Mondogoal

Mondogoal – GW36 – The £30,000 Championship Countdown

There are still 26 Qualifying spots available in Mondogoal’s £30,000 World Championship as we build up to the big final day prize.

We’ve seen some new names make the list after recent Qualifying contests, with the likes of “gaztafari” and “StayVibin” earning their places in the final day contest with the chance to win the £10,000 top prize.

Meanwhile, seasoned Mondogoal veterans “taj2722” and “Tm370” have recently claimed their eighth and fourth spots in the contest, respectively. Elsewhere, “Doom”, “Bigo1” and “tomp1900” all lead the way with ten entries.

It’s not too late to claim your place – there are 26 slots remaining with another batch up for grabs in this weekend’s contests.

The £30,000 World Championship

How Does it Work?

To get involved, you need to win one of Mondogoal’s £30k qualifying contests. You can enter these for just £2.

How Do I Enter?

Mondogoal are running three more qualifying contests this weekend. You have until 12.35 on Saturday to select your line-up for either the £2, £10 or £50 contests.

If you’re consistent with your picks you may even be able to progress with more than one team – you can have up to ten entries in the Championship final come May.

Don’t forget, you can enter multiple contests with the same Mondogoal line-up with the click of a button.

Having multiple teams will obviously increase your outlay but, with the ability to block out defences, you’ll certainly be increasing your chances of hitting a big score.

Once you’ve created your squad for one contest, go to your list of entries, click on a contest and then click “Enter This Line-up in Other Contests”.

If you’re new to Mondogoal and want the inside skinny, be sure to check out our strategy guide here, and our interview with top Mondogoal manager, ChrisDAFC here.

FF Scout Gameweek 36 Picks

mg

With concerns over Chelsea’s level of motivation and teamsheet, we’ve made the bold decision to overlook their assets and, in particular, Eden Hazard.

Not surprisingly, that liberated plenty of funds to invest elsewhere and we’ve spent the bulk of it up front. Sergio Aguero is a shoo-in, given his current run of form, while Olivier Giroud offers us cover of Arsenal’s vibrant attack ahead of their Monday night meeting with Swansea. Romelu Lukaku is our gamble here – we’ve overlooked Christian Benteke in favour of his Everton compatriot as our differential. Everton have won their last four Goodison match-ups and Lukaku’s lively showing at Villa Park last time out is enough for us to back him against a Sunderland side desperate for victories.

The big spend in attack left us light in the middle of our 3-4-3 setup but, in fairness, the pool of talent looks rather limited this week. We were comfortable shopping in the mid-price bracket, drafting in form guys such as Stoke’s Charlie Adam and Leicester wide man Marc Albrighton. David Silva offers us some heavy-hitter assurance, while Jack Grealish gets the nod to compensate for our decision to overlook Benteke against West Ham.

Clean sheets are hard to call at this stage in the season, so we’ve opted to turn to Grealish’s team-mate, Leonardo Bacuna, to offer us some attacking impetus from Tim Sherwood’s cavalier Villa side. Hector Bellerin and Martin Demichellis were the cheapest assured routes into the Arsenal and City defences, respectively. Similarly, we’ve backed the Everton defence via Tim Howard in nets at just 6.0 million: the Toffees have kept four consecutive home clean sheets going into their meeting with the Black Cats.

A reminder that Everton’s encounter with Sunderland is Saturday’s early kick-off and we’ll be able to tweak our Mondogoal XI’s right up until 12.35.

I said pre-Ramsey injury that I was going for Ozil over him, Ozil and Caz have the better stats, and Ramsey is always liable to pick up an injury again in/before the double.

                Precisely. Over the last 6.
Cazorla has 3 assists and no goals.
Ozil has 1 goal and no assists.

Don't be so blinded by the DGW that you forget about this week's points. That's what I did last week - was set on Fabregas to Sanchez, was convinced that it was better to wait to assess Arsenal, and it cost me 12 points.

Arsenal plays West Brom in GW38 who already conceded 7 penalties this season. Swansea, Sunderland and ManU are equal or below the average. So I wouldn't count on penalties that much... Ofcourse this is very difficult to predict.

No, I could get Ozil for Sterling next week for free.

Some spare cash left over from Skrtel->Morgan & Cesc->Sanchez this week.

It don't sound good for Ramsey, he's not trained at all this week, that seals it for me, reckon Theo will get a game which instantly makes Ozil a decent option this week because if he's in he mood he will be putting through balls in for him all night.

Hello every one.... Iam now 2nd in my ml and I want to maintain dat position as my rivals are just 1 to2 pts behind me....

    My question is:

Whos better to have Giroud or Ramsey or some one else...?? Already have sanchez...

    Team:

    Myhill. Jaku.
    Lovren. Moreno. Bellerin. Alder. Bruce.
    Silva. Sanchez. Haz. Sterling. Boyd.
    Aguero. Kane. Vardy.

Have 2 fts and 0.4 in bnk....

    So this week:

    1) Sterling + Vardy >> Sunderland mid + Giroud (for double gw)

    Or

    2) Sterling >> Ramsey..

    ??

Worth getting in Silva for Sterling for a hit (have to do it via Skrtel -> Stones)?

Considering same move, but for Silva or Ozil.

Also considering this as I'm 0.1 off Sterling to Silva but was advised against it on here earlier

Would then change to Ramsey/Ozil/Caz next week

    Krul (Gilks)
Terry - Bèllerin - Bertrand - (van Aanholt) - (Baird)
    Hazard - Cazorla - Silva - Henderson - (Albrighton)
    Agüero - Giroud - Kane

Thinking about switching Giroud for Benteke. Any other glaring faults?

Any idea what to do with this team?

    2 FT's and 1.8 ITB.

    Mignolet | Myhill

    Azpi | Clyne | Rose | Schlupp | Naughton

    Haz | Silva | Sterling | Coutinho | Phillips

    Aguero | Kane | Vardy

Worried about Azpi and Haz because of resting players, both Liverpool midfielders and Vardy...

Start Azpi and Schlupp. Bring in Terry or an Arsenal def. Sterling to Carla
      Kane to Tekkers

      Sorted

You need an Arsenal midfielder/ Giroud.

Sub Sterling /Cout/ Phillips/ Vardy. Jose is not losing to Liverpool!
