These are difficult times for Granville. Sadly for him, his prediction that Diego Costa’s studs played into my hands along with Emre Can’s ankle proved correct – the Chelsea villain pushed me into a Gameweek 23 Wildcard and I cashed in.

It left Granville spitting feathers and 92-points behind but he remains defiant. Even with the millions draining from his squad via his active Wildcard, my resolute co-host is not giving up on keeping the season alive and the rivalry as bitter as ever.

We weigh up Granville’s latest options in his quest to close the gap: analysing the contest between Sturridge and Aguero for our place in our forward lines, check in on the fallout from the Sanchez injury, whilst wading through the usual regulars ahead of another Gameweek.

Pay your dues via this link or mark up the deficit via the handy player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

        Thanks both. No Wasp, its the reverse situation for me actually - I sold Sanchez last week, and am on WC this week. I have drafted Cazorla into my team as a temporary measure but have kept enough money in the bank to swap back (Caz --> Sanchez) as soon as Sanchez is available again. The early team news will let me decide whether I do it before or after the LEI match.

          Nice move. I'm in a bad situation. Already transferred Aguero in for the awful Rooney early in the week to avoid price increase. Really thought Sanchez would be fit for Spurs. Do you think I should take a hit or just play Boyd and wait and see Tues night regarding the Sanchez situation?

          P.S. APologies for spelling true as through #ashamed 🙂

    Quick poll peeps, would need to take a hit but who is the best replacement for Sanchez given the fact I have Silva and Hazard in my team? Have Giroud for Arsenal cover already.

    A) Cazorla
    B) Walcott
    C) Sterling
    D) ADM
    E) Keep and play Boyd
    F) Other

      Right I'm none the wiser after his poll 🙂

      Sterling has good form and tough fixtures
      ADM has good fixtures but bad form in a terrible LVG Man U formation
      Aresnal are loaded with options but I have Giroud and Sanchez may be back for Leicester.

        Hence why I think, E.

        There's no standout replacement for Sanchez - who is going to be available again shortly anyway. Not worth a 4pt hit imo.

      I've decided I'm keeping Bertrand. Look at the next three fixtures. Apart from this week, they aren't all that good. Doing Wasil -> Bellerin next week and knocking out two birds with one stone (was going to get Bellerin anyway, and getting rid of Wasi allows me to field 11 in GW27)

        We'll see. 😉

        I wouldn't mind having Bellerin or Ozil, in fact I'd quite like to, but getting to 3 Spurs and 3 Chelsea for GW 28 is the priority. I can get 5 with no hits or 6 for a -4 (which is what I'll probably do). Plus a good team out in GW 27.

        Of course if Leicester beat Villa in the Cup that might change things a bit.

          oh you can keep on going until the deadline on saturday.

          you would need to transfer a player you own to someone else then confirm, then just bring him in again afterwards. you will have unlimited transfers until saturday, all free.

          you should sell a player who is currently at the same price as you paid for him, that way you wont lose anything.

      What would happen if Dortmund theoretically win the CL and get relegated at the end of the season?

        They'd play CL instead of 4th in Bundesliga. I think.

    Lads I got 2FT so may as well use them.

    Foster - (Pants)
    Terry - Moreno - PVA - (Bert - Wasil)
    Sanchez - Haz - ADM - Chadli - (Boyd)
    Aguero(c) - Kane - Austin.

    A) Bert & Sanchez -> Clyne & Cazorla
    B) Sanchez & Austin -> Cazorla/Oscar & Giroud
    C) Bert & Sanchez -> Zouma & Cazorla
    D) Sanchez & Chadli -> Cazorla & Sterling/Cout
    E) Other?

        Straight swap for sanchez?

    What's missing from my WC team? I know it's fairly template and dull!

    Panti / Krul
    Clyne Bellerin Clichy Wisdom PVA
    Hazard Silva Cazorla Sterling Colback
    Aguero Giroud Kane

    £2.0m in the bank, would need to create around £0.8m in order to do Cazorla>Sanchez in the future, or sell Bellerin/Giroud if I wanted to upgrade from Silva > Sanchez at some point

      Clichy rotation risk, better off getting someone more solid?

        Agreed on Clichy too risky and it's maybe too much to spend on my defence. Any suggestions?

          leaning towards JT or maybe kompany, citys fixtures are too good to ignore.

      chelsea defence ? think you can downgrade a little on defence and krul if want to leave more cash for future

        How about Clichy > Zouma? Ofc Zouma isn't nailed, but Wisdom/PVA are are decent back ups

          erm not sure tbh , well if cash really an issue probably yes but belle and zouma both carry rotation risks..

      Terry over Clichy? Personally not too confident in City defence atm

      I think it's a very good team but would prefer a Chelsea defender to Clichy. Happy Zouma if you want to take a small risk, otherwise JT.

      I don't think you need to worry about getting Sanchez back. Giroud to Costa will be more important from GW 28 onwards.
