I wonder what % players have already used their Bench Boost Chip?

Wenger obviously used his already, but it didn't quite work out.

    Greetings deadzone.

Pretty much average gameweek. Thoughts on where to improve?

    Ruddy
    Azpilicueta / Coates / Cedric
    Hazard / Ramsey / Ozil / Sterling
    Rooney / Pelle / Wilson

    Rudd / Wanyama / Bellerin / Huth

Saving my transfer this week for sure but here's some that I definitely want to get in soon - Silva, Lescott, Cabaye/Bolasie, Darmian.

Only Silva was influenced by gw1. I've wanted the others regardless - just a question of getting them at the right time.

I have Lescott but i want Ayew. Yaya or Silva only if KDB doesn't sign.

      1. Davido989
        • 15 Years

Wouldn't KDB take up a wide right position? Sterling is best on the left, Silva central.

        1. Frank Black
          • 13 Years

No KDB would definitely play as a 10 in the hole with Silva on the right. But they would definitely switch between each other, they're not static players.

so let's say I sell Fabregas (would leave me no Chelsea), would it be best to get Payet or Chadli? Since I have Sakho, I'm thinking certainly the latter given their fixtures (and I don't have Kane)

Both great options. WHM have great home fixtures and tough away. Spurs have a good run of fixtures in general. Chadli was playing very advanced and probably more of a goalscorer. You have Sakho so I'd go Chadders

I see your point..but I think that's the fault in our system of trying to play out from the back without a defensive midfielder covering. Our keeper can't use his feet, nor can Skrtel. And we don't have midfielders who drop deep to pass the ball to so it all looks sloppy and nervy.

Watch a few France games if you have time. Lloris with Varane-Sakho in front. Matuidi protecting them. Kondogbia dropping deep if needs be. Then you realise how good Sakho is as a defender and as a ball playing CB.

Rodgers is happy to put his faith in players, regardless of age, plus there are rumours that he isn't a big fan of Moreno. Gomez isn't a nailed-on cert like Clyne, but a very good punt.

It's hard to let him go, but it just fits. The only other mid I'm considering is Walcott. I was gonna drop him for Sanchez at one point or another anyways.

Also considering this... Might sacrifice Ozil instead pending their performances this weekend

With Sanchez and Aguero now both being fit, it's making me twitch and hit the wc button. This is what my team would look like:

      McCarthy (Hennessey)
      Darmian, Toby, Gomez (Huth, Oxford)
      Hazard, Sanchez, Mane, Mahrez (Westwood)
      Aguero, Benteke, Sakho

I would've had to get Aguero and Sanchez gw3 and 4 respectively, and I wouldn't be able to afford that team once price rises happens. The core of the team didn't change much, only new additions are Darmian, Sanchez, Mahrez, Oxford, Westwood and Aguero. Mahrez might be a knee jerk, but Darmian, Sancez and Aguero are all for the long run. What do you think? Is it madness I'm even considering my WC?

Rambo had a bad game but looked selfish, which I like FPL wise. With Sanchez and Walcott probably starting next GW I´d be concerned with the Ox

With Bench Boost, I've been wondering how will we use the top 10k stats from fpldiscovery?

I genuinely think yes. Last season I started awfully, then stabalised around 200k, where I've finished most seasons. Then I bought half season membership and ended around 35k. The stats and such are majorly useful.

Very worthwhile especially if you like stats. Plenty of members tables & other things to tell you who should score points soon.

If you enjoy and understand the stats side of the game, definitely yes. FFS provides a substantial amount of data to mine.

I can't say I've used the tools much, but I will explore them a bit as the season goes on. Mostly I just thought it'd be nice to contribute and support the site as it's clear it must all take a fair bit of work.

There's not much data around at the moment which is why I haven't delved too deep. I like to use my eyes to begin with

Hey folks, would really appreciate some help here. Putting together a montage of audio to tee up a fantasy item on radio. Any suggestions of what audio would work? Have goal commentary from the likes of Morten Gamst Pedersen and Yakubu. Any more cult heroes like that would also be appreciated, if you could jog my memory.

Serious question: Am I better off playing Sterling against Chelsea or Adam Johnson against Norwich? Need Kun funds and Sterling looks bad.

(Johnson can be replaced by any midfielder up to 6.0 with good fixtures. Suggestions welcome)
