An extraordinary death threat ode to Granville provided the inspiration and backdrop for this week’s Scoutcast.

My co-host wasn’t sure whether to feel flattered or mildly panicked by a community post like no other.

Recovering from the menacing tribute, Granville joined forces with Jonty and myself to assess the merits of the deadline day arrivals, before grappling with another round of community questions.

We rinse through the De Bruyne debate, the heavy-hitter slump, briefly consider buying Jonny Evans, before tentatively giving out dating advice – again inspired by the imaginations of you, the community.

This episode was first broadcast live via our YouTube channel and Google Hangouts. Be sure to subscribe to our channel for news of the latest live additions.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    A) Costa and Ramsey

B - not sure Ramsey will start or not if Ozil comes back in.

      Potentially:
      Coquelin - Cazorla
      Oxlade - Ozil - Alexis
      Giroud

    Begovic, Lindegaard and De Gea.

Assuming all three start for the foreseeable future, who is the best choice?

Aye, thinking the same. United look stronger defensively right now and Lindegaard is obviously cheaper but it's hard to imagine Chelsea won't improve defensively over the next two months.

Then again, if you've already used your wc then maybe you wouldn't want to transfer in a GK you'll have to transfer out again. If De Gea starts he'll keep his place all season...

If Courtois is out for 2 months like some have said, then Begovic. Can't be certain with De Gea atm.

Is there enough mediocrity here to warrant a Wildcard -; Huth, Coates, Targett, Mané and to some extent Hazard and Ozil?

    Ruddy | Rudd
    Azpilicueta | Kolarov | Huth | Coates | Targett
    Hazard | Özil | Mané | Mahrez | Fletcher
    Aguero | Benteke | Diouf [1FT + 0.3m]

Does this look absolutely crazy for a 3-5-2 WC team? Tinkering with the idea and came up with this...

    Fab
    Cedric hector kolarov
    Mahrez lens Sanchez toure Ayew
    Aguero Pelle

    McCarthy Cathcart targett kone

Cathcart and targett are just in as general ideas of prices right now, did have ward and saylor. Too many transfers done over the last two weeks!

    Thanks

Pelle would probably just stay in this week to be fair, and yeah having looked at the fixtures I probably prefer Payet or even Shaqiri. Now considering Sanchez to pedro, Pelle to tekkers and lens to Payet.

What don't you like about the defence?

AOA with Sinclair against Leicester so will have to wait until Sunday for that one. Aguero and Sanchez in the 3pm kick offs should be interesting during the wedding breakfast!

Fancy Villa opting for pace against Leicester's slow defenders - could be a good game for your team.

FUT Draft is fun, and I don't like ultimate team. Like the fact there's no fitness card etc for the game mode

have there been any hints as to where Silva and KDB will line up? I can't imagine taking Silva out of a role he's absolutely thriving in just like that

IMO team will stay same with maybe KDB coming on for Silva after 60 mins, MC play Juve on Tuesday, KDB not had much time to train with first team

So, if you have Butland(ars) and McCarthy(MCI), which one is more likely to get more than 2 points?

Are you being swayed by your captain choice (Sanchez or Aguero)?

I'm currently on McCarthy and Sanchez(c), but by no means certain on either!

I'm playing Butland, I can't see City blanking. Aguero had 3 goals and 4 assists in 95 minutes of international football during the break.

Cheers. So you're playing Butland because you're captaining Aguero, or because you think Stoke have a slightly higher chance of not conceding?

I'm slightly concerned about Aguero's pitch time to give him the armband.

he only played 15 minutes in the second international match, he'll start and play at least 75 IMO..no reason to baby him

Arsenal have scored 1 goal themselves this season, they're not on form and City are on terrifying form. it's a bet hedge

Yep, I'm concerned that Arsenal haven't clicked yet. But on the other hand, Stoke strike me as a team that will rollover after an international break. They have flair players who can turn it on, on their day, but will they be interested in tracking all the Arsenal players?

Man City host Juventus on Tuesday. Could factor.

I don't think Aguero needs to be wrapped in wool like some make it out to be..13/14 was a long time ago and that was Pelle's fault more than Aguero being 'prone'..aside from a bad knee injury last season, he was fit for much of it

I guess I'm also comfortable as I put my MLs first and I think I'm the only one with Sanchez so I don't feel the need to captain him

This might be the deciding factor. I think I could live with Sanchez outscoring Aguero(c) but not Aguero outscoring Sanchez(c).

Play Targett (wba) or Gomez (man u)

Or jump off the Gomez wagon and get Jonny Evans (SOUTHAMPTON) on a FT

Can feel another low score and also thinking of taking a hit is an option.

Targett. I know Man U have been a bit insipid recently but its still Man U at Old Trafford, they're more likely to score than a Pulis team.
