After assessing the Defenders, our series of members articles analysing the opening month of fixtures continues with a look at some of the stand-out statistics in midfield. Summer signings from Swansea, Crystal Palace, Man City, Chelsea and Norwich come under focus, whilst Arsenal’s premium big hitter offers many reasons for optimism.

You don't think Chelsea will keep clean sheets?

Not right now. Everton and Arsenal next, in due time yes but City's defence is rock solid.

                Payet > Ayew?

He's partnership with Gomis seems to be made in heaven

    Mahrez Silva Sanchez Payet (Wanayama)

    Aguero Gomis Diouf

Save the FT. Kompany will be nailed in the long term. Clichy will be back in about 5 weeks now.

    When to sell Mahrez?
I haven't fully figured out how the team value aspect works. Always surprised to see teams with 110 TV with also a decent point score. I have got onto a lot of early bandwagons and am doing alright. But I feel I don't have any idea regarding when to sell players

I have had Mahrez from the start and have gained 0.6 from him. I want to hold on to him for now. Lets say he blanks in the next 2 GWs. Is that then a good time to think about selling him so that I atleast gain 0.3 in profit? Or is it about looking at the price prediction sites and just selling before he decreases to 6.0 Mn?

Any guidance from all you experts would help

If he blanks the next 2, I'd sell him and take he £0.3m profit.
You could also sell him just before he decreases but I'd do it when his fixtures turn and he is off form.

Am I right in thinking that no player has scored 5 times in first 5 games in PL?
So Gomis possibly due a blank next GW?

If you have 2FT's; and you save the next FT, will you have 3FT's the following week or is there a limit?

      11 years, 1 month ago

Throwing around the idea that Kun isn't essential.
With Pedro slotting straight in and creating, possibly swapping for Costa.

    A) Mahrez - Depay - Silva - Silva - Payet
    Kun - Gomis - Kone

    B) Mahrez - Silva - Sanchez - YYT - Pedro
    Costa - Gomis - Watmore

    Thoughts?

Sorry A) has Silva and Sanchez - not 2 x Silva

    A) kane > gomis and rooney > aguero
    B) kane > gomis and ramsey > pedro
    C) rooney > gomis and ramsey > pedro
    any suggestions?

Didn't realise Diouf did not play because of an injury and 'out of respect for his Club' not risked.

No need to panic and take a hit to remove right??

Is Pedro ever going to rise btw?

Brought him in about 2 weeks ago cos thought he d rise a good bit.
Someone is going to say something about protected now which I hardly understand.
