Gameweek 2 gets us up and running earlier than usual tonight, as Villa welcome United to the midlands.

Both sides opened their seasons with 1-0 wins and Tim Sherwood will be seeking home improvements, having managed just one home clean sheet at Villa Park since taking the helm. Captain Poll favourite Wayne Rooney, meanwhile, looks to improve upon a record that saw him score just once outside of Old Trafford in 2014/15.

United roll up to Villa Park for their first away game of the season having struck just 21 goals in their 19 road trips under Louis van Gaal last term, registering a shot on goal every 8 minutes. They’ll be up against a Villa rearguard that kept just four clean sheets in front of their own fans last term, shipping 25 goals – only Crystal Palace kept fewer shutouts than the midlanders.

Having failed to ignite against Spurs, Van Gaal will look to his attacking players to perform tonight, providing a test to Sherwood’s rearguard following their opening day success at Bournemouth.

Genuinely may have to double up with Smalling on top of my Darmian. Those bps scores are insane.

Memphis has played so well. He's going to do great things this season. Getting into great positions, lots of shots and is United's furthest player forward

Based on this game, Mata should be first attacking player on team sheet. Rooney has been awful. Depay slightly unlucky but showing glimpses. Shaw, Darmian and Herrera good as well.

Hate owning Rooney, because I expected him to be about this bad.

He is on the downslope of his career. Maybe faster than RVP.

Still, he kept the Aguero money safe I suppose.

Depay seems to be eager to impress.Trying too hard at times. But at least he is trying unlike Rooney. I'd rather give him one more week against Newcastle rather than Rooney.

Everytime Depay gets the ball they show a picture of his former manager laughing.
