This evening, we roll out the third round draws of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup XI, as sponsored by Paddy Power, as well as the fifth Fantasy Football Scout Members Cup.

Jonty (that’s me) is the only former champion to remain in the Fantasy Football Scout Cup XI, after MCH and Donnellyc were despatched by Jonny and I Just Did A Torres respectively. Pekka is tasked with taking on the competition’s last remaining champion in round three.

Mark also cruised through and faces Givetngog in the third round, as did Paul, who is matched up with wilshire89 in the third round.

Other notable round two survivors are John Terry’s Dog, who has a respectable overall rank of 46,969, but faces a tough task getting past his round three opponent Mjfdept, who is 148th overall.

The highest ranked manager left in the competition is 51st placed Woy of the Wovers, who takes on 418th ranked jjesus in round three. The second highest ranked remaining manager in the Fantasy Football Scout Cup XI is 54th placed JariL. He doesn’t have it easy either, as he now squares up to 93rd placed ColMc.

Meanwhile, in the the fifth Fantasy Football Scout Members Cup all former champions have now been ousted, after Trigg was defeated by Pdes, who now faces Dr Rabotnicki.

Among round three’s other eye-catching ties are MCH’s encounter with Ludo and Ryan’s match with RED5.

John Terry’s Dog faces another tricky tie, after drawing the Members Cup’s highest ranked remaining manager, 28th placed Anonymous.

The full draw for the Fantasy Football Scout Cup XI can be found here while the draw for the Members Scout V can be found here.

Good luck to those involved in the weekend’s action. In the meantime, though, if you’re looking for more information on the Scout Cup schedule and prizes available, click this link for a more thorough rundown.

Austin unlikely to score away to WBA right?

So anyone viewing captaincy as Hazard (STOKE) vs Austin (villa) + 2?
If both blank too, then hazard would get 6 (cs included) vs 8 for austin.

Surely Hazard looks like a brilliant pick. but there's always the risk he'll score vs WBA and then it could backfire massively.

Don't have Benteke, so don't have to consider that one. Maybe a slightly better pick than austin, but again can't see any points away to united.

yes i have room to sell a player who wont play that GW and fill 11. as long as i sell a player who already isnt playing it.

        1. Pasqualinho
          • 16 Years

So your getting Sinclair just for the double? maybe - but with Man Utd away being one of the games I'm not sure how lucrative a move it is. Plus I think it's only worth bringing a Phillips or Sinclair in if it's in your 5th mid spot.

yeah i plan to sell austin to costa and sanchez/sinclair to fabregas (i know he's not been scoring heavily but is a bit of a punt).

then for GW 33 one of hutton PVA or bellerin to fill my 11 that week

            11 years, 7 days ago

that is the other option yes, toby for bellerin this week.

then could do hutton to ivan + austin to costa

am just getting tempted by the potential attacking points. as chelsea play arsenal away as one of the DGW, they may score?

yeah good chance of only 1 CS but Cesc isn't performing atm and given he's on 9 yellows he could be a dead option for the DGW if he gets booked GW32

I only have Toby and am starting him with Bertrand and Ivan (benching Baird and Dawson). I think SOTON while not have many clean sheets away from home, are still going to try to win or draw defensively, so this is a tough call.

Multiplying would be scoring in each game.
Add the % for each game.

OK, Austin is 11/5 to score against WBA so I assume he'll be around 2/1 to score anytime against Villa.

The combined odds (i.e. to score anytime in either game) are roughly 1/2.

The odds for him to score in both games are around 17/2.

If you want that in European odds:

            Score anytime v WBA: 3.20
Score anytime v Villa: 3.00 (estimated)

Score anytime in either game: 1.55
Score anytime in both games: 9.60

    Panti-Krul
Jones- Clyne - Terry - Hutton - PVA
    Hazard - Eriksen - Sigurdsson - Boyd - Mane
    Aguero - Kane - Austin

    1FT and 6.7 itb.

    Should I save?

Yes I would save. Don't think anything major needs doing there.

You are lucky you got within the top 50K, from there on the description often references the manager's 'very bubbly personality'.

Really unsure what to do with my team at all! Could anyone give me a hand?

    Panti Mannone
    Terry Kosc Clyne Dawson Naughton
    Hazard Silva Eriksen Mane Cork
    Giroud Kane Aguero

1FT and 3.4 mill in the bank.

    Maybe Mannone -> Davis?

All dependent on the form after the next two weeks. And how Costa is doing as well.
