      H&H all day long for me given that Hazard is likely to score bigger than Fab and Henderson is a nailed on starter for Liverpool, Sterling might get rotated a fair bit

        Thanks for your comment. I plan to start off with Hazard and Sterling and my 'Aguero plan' to upgrade my forwards is either Hazard -> Fab or Sterling -> Henderson. I might even just start with Henderson given the logic you mention, but I just have such a strong feeling Sterling is going to have an explosive season playing with the likes of Aguero, Silva and Yaya. Don't we remember him with Suarez and Sturridge?

    Morning everyone, I feel this team is just about there now for the start of the season but just looking for some opinions on potential changes.

    2mil in the bank.

    I can spend that 2 million either upgrading Walcott to Sanchez or downgrading Benteke to Pelle and then Rooney up to Aguero. Any thoughts?

    Morning all!

    Please rate my team. I have looked at the rotational pairings (& triplings!) and incorporated this around key players.

    I am currently wary of the pairing of Azpilicueta & Kosielny as well as the starting status of the budget defender?!

    I've also taken a punt with Walcott relying on the fact Arsenal continue to be tight and don't sign a decent striker.

    Lastly, I am aware of the need to factor in Kun and potentially Costa when they're fit!

      Defence looks good. Since you have Cech, I wouldn't double up on Arsenal in defence. So either keep Cech & Clyne or swap Cech and bring in Bellerin. I've gone for the latter (Bellerin and Stek) but only because I trust Southampton's and Arsenal's defence more than L'pools, but Clyne is great going forward. I'm not sure about your bench- do they rotate well.

      I don't think you should start with Sanchez as he isn't likely to play from the start of the season. May be eased in gradually

      Not sure Rodriguez is a great pick while he finds his match fitneess. Kolarov is a risk with Clichy too

        I see your point, but Rodriguez has at least played really well in pre season, but I may change him.

        Kolarov played a lot at the end of last season, and he did really well scoring a couple of freekicks and so as Clichy didn´t really impress that much. He is also easy to replace concidering his 5.5 mill pricetag. Also I like having a player from Man City and Silva/Sterling/Zabaleta is a bit expencive for me.

      Hi it would be great if somebody could rate my team, i've given a little bit of an explanation of my thought process.

      Ruddy (Bertrand)
      Azpil Kos Francis (O'shea Jenkinson)
      Hazard Walcott Sterling Ritchie King
      Rooney Pelle (Sakho)

      I'm happy with my defence having BOU/WHAM gives a great rotation and having SUN also covers me in GW2 where Chelsea go to City so could play O'Shea Jenkinson. Although I have my doubts about O'Shea as a player.

      I was thinking of taking Lukaku first week and subbing out for Pelle, but if someone gets injured I'm then left with Lukaku with a bad run of games where Pelle should return more during those game weeks.

      My week 2 isn't the best week and i'm not sure who i will hand the captaincy to... Sakho/Rooney?

      I am a bit unstuck as how to get Aguero in game week 4 - I thought taking out Rooney and Sterling, but i'm left with just 6.5. and I can't see myself having 3 free subs by game week 4 to find an extra .5 to get Henderson/Chadli/Milner. One thought was to downgrade O'Shea to a 4.0 defender, but I like having the choice of another team to rotate and dislike having non playing players. If I had 3 subs I can downgrade Kos to Merts/Kolorov and take a 7.0 in mid for Sterling.

        I would downgrade Hazard to Fabregas. Hazard doesn't seem super sharp. The play against Barca ... if you look again at it ... it was horrendous defending from CB and would not happen in a real game. I would not be surprised if he let him through to entertain Americans.

        Hazard last year had a slow start, while Fabregas the opposite (had strong first halves in Barca too). Then you have 2.5 mil to fund Aguero and you don't lose your no.1 captaincy option. (I'm starting with Fabregas right away. Im fearing price drop from Hazard as his ownership is ridiculous atm.

        I'm also fearing that Azpi will have rotation issues, with subpar cup performance and frequent rumours about Chelski signing a new LB.

          Hazard has been a yoyo for me, but I finally came to the conclusion that I didn't have the balls to drop him. Fair play to you though. I see your point with azpil he was locked in before I saw him at the weekend, I might look at the possibility of dropping him for a 5.5, this would also give me the extra 0.5 to get aguero gw4. I like kolorov, but the fixtures aren't great and they've not looked great at the back.

        I think that your team is solid, although i would swap o'shea for coates personally. also i believe you are trying to plan things a bit too much, wait and se what happens in the season and who is doing well. also i would keep pelle over lukaku

          Thanks I'll take a look at Coates as I'm a little embaressed to have oshea in my team. I'll stick with pelle as like you say just needs to see what happens, although I am still trying to make sure I don't have to blow my wildcard week4 to get aguero 🙂

    RMT please: would appreciate any comments -

    GK: Schmeichel/Buttland
    Def: Koscielny, Cedric, Ivanovic, Huth, 4.0
    Mid: Wallcott (c - week1), Fabregas, Ozil, Ritchie, Wanyama (but thinking of getting another 4.5 due to risk of price drop)
    Fwd: Benteke, Rooney, Pele (expecting early bandwagon as he might score a few with good fixtures, would use the time to scout other emerging strikers in the meantime)
    0.5m in the bank

    The game plan is to take Ivanovic out after week one for an emerging bandwagon cheap defender as Chelski schedule after is rough and I think he can do great week 1.
    Week 2, I would probs get Sterling in over Wallcott if he doesn't work out or save transfer.
    Week 3, would take Aguero for week 4 for Rooney as I would have extra $ from Ivanovic transfer.
    Of course time will tell and plans can change. 🙂

    Hey,

    First year doing FPL (since the years of picking Dion Dublin at Coventry), happy with team, just can't call on Walcott or Sanchez - trying to avoid two attackers from Arsenal, sitting with Walcott and keeping 3m in bank for when Sanchez is fit - is this best move or have him now or just have both?

      my midfield : Hazard-Walcott-Wanyama-Ibe and Øzil/depay

      i also got 2 mill in the bank(was saving this up for aguero to GW 4, but i can also use them to get someone else. but whats you guys thoughts about it??

        I would personally take Özil out of the two. He is settled, playing every week as long as he is fit for Arsenal who has a really strong attack this season and he will get a lot of assist and a few goals. Depay on the other hand is a really promising young player who might do really well, but might struggle setteling in a new country, new league etc. and therefore may need some time to adjust.

          Yeah ive thought about that too, but United seem promising as well, and depay have had a really good pre season, also im sticking With Walcott in my team and are thinking maybe depay will do that ive get the most of attacking Points for both United and arsenal..? really cant get my head around it!

            I had a lot of faith in Walcott at the beginning, but after doing basicly nothing against Chelsea before being subbed for Giroud made me second guess it. He will be playing striker, but i think maybe Giroud will be starting at the weekend and Walcott will be subbed on after 60-70 minutes or vica versa. I don´t really think Walcott will play more than 70 mins tbh.

            I would go with Özil and Cazorla or Ramsey, Depay is too much of a risk in my opinion.

            But of course, this is my opinion, you do what you want 😉

      I think Bellerin is a good shout as well, Arsene's first choice by the looks of it, Arsenal now finally has a really good keeper and will get more clean sheets and Bellerin might get a couple of assists and goals.

    1. Pelle or Rodriguez is the main dilemma here, they have both scored the same amount of goals in preseason, although Rodriguez is back from an injury but is 1 mil cheaper.
    2. Will Cedric Start?
    3. Creswell or Rose, both have good run ins after GW1

    Weakest Links- Wisdom, the whole midfield seems like a bit of a gamble, Jrod?

    Hey everyone, new member and first RMT

    Hazard Sterling Walcott Mane + 4.5 (fletcher?)
    Rooney Wilson Benteke

    Like my coverage of the big teams, but concerned about kane or not to kane. I will WC GW 4, but have ways to get Aguero in without it.

    Big question is Benteke+Sterling+Weaker D OR Kane + Hendo + better 4.5 rotational D.

    Set on Hazard, Rooney for ownership. Mane over Pelle for SOU coverage. Wilson for punt. Everything else is up in the air. Finding this the most interesting year yet! Preseason all over, weird fixtures and ownership don't help!
