Gameweek 2 gets us up and running earlier than usual tonight, as Villa welcome United to the midlands.

Both sides opened their seasons with 1-0 wins and Tim Sherwood will be seeking home improvements, having managed just one home clean sheet at Villa Park since taking the helm. Captain Poll favourite Wayne Rooney, meanwhile, looks to improve upon a record that saw him score just once outside of Old Trafford in 2014/15.

United roll up to Villa Park for their first away game of the season having struck just 21 goals in their 19 road trips under Louis van Gaal last term, registering a shot on goal every 8 minutes. They’ll be up against a Villa rearguard that kept just four clean sheets in front of their own fans last term, shipping 25 goals – only Crystal Palace kept fewer shutouts than the midlanders.

Having failed to ignite against Spurs, Van Gaal will look to his attacking players to perform tonight, providing a test to Sherwood’s rearguard following their opening day success at Bournemouth.

      Some people don't understand how United play football and how it's affecting service to the striker. United are no longer passing first time balls in the box for Rooney to run onto, what do people expect. This is not SAF's United when they played counter attack football the system has totally changed. RVP crap last season and now Rooney crap this season, more than a coincidence but that would require some thought 😉

        Defence is weak. I'd swap out Mata and and Westwood or Affelay for two mid priced midfielders for more balance such as Wijnaldum, Chadli, Payet or Ayew.
