Mahrez poor 1st half, and at fault for 2nd goal. But turned the game on it's head in 2nd half, involved in all goals, some sensational dribbling and won motm.

Don't think Westwood done anything of note, probably wouldn't have guessed he was playing watching it

armband on Mahrez..believable and arguably intelligent punt
A match feeling like 3-2 (not even a prediction) 5 mins in does not suggest a big bet.

Because Pellegrini really wanted him to make his debut against Juve or at home vs. West Ham. Jesus Navas must be out of the first team for a longer time after his horrendous open-goal miss so there is huge chance De Bruyne will start most of the games.

        Aguero Injured
        Yaya too deep

        Sagna doing great
        De Bruyne looked good.

I'll probably stick at least Yaya has pens if Aguero is out

          • 15 Years
          10 years, 6 months ago

aguero should be fine but let's see. On his day capable of a massive haul

yaya deep? He is deep in cm yes but he gets forward, should have had an assist (if nasri could finish) and a goal yesterday (if navas didn't try to break the record for hardest pass)

yaya on pens when aguero is out is a good point

sagna is a rotation risk when zaba is back and de bruyne is good but only been 1 game and he could be rotated from time to time

Benteke was not interested in the game at all and being wholly objective, total abject soiled pants before the outstanding goal he scored. Not good enough to justify right now apart from fixtures and not blaming him 100% as Liverpool generally were equally to blame although after all the seasons with Villa, he should know better. Alternatives are still more appealing.

Fickle bunch this community. Last week most were captaining him because "he's Aguero". I reckon most will still GW6 because he is. And he's £13.2m at home to WHU. And "he's due".

Wilson or Benteke for me maybe. Or Silva. Sanchez even. Or maybe Aguero because he's not off form, got the fixture, has class and proven history. If fit only. See what midweek brings.

Nope and nope. PES 2014 and 2015 completely destroyed Fifa on every aspect(except licenses). Why do you think it's been awarded the best sports game award at Gamescom in two years in a row? In Germany by the way, where EA Sports spends an insane amount of money for marketing and to buy licenses.

The graphics in Fifa are really not on the same level as PES, i've played both the PES demo and the game(yeah, officially it comes out in 4 days) and i've played the Fifa demo and the other demo too at Gamescom. PES' graphics are better but Fifa's lighting is one of the best around, which means the graphics are not better but it's "prettier to look at".

Anyway i can't play Fifa, it's too unrealistic and flipperish, i'll probably get a promo copy at 20 euros just to use it as a managerial game.

Nope, you're clearly not informed. Fifa is totally unrealistic, the animations are terrible and PES has destroyed Fifa now for three years in a row, even though it's been awarded as the best football game at Gamescom only for the last two. PES 2016 is the best football game ever made, probably the best sports game ever made. Fifa is arcade and made for casuals, PES it's a simulation made for people who truly love football.

Fifa is stale and soulless (this coming from someone who has bought 08-15) imo it never hit the heights of old school pes. Pes fell a long way and fifa has been on top but gameplay wise it's pretty much always been pes, now they've finally sorted out their act. Pes 16 demo is amazing, more could be done but from how far behind it fell it's a great turnaround

          3. @persecuted_by_mods
              10 years, 6 months ago

how anyone can think fifa has better or more realistic gameplay than pes is beyond me. As a package fifa is better obviously but for me gameplay is king and fifa doesn't come close.

                10 years, 6 months ago

Purely from a gameplay perspective pes matches are more true to life. It's about passing and movement and using space, also beating defenders with shimmys and feints rather than linking combo skills together

In Fifa they put things like female football and the spray for the set pieces but they've been ignoring fans suggestions for years. They've had the same crappy animations since Fifa 09, which were fine until 4 years ago but the point is that they have never improved them. Like the "broken ankle pass", which has become one of the most unrealistic animations ever(practically every pass in Fifa is made with a twisted ankle that looks broken).

Things starting to click for Sunderland a bit now? Think they were unlucky today, and Advocaat seems to have cracked his team selection now. Should be unchanged next week. Just needs them to get fitter, as they tired towards the end. Defoe and Lens looked threatening, and the latter is still on my radar.

GW 8 -14 looks nice. Thinking Chadli > Lens

Yeah could be decent for sure. My only worry at the back is the full-backs, especially PVA who leaves so many gaps. They've taken a huge step to improving though by binning Cattermole and starting M'vila who looks the business.

Really like Lens though, but may grab one of their cheap defenders too.

It's time to take your rose tinted glasses off.
You're a very brave man if you're backing a Liverpool asset next GW. Don't kid yourselves, you could say, along with Sunderland and possibly even Chelsea, Liverpool have been one of the worst teams so far by a country mile. A last ditch winner from Coutinho at the Britannia after an appaling performance which had 0-0 written all over it, it was a yard away from the top corner and the keeper had to do better. Liverpool were then let off after Elphicks goal at Anfield was wrongly ruled offside.. And then a howler from the officials let Benteke's goal stand, although it was clearly offside. Then Arsenal were missing 2 established centre halves which 2 rusty deputies had to fill in, and it was obvious they'd struggle to begin with, hence why Liverpool looked lively on the attack. 2nd half, Arsenal dominated and Rodgers game plan from then on was to come away with a point. Then you have the game which took us Liverpool fans back down to earth, a 3-0 mauling by West Ham, where they'd previously lost 4-3 against a newly promoted side Bournemouth!! The latest of the awdul campaign, was an embarrassing performance at Old Trafford. They played Fellaini up front, yes, let that sink in, Fellaini. But they still put 3 goals past us? If it wasn't for Benteke's great goal, then the scoreline would've looked worse. You have an 18 year old left back who has 12 months of 1st team senior football under his belt, in the championship for Christ sake. Who also can't use his left foot, but plays down the left hand side.. He's received so many booking because he's giving away cheap fouls because of the inexperienced he carries, look at the penalty he gave away yesterday for example. You then have Lovren who, well, you know all about him. Then you also have an very unsettled, unbalanced midfield, which includes Lucas, whos been an outcast in recent months, Emre Can, who no one really knows where his best position is. Then you have James Milner, he just does his thing, he just does a James Milner basically. Then there's Firmino, a player nobody had heard of before Brazil called him up, that goes down to the fact Brazil aren't gifted with many good centre forwards at present, hence why Fred was their hope in the world cup. It's been announced that nobody else bidded for Firmino which then also raises more concerns. Finally, the centre forward, the player who doesn't fit the 'Liverpool Way' or the 'Rodgers Way'.
Liverpool are against the ropes at the minute. You have Muhammed all dancing around, showing off, wanting the opponent to fire some shots, then you have George Foreman's right hand coming in for the killer blow everytime. Liverpool is just laying there knocked out while the whole world looks through their rose tinted glasses.
