With mid-price assets continuing to deliver, Sunday’s fare finds three of the genuine title contenders in action, allowing us to assess the form of a series of heavy-hitters.

Arsenal get things underway with their visit to Palace and that’s followed by the titanic clash as Man City host Chelsea at the Etihad.

The Gunners arrive in South London off the back of a shock 2-0 reverse to West Ham. They can, however, take comfort from the fact that they are unbeaten in twelve matches at Selhurst Park but will be wary of a Palace side that boasts an array of weapons at their disposal. Alan Pardew’s Eagles enjoyed an impressive away win at the Norwich on the opening day and will be looking to build on that by improving home performances – they have lost half of their 10 home games under Pardew’s reign. The Gunners, meanwhile, turn up having won five of their last six away trips.

The tea-time encounter is, on paper, a classic. Chelsea go into the match still licking wounds from an opening day roughing-up by an impressive Swansea and will be without Thibaut Courtois as a result of his second-half red card in that 2-2 draw. City’s preparations could not have been better – they strolled to a 3-0 win at West Brom on Monday night and, arguably, were the most impressive side on show in Gameweek 1 with David Silva, in particular, dazzling in midfield.

Mourinho will be wary of City’s confidence and is expected to settle on the back foot in a bid to catch City on the break with pace – he can take confidence from the fact that his side are unbeaten in their last four against Manuel Pellegrini’s side. On the flipside, the Chilean will point to a recent home record which states seven straight wins, delivering six clean sheets.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Keeping him on WC. Their fixtures are not poor and he's Hazard. He could have easily had a goal and assist here today.

Who to oust to bring Kun

    a)Roo (leaves me 1m ITB)
    b)Kane (0 ITB)

I have exactly the same conundrum. Selling Roo leaves me funds for Cedric>Darmian which I had in mind to do first but I guess now Aguero will rise if you don't do it this week..?

1 FT left, and 2.4m itb. Want to bring Aguero in, but 0.1 short? Would you take a 4 point hit to get Aguero in now and if so, what would you do?

If not a 4 point hit, what would you do with the FT to make enough to bring Augero in GW4?

    Schemichel, Fabianski
    Shaw, Huth, Francis, Cedric, Kaboul
    Hazard, Fletcher, Depay, Ozil, Henderson
    Gomis, Rooney, Sakho

    Thank you 🙂

Not football related, but isn't it ridiculous that "Baa baa black sheep" has been labelled politically incorrect and is no longer allowed to be taught at schools, and has been replaced with "baa baa rainbow sheep"?

Do people making these decisions understand where Ring a Ring o' Roses and Eeny meeny, miny, mo originate from?

No, but a United defender may be. Smalling is immense but the fallbacks will get returns throughout the year.

I didn't make a transfer last week and thus have 2 available this week but now it seems as though I am going to use my wildcard. Do the two free transfers carry over until gameweek 4, the week after I use my wildcard?

Costa is blown. Chelsea need either Ibrahiovich to lead the line or Ronaldo. It ain't gonna happen. We're seeing the decline of Mourning. And I love the man and how he does what he does.

The max I would do is a -4 for Kun if u can. Anything more then it has to be a WC

Wildcarded. Unless you're 100% happy with your team aside from Aguero, I'd suggest doing the same.

My feel is that if you're looking at anything worse than a -8 you may as well take the opportunity to restructure other areas of the team (as necessary). Playing around with a potential wildcard I've made 4 more changes than I expected too!

Delay the wildcard to see who are the best options from each team
But play the wildcard now to have a better team and save the points
