The Dugout Discussion – Sunday

There are a pair of 4pm kick-offs for our Sunday afternoon assessment, as Everton host Manchester City, while Watford search for their first win against an out-of-sorts Southampton outfit.

The Toffees punished Saints’ new look defence last weekend, ranking joint-second for big chances (three) behind Stoke City (five). The Merseysiders placed fourth for home clean sheets (eight) in the previous campaign but face a tall task trying to pacify Man City’s effervescent attack, considering they put three past Chelsea’s experienced back line.

Saints boss Ronald Koeman will be looking for a big response from his players at Vicarage Road, having watched them ship five goals in their opening two league clashes. No side has conceded more goal attempts from set pieces (eight) than Southampton this season and it will be interesting to see if Quique Flores’ side can look to exploit that apparent weakness.

I've managed to avoid Aguero so far, hoping it stays 0-0 as I've got Kompany and Hart.. Most people in my league have either transferred in or wild carded Yaya/ Silver / Aguero.

Currently at 37 points for GW (Total at 162) with Benteke and Giroud to play tomorrow.

Will likely transfer out Kane, Hazard and Ritchie eventually. Get in Pedro, Mahrez and either Costa or Aguero

Aguero goal and a Cedric clean sheet.

Surely that's not too much to ask far at this point.

Poor start but after resisting the WC and being sensible with transfers this week has been a bit better. Lot riding on City today though.

Finally bit the bullet and brought Mahrez in last night so hopefully green from here on in

        You? 🙂

I took a break last season. Pathetic first team but subs been good.

Got Payet and Ayew in for a hit GW2. Both scored. Wildcarded after. Been decent. A lot riding on city.
