on Defoe, but couldn't settle on an alternative. Maybe Gayle?

Worried Giroud can score and max 6 points.
I like ADM for a punt forgetting form.
A few will have Cazorla, not me. I would choose him if I had him.

I get annoyed by those that keep peddling Walcott. Just monitor for now and wait for him to get some gametime.

      No point in Rambo either.

Cazorla only if Sanchez is crocked long term.

Like who? Not sure I prefer any other midfielders in that price range (well Cazorla, but already have Sanchez and Giroud). Kos and Wolly nailed on with good fixtures - at similar price, who would you prefer instead of them?

        Defense will be something like

        Foster Myhill
        Koscielny Fonte Wollscheid PVA Baird

Lack of Chelsea D is the main problem IMO.

It's a good team - although personally I'm not sure about Silva with Aguero and would rather double up on Arsenal's attack with their fixtures. Your defense is great. Panti and Foster are great picks in their own right, but don't have the best rotation and in many weeks you'll end up benching the one who will score more points. I fancy someone else instead of Austin, especially considering that QPR have an upcoming blank as well (you have 5 players with blank GW27).

It's a great team, although I'm taking a slightly different approach.

Morning fellas. How does this wildcard team look for you:

    Pantilimon
    Koscielny, Bertrand, Terry
    Hazard, Sanchez, Downing, ADM
    Aguero, Giroud, Kane

    subs: Krul, Boyd, PvA, Baird

    Pants Foster
    Jones Cahill was Wisdom Baird
    Sanchez Hazard Fabregas Walcott Boyd
    Aguero Kane Giroud

0.0ITB. On WC. Will keep Sanchez as hopefully if he doesn't play its only 1 week. Have fair bit of TV in him so would be hard to get back in. Tossing up between Wally and Caz.. Don't know if Caz will keep up current form with Ozil back and Welbeck so to be. Any help guys?

Walcott's one of the best Fantasy players around, Oscar can easily get double figure hauls, despite Krul playing for Newcastle he always seems to pick up the points, Giroud can get goals as much as anyone else especially with the fixtures..

Pick Walcott when he has gametime under his belt. No point now.
            Oscar s too lightweight.
Krul-better options in Pants and Foster rot.
Gru is a donkey from a FPL perspective.

Barnes no thanks. Little too soon for Walcott. Nevertheless I think ADM, Krul and Oscar are not such bad options. I think United will improve and I fancy ADM to deliver also in the upcoming fixtures.
