    For some reason making early transfers and taking hits this season(both of which i've never done over the past 5 seasons) seems so..... normal. Time to stop being complacent. No early transfers and no hits rule coming back on now.. 🙂

        The problem is that there are too many players to choose from.. every week one player somewhere makes your own seem obsolete. If we enter every GW thinking we can make a 0.1 profit/get 2 to 3 players in instead of saving a transfer/using just the FT then we'll just go insane

          I think that getting out of the mindset of needing the 'perfect' team for the gameweek is a real key to success. Identify the best long term picks, and stick with them.

            Yup.. this basically. That kind of thinking always gets you a good rank. This running around trying to replace every injured player/player with a dip in form etc just ends up destroying your team in the long term. I've got 8 good attackers.. so even if one gets injured i can get away with saving a transfer this week. That is what i'm gonna do.. hmph 🙂

      The price changes have been ridiculous so far, I normally wait until Fri/sat before making my transfers, every single week.

        Same here.. i am a dullard. i never make early transfers/ i stick with the players i buy for a min. of 3 to 4 weeks(/ the run i buy them for) before losing patience/no hits. But it's all gone out the window just 4 weeks into this season. Crazy.. Already thinking of Hazard to Pedro to save around 0.2 in total. It's crazy man. Crazy!

        Started of sane.. bought Shelvey and then Williams. Both at the end of the week.. followed the stats and ignored the bandwagons. And then i went a bit crazy last week and swapped Rooney/Sakho/Merte for Benteke/Wilson and Kolarov and it nearly worked 😆 .. Gonna slow down again now

    I'd strongly urge any members to look at Pedro's numbers for shots inside the box, chances created etc and double them (pro rata) and compare to everybody else.

          Do you know how many goals and assists those top four for touches in the box ended up with?...I do...

            Well those players have to have touches in the box to score goals/assists but I don't think just because a player has touches in the box means that they will get goals and assists, thinking of Players like Tadic, Ozil etc (Sanchez owner here)

    Wickham, Chamakh, Gayle, Murray, even Bamford are kinda meh

      Shame they played with 9 men today.. cant really come to any conclusions about him based on today and his first EPL game. I am considering him as my Chadli replacement GW 7(though the Palace boys top that list atm)

    Years before we started our teams with big hitter up front, and rely on rotation for Def!!

    This year, as it goes,we should be trying to fit big hitters from big teams (United, City and Arsenal are all looking good at the back) and rely on mid or budget attackers from smaller teams. (this comes from "mourinho effect" on big teams, defend well and you can win long term)
    Also we should avoid bench playing guys, and focus all on our 11 (except the bench boost), because rotating attack it's not working (wilson hatty and sakho last gasp).

    Smaller teams understand that attack is better than wating for something to happen, and go for it when play with equal teams because those matches are 6pointer!

    Anybody thinking d same??

    The Liverpool Echo was full of praise today, talking how Liverpool look "solid". Many articles on the solid defence, and also "Lovren's Resurgence".. And also how Anfield can become a fortress once more..

    We were God damn awful today!! If anyone hasn't seen Lovrens mistake to lead to the second goal, please watch it on Match of the day. Joe Gomez? He was Casper the ghost today. And Lucas Leiva, why play him at Home? He's a " Specialist" in those tight away games, like the Emirates last Monday.

    Liverpool were terrible.
