This week’s episode of the ScoutCast certainly doesn’t lack “Kahunas” but it does go without my nasal tones.

Another bout of man-flu got the better of me this week but, rather than can the episode, I allowed the lunatics to take over the asylum and run this nonsense without me. Granville and Jonty rise to the occasion, ably abetted by this week’s star guest, Jack Wain – previously number two in the world and still part of the pack giving chase to former guest, Simon March.

Jack makes his appearance just as his gutsy gamble to ignore the sure-fire Sergio Aguero captaincy backfires. Granville and Jonty analyse his brave fall from grace, while quizzing our FPL luminary on the Gameweek 37 double and the great Eden Hazard dilemma, all courtesy of another round of questions from you, the community.

    If Arsenal beat United that is 3rd spot guaranteed. Sure 2nd would be nice but I think Wenger would prefer 3rd and he FA cup. All change for Sunderland!

    Giroud or not to Giroud?

    I've got a 24pt lead which isnt much when a DGW is on! Rival owns Giroud. I don't. We have 7 of the same players (Terry, PvA, Sanchez, Hazard, Ozil, Kun and Kane)

    Do I:

    a. Bring in Giroud which means a -4 hit (Vardy+Bertrand > Giroud+Vlaar) and cover him

    b. Ignore Giroud, hide behind the couch and don't take a hit with Bertrand > Kos for free

    Current team:

      In a similar position although bigger lead. I ended up going Koscielny for various reasons.

      Given the players you'd be taking out I'd be tempted more though. I was having to remove silva or hazard to do it.

        I wish I had a bigger lead, it has been nerve racking the last month or so.
        What were your reasons behind the Kos move?

        The only thing I'm worried about with bringing in Giroud is that it will be for a hit and hence reducing my lead and it will leave me with 0.0 in the bank for GW38.

        If I go Berty > Kos I'll have 2.4 in the bank to spend for GW38.

      Wouldn't be taking a hit just for the sake of covering an out of form striker, who isn't very explosive even when in form. Berty -> Kosc mate.

        Well this is the other side of the sword, taking a hit for a striker not in form, though he has two games to shine.

        My damn rival has been lucky with Autosubs and blitzed the QPR DGW with an Austin captain punt so I know the sting of DGWs lol.

        I'm really in two minds and feel like the way I will go will be the wrong way eek

          I think you should just play your own game here and choose what you think you would do without considering your rival too much. I can see Vardy getting a haul in GW38 (QPR), while Leicester are no City, QPR are really awful away.

            Ah yes, I forgot to mention the whole Vardy thing, I want to have him in GW38 against QPR so it is a bit sour to drop him. Especially as he is a differential against my rival.

      Don't know exactly when Arsenal were safe for champions league but they had an FA Cup to worry about.

      Ramsey, Cazorla and Monreal only played one. Although Monreal has had a far better season this year. Even the goalkeepers were rotated

        I think Caz is more likely to play 2 this season than Ozil. Last season he was quite poor but really stepped up again. Him being more of a utility (can play pretty much anywhere in midfield comfortably) compared to Ozil only really effective centrally behind the striker is my thinking behind this.

      This dgw is a massive headache for me to transfer in Arsenal's attackers. First, i tried to look into stats to find who has the most potential for points. Now its just who would start all three remaining games.
