Gameweek 2 gets us up and running earlier than usual tonight, as Villa welcome United to the midlands.

Both sides opened their seasons with 1-0 wins and Tim Sherwood will be seeking home improvements, having managed just one home clean sheet at Villa Park since taking the helm. Captain Poll favourite Wayne Rooney, meanwhile, looks to improve upon a record that saw him score just once outside of Old Trafford in 2014/15.

United roll up to Villa Park for their first away game of the season having struck just 21 goals in their 19 road trips under Louis van Gaal last term, registering a shot on goal every 8 minutes. They’ll be up against a Villa rearguard that kept just four clean sheets in front of their own fans last term, shipping 25 goals – only Crystal Palace kept fewer shutouts than the midlanders.

Having failed to ignite against Spurs, Van Gaal will look to his attacking players to perform tonight, providing a test to Sherwood’s rearguard following their opening day success at Bournemouth.

If you lose 0.1 in value at this stage of the season you might as well be losing 0.5 because pretty much everybody's prices are .0 or .5. FARRR more significant than losing a FT.

            I disagree.

He wouldn't get dropped after that.

Would you then transfer him back in if he scores 2 in GW3?

I know it's an extreme example, but it's digging a potential hole over 0.1 mill. And I'm not buying the "it's 0.5 this earlier in the season" excuse.

I don't see how you don't buy it. Most people will have to downgrade their midfield to fund Aguero and at this stage you can either exactly afford it or you can't, hence 0.1 = 0.5.

There's a much bigger risk selling tonight over losing 0.1 million. There really is.

Even if you downgrade Monday after he flops again, there's plenty of miss at various prices to enable Rooney to Aguero still.

            Risk outweighs reward.

Only if some 10% of his owners sell him, but they have Newcastle next. Only if Kun scores a brace, we could see Rooney being sold for him.
