With bragging rights over Paddy at stake, we’ve backed the Tigers’ latest recruit, Villa’s struggling striker and Arsenal’s form playmaker to bring home the bacon.

Hull City’s home tie against Queens Park Rangers has us eyeing up the Tigers’ new striker Dame N’Doye. The Senegalese international notched a goal and an assist on his debut last week and will fancy his chances against an R’s rearquard that’s only mustered two shut-outs in their previous 10 outings. Meanwhile, Steve Bruce’s men have recorded two clean sheets in their last three home clashes, so we’ll happily take up Paddy’s 9/2 offer on N’Ddoye to score and Hull to keep a clean sheet against QPR to the tune of £3.

For our second bet, we’re putting faith in Tim Sherwood to kick start Christian Benteke’s season as Aston Villa play host to an injury-ridden Stoke City side that’s fallen to consecutive 4-1 defeats. Despite not scoring in the Villans’ 2-1 FA Cup win over Leicester City, the imposing Belgian striker was a thorn in their side, fashioning as many shots at goal (ten) as the entire Foxes outfit. As such, we see Paddy Power’s 5/1 offer on Benteke to score and Aston Villa to keep a clean sheet as worthy of a £4 investment and make this our bet of the week.

We’ve reserved our final wager for the weekend’s first London derby, as Crystal Palace welcome Arsenal to Selhurst Park. Gunners playmaker Mesut Ozil is at the forefront of our minds for this encounter, having tallied two goals and three assists since his return from injury. Considering Arsenal have registered shut-outs in three of their last five, and Paddy are offering 13/2 on Mesut Ozil to score and Arsenal to keep a clean sheet against Palace, we’re more than willing to part with our remaining £3.

Register and Bet £10 And Get £20 Free

If you’re new to Paddy Power, you can take up any of these odds and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up on this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally, of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

This is the first season I have managed to keep my WC until after Christmas and it looks like the DGWs are going to be a bit of a damp squib. Is there are chance that FA Cup related DGWs will be in GW34 with the Chelsea double?

I want to make the moves over the next few weeks to get:

    Foster
    Betrand, Terry, Clyne, Bellerin, Zouma
    Haz, Sanchez, Eriksen, Mane, Ibe
    Aguero, Kane, Giroud

Thoughts? Should I do this and if so, what would be the best way. I have 1FT and 0.2

    Rules of FPL

    1) Pick players that play
    2) Do not sell a player in form for a player out of form
    3) There are no other hard and fast rules

You've come up with a list of rules on the spot and are claiming they're the only things that matter. I disagree with the 2nd one to some extent as well.

How can you possibly disagree with the first one. The second one is logical, to do otherwise makes no sense. Kane sellers will understand

I don't disagree with the first one. The second one is logical but for example, if a player on form from a weaker team has hard fixtures coming up then I wouldn't be against transferring them out.

Hmm, this could apply to defenders perhaps. In which case you have a point. Might rephrase that rule to be more specific as to what I mean by 'form'. For instance Kane would be a bad player to transfer out right now

Like Pelle as someone mentioned. I think the basic principal of the rule is correct. I agree though that for more obscure and less reliable players it shouldn't really apply

Interesting to see the transfer stats this week - Aguero 60k out even though City are at home to Newcastle?

Boneheads transferring for Costa I'd imagine.

Hmm. I will be praying Costa doesn't get a big haul this week. Bench please Mr Mourinho!

Why? The % ownership amongst serious players will be minute.

Who's buying an 11m striker who blanks next week?

Do I get rid of Remy this week even though I'm playing 3-5-2 with him on the bench or get rid of Wisdom with a doubt over Bellerin which might mean Haidara faces City? I have 2FT but want to save 1 & also have doubts about Wally's game time

If you have 2 ft, use 1. It doesn't go to 3 for next week

Best replacement for wisdom (around same price)? Already have pva and Hutton. Horrible defence I know...

    Outlandish prediction time.

Danny Graham top points scorer this GW.

    Should get at least a hat-trick. I'm thinking he'll score 5!

Schwarzer assist, clean sheet, penalty save and 12 saves.

I'm bad at math. Does that beat a forward scoring 5 goals?

          No, stick with Graham captain.

My prediction is based on Graham starting. If he doesn't start, then it's null and void.

I'm holding you to your Schwarzer prediction, though!

Hazard to score a hat trick of goals with his arse.

        Kenny Dalglish (c) then!

How many of you actually own Costa? Seems a bit short sighted.

    Captain question with a difference:

If my nearest rivals don't have Aguero, should I captain a player we both have, instead? Like Hazard?

I am top but not by much.

    Thanks
