The injuries were kept to a relative minimum over the weekend’s action as we cast an eye over the latest batch of recruits to climb onto this Sunday’s Treatment Table.

Chelsea
Ramires was initially named in the Chelsea starting line-up to face Palace this afternoon but withdrew prior to kick-off due to illness. Jose Mourinho revealed post-match:

“Ramires went to the hospital. He was feeling so bad that we decided to take him out of the dressing room and take him to hospital. I’m going to visit him now. Maybe he’s not there anymore, but he was feeling really bad, really ill.”

Manchester City
Jesus Navas missed this afternoon’s trip to Tottenham with a tight hamstring, according to the local press. City’s problems on the flanks mounted after Samir Nasri lasted just three minutes as a substitute before suffering a recurrence of a groin problem.

Newcastle
Paul Dummett is an early doubt for the Magpies’ clash with West Brom after sustaining a hamstring problem during Saturday’s loss at Leicester.

QPR
Steven Caulker was subbed off at the break in the R’s loss at Liverpool due to a suspected broken hand.

Southampton
Sadio Mane was forced off during the Saints’ loss at Sunderland after failing to recover from a challenge from Lee Cattermole.

Swansea
Nelson Oliveira was replaced in the first-half of the Swans’ win over Stoke due to an ankle injury. Garry Monk conceded the forward – who has been playing with the problem for a fortnight – is set to be assessed:

“He’s had it for a couple of weeks that ankle injury. Under the challenge, it was a heavy challenge on him, he rolled his ankle and it was enough to come off. There was swelling, so it’s one of them that we’ll have to assess in 48 hours’ time. Hopefully the swelling goes down and he’s available for next week, but won’t really know until probably Tuesday.”

Sunderland
The Black Cats’ skipper John O’Shea was forced off with a rib injury and concussion in the 2-1 win over Southampton.

West Brom
James Morrison missed the Baggies’ win over United due to injury, according to post-match reports.

    How bad is the west ham defense? They have two clean sheets in a row now, and with benteke facing Southampton at home gw37, I won't want him then, so I'm relying on West Ham keeping a third clean sheet this week. Chances?

      Agree. Southampton have let in 2 goals in each of their last 3 games. West Ham were lucky not to concede this wkend and Villa's last game is home to Burnley who will almost definitely be down. I can See Tekkers out scoring Giroud over the last 3 gw's, even with Arsenals double. Good luck!

    Bottomed out....

    Currently sat in 18 OR and looking for differentials to No.1. With this in mind, which of these routes would you go for?

    (A)
    GW36: Sterling -> Ozil
    GW37: Silva -> Sanchez

    (B)
    GW36: Sterling, Skrtel & Kane -> Kos, Ozil & Benteke (8 points)
    GW37: Schlupp -> Vergini

    (A) clearly looks way more sensible, but I have minimal differentials to No.1 right now, so feel like I need to do something drastic to have any chance (which I acknowledge is remote). (B) should give me these differentials plus an extra DGWer (triple SUN defence could be huge if it comes off), however it does cost me 8 points.

    Cheers!

    Schmeichel
    Terry, PVA, Schlupp
    Haz, Silva, Sterling, Cout
    Aguero, Giroud, Kane

    Panti, Skrtel, Baird, Albrighton
    Bank 2.5m, 1FT

        67 points to make up though, and I expect he will get Sanchez and keep Kane, meaning we would likely have the same front 7 (bar Coutinho). Thinking I will have zero chance of making that up unless I roll the dice.

      Benteke will be very popular with the players above you so you'll have to go more obscure. Someone like Lukaku or Pelle could score big in the next two games since they have nice fixtures.

        That's a good point. Just a little concerned with the desire for SOT and EVE players - nothing much to play for. Lukaku being on pens could be worth a gamble I guess.

            Lukaku(c) this week or something equally crazy. Monreal over Koscielny for example could gain you a few more points. Rooney or RVP for Aguero in the last week is something I'm considering for the last week of the season.

              Yeah, my captain has to be differential every week now for sure.

              Lukaku could be a great shout, just not sure EVE score enough.

              I'm quite tempted with Kolarov(c) - QPR are woeful away so can see this one being a big score, and he's looked good in recent weeks. Doubt anyone else will even have him in their team let alone captain him.

                Cazorla could be a good shout for the DGW. Everyone else will be going for Ramsey, Ozil and Sanchez. He's on penalties so he could definitely score a few goals.

                  Yeah, I doubt anyone will get Santi actually.

                  Top spot will surely go with Sanchez, Giroud and one of Ramsey/Ozil/Kos.

            I don't think you can gain that many points in defence over the people above you. It'll need to be a midfielder/forward with high points potential.

              A super attacking defender on set pieces though? He pay even be on pens if Aguero is off the pitch. It'd be a huge gamble, but I think there is upside there.

                I wouldn't want to risk it on Kolarov though because it only takes one slip up in defence for your season to be over. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

      Seems very harsh on RVP, he looked quite sharp after being out so long and if anyone was going to get a goal in that game it was him. Myhill made plenty of good saves, including the penalty. If I had to pick one player to take penalties out that team it would still be him.

    Am I right in saying LVG has taken Van Persie and Shrek of penalty dutys ?

    Who do you think will be the man to take the job.

    Mata ? Herrera ? Fellaini ? DI Maria ? The Colombian ?

    Hi All,

    Some help badly needed. I plan to bring in Rambo and Giroud (and Ospina for a -4 hit) if necessary over the next two weeks but can't decide who to ditch.

    Myhill - Mignolet
    Terry - Toby - Dawson - Hutton - Naughton
    Silva -Haz - Eriksen - Sterling - Sinclair
    Kun - Kane - Tekkers

    0.4 ITB

    I think it's best to bring Rambo this week and Giroud (and possibly Ospina) next week. If I get rid of Eriksen or Sterling this week then I'll need to ditch Kun next week. Or I could get rid of Haz this week and Kane next week but that leaves me with 0.1 ITB which is risky if there are any price changes. Any thoughts?

      Do up a few combos that will actually work price wise,
      A,B,C type thing.
      You will find you get more responses this way as your question will have more clarity and posters will be able to logically answer, hope this helps.

    Benteke (WHU) or Aguero (QPR) for the armband.

    Villa are a team fighting to stay in it, and so are QPR. City don't really have anything to play for really, the was it just me, or did the team look quite average yesterday?

      I would go Benteke without hesitation if you want to risk big jumps in rank.

      wow, that's a statement

      City without Aguero are Spurrish at best. Wasn't you, but he's still Kun.

          From a (c) perspective yes,
          If he blanked and kun got a brace with his ownership it could be costly.
          But if it went the other way ...,,

      Pretty good with triple ups on Sunderland, Arsenal, ManCity (for QPR match) & in-form Villa

      Might do:
      Yoshida - > Vlaar
      Given -> Myhill

      Think Wickham's absence may be regrettable for DGW but those three strikers are the guys to have at the moment.

      All your eggs pretty much in 4 baskets except Wasilewski, Yoshida & Terry. Fun stuff.
