Im getting worried about my team, i was 50k for a couple of weeks then i went down to 200k now up to 190k.

    Heaton, (Gilks)
    Trippier, Koscienly, Bertrand, (Kelly,Wisdom)
Sanchez, Oscar, Hazard, Di Maria, (Ameobi)
    Kane, Aguero, Giroud

It's a good team, just lacks a midfielder who consistently scores well against weaker opposition (Santi/Eriksen) and you should get rid of Heaton for Pantilmon or Wisdom/Trippier for PVA.

      You have made bad decisions.

Keeping Heaton on wildcard with no alternative is bad. Doubling with Trippier is worse. Look at Burnley's fixture schedule.

Keeping Sanchez was wasteful. 2 games missed already and quite likely another one Tuesday.

Try playing for the points available over the last 14 games of the season rather than chasing the points that have already been scored.

        I think that's a bit harsh.

I had double Burnley for the last four GWs to try and capitalise on a great run of fixtures. It didn't work out as well as it could but it looked decent on paper.

There's been much speculation surrounding Sanchez - we hardly knew whether he was likely to start or not. Some of us couldn't afford to buy back if we sold - and I know you don't want him anyway but I think that's a mistake.

I know a lot disagree, but I always think it's worth punting on these unregarded lowly options. 🙂 Can be great differentials if it works, and look at how many premium defenders have been disappointing too.

And there is no way you can get his points without owning him. Those who bought him cheap can't get him back, how tough is that to understand?

You can get as many points from 11m without Sanchez as with him if you use the money right. That's what counts.

As for "can't afford to get him back" that's nonsense. I believe I sold him for around 11m before the price drops. He'll cost me 0.1 or 0.2 more if I want him back. Big deal.

Well, that can be enough to deny you another prime target. I often find I'm just 0.1m short for the team I want. 🙁

Some players don't have 0.1 or 0.2 available though do they, let alone the FT's without taking hits. Have to see the game from everyone's perspective before giving that kind of advice.

        3. Ruth_NZ
          • 11 Years
          11 years, 2 months ago

I never said I wouldn't bring him back. Although it's unlikely that I will, I have more pressing things to do with my FTs around GW 27/8. Maybe with my 2nd wildcard later on.

A wildcard team should be set up for the long term shouldn't it? He hasn't any choice but to play Heaton game after game, even Heaton/Krul would have been better. Trippier must be removed. Bertrand is scoring no points and really should be removed too. Sanchez has blanked 2 games, it will probably be 3 and that was obvious as soon as the words "hamstring strain" were used.

The guy said he was worried. I gave him my candid appraisal. Nothing harsh about it.

I may have misinterpreted your tone then. Bertrand's dismissal was just bad luck...but I agree it's better to have two rotating keepers.

I couldn't say whether I expect Sanchez to start or not, but if he's back within a 3-gameweek window I'll be satisfied. Anything more and I could've afforded to sell and buy back.

                Aye that's fair enough.

And planning too many transfers in advance can go wrong, so I'm playing a slightly risky game with the temporary Burnley defence. So far so good but anything can happen

Any advice for FT? Need to get rid of one of Terry, Eriksen, Hazard or Kane before GW 27. Is downgrading Sanchez or Cazorla to bring in Sturridge or Costa a good option or should I wait until next week for 2 FT? Also not sure how much Wisdom and Bellerin will start

    de Gea, Heaton
Terry, Bellerin, Wisdom, van Aanholt, Wollscheid
    Sanchez, Cazorla, Hazard, Eriksen, Boyd

Yes. If Villa beat Leicester in the FA Cup next weekend that's most likely what will happen.

Yes but only if Villa beat Leicester in FA Cup - not guaranteed even if that happens

Hmm. Didn't expect to use my entire bench (who didn't even all play) the first week after wildcarding.

Maybe took a few too many risks in Zouma and Wisdom. WHat are others with these 2 thinking?
