I think Deeney, as he was the focal point of Watford's attacks, they looked good going forwards and is their skipper and probs on pens too. Can't bring myself to have too many mackems so gonna pass on Defoe!

Had a disaster (30 points), thinking on WCing already. Any thoughts, here's my 'team':

      Shmikes/Schwarzer

      Coates/Francis/Bellerin/Cedric/S Taylor

      Ozil/Depay/Mane/Ritchie/Hazard

      Rooney/Kane/Bojan

Have already switched Depay > Ayew.

As I say, strongly thinking on WCing. Thoughts?

As things stand, would you ditch Walcott or Ozil if you wanted to transfer Payet in? Leaning towards Walcott as he's not as nailed it would seem and frees up 0.5 extra.

I watched the game, he was good going forwards but Southampton's crosses for both of their goals came from his side of the pitch. He definitely could have done better to stop one of them, but I wouldn't say the goals were all his fault. Obertan and one of our DMs could've done more and so could Mbemba.

If West Ham sign Song it will be a few weeks before he is fit apparently. Reece Oxford is 4.0 defender and was played out of position today! He is staying in my squad as Reid and Tomkins are injury prone, and Oxford will surely get run in team after today.

Needs to be a 6.5 mid to make room for Aguero so

Not sure. I think he'll start, but even so Sanchez looks a far better option. Might get him in quickly, he seems a key player next week. Thinking: Walcott/Fabregas ➡ Sanchez/Ayew (-4).

Tekkers, Rooney, Kane, Caz, Mert haven't shown enough to warrant signing them.

Yea can see why you'd want to play them

I just try to play attacking players as much as possible. I have Wilson and will play him. Best example is when Kane did Chelsea, I didn't bench because I just though he's a forward and is there to score goals and can score against anyone. Doing same with Wilson until it comes apparent that he's / BOU are really struggling

Henderson + Milner looked solid if unspectacular, Benteke marked out of the game by Stoke effectively.

Firmino could be the one to watch for Liverpool coverage imo.

All below expected performances, but for the first game away from home you can't expect them to commit so much to attacking against a side like Stoke who can punish you with Diouf's pace (and he got a hat-trick against them last season).

Of the 3, I was most impressed by Milner. He created one great chance that Henderson should have done better with and seemed to cover the most grass in trying to open Stoke's defence. Benteke was very isolated hence the 'anonymous' tag. If this doesn't change at home next week, I think I'll be transferring my Liverpool attackers out.
