We (Finland) won Greece yesterday 1-0 yay! If I had knew we'd get 4 points of them, I'd thought we're on our way to the euros. Well 4 points we got, but we're not going through..

Day is the form player but McIlroy is the best player in the world on his day just struggling coming back from injury. Speith is class but is burnt out as it's been a long season.

Yeah, Mcilroy can blow anyone away if he gets going.

Really impressed with day though, been threatening for the last two years to become a top player and he seems to have found it.

I think the open lost really hurt spieth, hasn't played as well since. Sure he will be back in form for the masters though.

McIlroy can't putt properly and therefore is not the best player.

He is a very streaky putter if he was able to putt like Speith he would win every tournament

I'd say he was inconsistent as opposed to can't putt.

Anyway, What about the rest of his game? Probably the best driver and long hitter in the game. Can't just judge his weakness and say it means he isn't the best.

Be like saying scholes was a crap footballer because he couldn't tackle.

I like Spieth. Reminds me of Seve in the way he improvises when faced with a difficult lie or playing the ball above his feet etc. Brilliant putter too.
Rory best player in the world now. I love how aggressive he is when he needs to be.

    I posted this before...

Can anyone make a compelling case for one of the following over the other, or are they just really close and it simply comes down to personal preference and/or your gut?

    A) Mane and Gomis

    B) Ayew and Pelle

    Cheers.

Thanks. I currently have both Ayew and Gomis and expect to swap one out when Soton's fixtures get a little more plum. I'll just monitor the form of all four of them and figure it out when I need to.

Neither, as pairs. Ayew is enough. Fancy Tadic might be the best Sou pick.

Thanks for the response, but I just don't think Tadic is consistent enough to be reliable.

In similar time last year, Mane put up 11 goals and 4 assists to Tadic's 4 and 9 - and that included Tadic getting four assists in one crazy game. Aside from that game his numbers were very pedestrian last season.

He was player manager. But instead of playing CM and dominating he kept playing wide.

He also routinely picked up cards, with a lot of reds before he left. Whilst doing this he gave out game bans to all others who picked up a yellow card...

Sorry to hear you've been unwell. England to win 3 next major championships after convincing display again a dogged San Marino. On the transfer front - Pedro, will he ever rise, does anyone really care, and is he really that good or will it all peter out in the coming gameweeks. All shall be revealed. I've probably forgotten some other stuff. It'll come to me.

I got up off the couch earlier to cook the dinner but I was floored to the ground straight away with cramp in my thigh that could not be relieved with stretching 🙁 I was laid on the living room floor in agony for 10 minutes with fear of moving,I'mm actually walking with a slight limp as result since, good times 🙂

Not up to speed as not been well but reading a few posts Aguero and Sanchez seem front runners for Captain this week, are they not involved during International break flying many miles to do so, may be best to pick someone else as Captain this week who has a good shot (flying under the radar) i.e. Ayew/Gomis/Mahrez/Wlson, plus form not great for either (although stats maybe promising)

Just thinking out loud people 🙂

I'm starting to regret hitting the button due to these slow movements in price, then I remember I had

A keeper who will probably never get a CS (Schmeichel/Schwarzer)
An injured defender who might not get his place back immediately (Mertesacker)
The most over-priced defender in the game (Ivanovic)
A defender who can't even get in the starting XI of the worst defence in the league (Coates)
        No Kolarov

One of the most overrated players in world football and mysteriously injured (Ozil)
        Depay (enough said)

Pelle and Benteke. although Pelle scored I'm not convinced by either sides attacking prospects.

All these players were losing me value. So making 12 changes in all and getting in Kolarov, Silva, Sanchez, Ayew with a fresh defence and forward line. I'm sure I'll regret it.
