These are difficult times for Granville. Sadly for him, his prediction that Diego Costa’s studs played into my hands along with Emre Can’s ankle proved correct – the Chelsea villain pushed me into a Gameweek 23 Wildcard and I cashed in.

It left Granville spitting feathers and 92-points behind but he remains defiant. Even with the millions draining from his squad via his active Wildcard, my resolute co-host is not giving up on keeping the season alive and the rivalry as bitter as ever.

We weigh up Granville’s latest options in his quest to close the gap: analysing the contest between Sturridge and Aguero for our place in our forward lines, check in on the fallout from the Sanchez injury, whilst wading through the usual regulars ahead of another Gameweek.

Pay your dues via this link or mark up the deficit via the handy player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    What do we think of Fabregas and Bertrand out for Oscar and Naughton?

    Any other defenders that we are all herding towards. Already have Chelsea, WBA, Sumderland and Arsenal covered.

        Already triple Arsenal and Sanchez, Chadli, Hazard, with Cesc and Boyd. Would like to freshen things up I'm the middle and not have to enact my woeful bench.

            Good shout, may just do that.

    I think my WC mids will be Haz - Oscar - Silva - Caz.

    Caz is a boring pick. My ML rival has him, and (c) last GW. I don't think Wally or Ozil will outscore him with The form he's in and all them pens.

    Anything you'd change?

      Got the same plus considering Sterling too and go 3-5-2. That leaves an Arsenal spot free and cash in the bank if Sanchez is back for Leicester.

          Could go Giroud over Sterling but that's 3 Arsenal and to get Sanchez in would need to bin Caz which I don't want to do.

            That's why I'm dropping an Ars defender. Easy to swap Oscar/Silva for Sanchez when he's back without making two transfers. Would love Bellerin though, 4.4 is amazing

        2 transfers with a Silva downgrade as I doubt I'll be keeping him or Oscar for very long. Don't wanna go Giroud as that fills my Arsenal spots if I choose to get Sanchez (don't wanna have to bin Caz) and don't like any other strikers.

        Hence is there much point bringing him in now instead of Caz when Caz will surely start both

          Hence you have answered your own internal discussion.

          I bought Walcott happy for the goal and chance of start vs Spurs im considering the fact ill know if he will or wont play vs Leicester as a bonus but i totally get your opinion.

    What do people think of this WC?

    Krul

    Clyne/Terry/Naughton

    Silva/Haz/Walcott/Cazorla/Puncheon

    Aguero (c)/Kane

    Defoe/Bellerin/PVA/Foster

      You think Walcott will start 2 games in 4 days?

        Good point. But I have enough money in bank to wait for team news then transfer to anyone I want (i.e. Sanchez) if he doesn't play.

    Enjoying seeing all the Sanchez out posts. Might almost make him into a differential for me. And what a huge differential he would be!!

      Reminds me of having Costa (C) when everyone ditched him. Hopefully he'll make a miraculous recovery!

    Currently 3rd in my league of 23 with an OR of 21k, play it safe, play it safe/get differential or take a risk. What to do?

    A: Sanchez ---> Cazorla
    B: Sanchez + Puncheon ---> Cazorla + Sterling (-4hit)
    C: Sanchez ---> Sterling (hope giroud is enough ARS cover)
