Roberto Martinez is hopeful on Seamus Coleman ahead of the Swansea trip. Christian Eriksen will be assessed for Spurs, West Ham’s Pedro Obiang is a slight doubt for the trip to City after picking up a knock, whilst Arsene Wenger has yet to decide who starts up front for Arsenal’s trip to Chelsea.

Arsene Wenger has conceded that Per Mertesacker is still a doubt for Arsenal’s trip to Chelsea. The Gunners boss went on to say he has yet to decide whether Theo Walcott or Olivier Giroud will lead the line at Stamford Bridge.

Roberto Martinez has delivered a positive update on the hamstring injuries sustained by Seamus Coleman and Mo Besic in the win over Chelsea. The pair are responding well to treatment, with Martinez hopeful they’ll be back on Saturday or in midweek. Bryan Oviedo is also set to return in midweek, while Darron Gibson remains unavailable due to a lack of match fitness.

Pedro Obiang picked up a knock on his ankle in Monday’s win over Newcastle, though Slaven Bilic has since suggested that the midfielder should train ahead of the Etihad trip. Angelo Ogbonna is out for “a week or two weeks” with a hamstring injury, while elsewhere the Hammers will welcome back Adrian after suspension.

Norwich striker Gary Hooper is out for a number of weeks with an ankle injury. The on-loan Andre Wisdom is unavailable to face parent club Liverpool, whilst Lewis Grabban is also back in contention after stepping up his fitness.

Claudio Ranieri has confirmed that Nathan Dyer is ready to play at Stoke, after the winger sustained a head knock in the comeback win over Aston Villa. There are no fresh injury concerns, according to the Italian, with Matty James the only absentee.

Sunderland will be without Duncan Watmore for the trip to Bournemouth, with the forward failing to train having been laid low by illness during the week. In more positive news, Adam Johnson is back in the squad following a shoulder injury, while Steven Fletcher is also in contention after overcoming a knock. Dick Advocaat has confirmed he will retain last week’s 4-2-3-1 formation, with Ola Toivonen expected to tuck in behind Jermain Defoe through the middle.

Brendan Rodgers has admitted that Mamadou Sakho is in his plans for the home clash with Norwich after impressing against Bordeaux last night. The Reds boss rolled out a 3-4-2-1 formation for the trip to France, finally moving away from the much-criticised 4-3-3 set-up that’s seen the Merseysiders score just three times in the first five Gameweeks.

Garry Monk has revealed he has a fully-fit squad to choose from as Swansea play host to Everton. The Swans boss confirmed that Ki Sung-yeung is available after returning to training – the midfielder flew to South Korea last Saturday for the birth of his first child.

Quique Sanchez Flores has hinted that Ben Watson will step in for the suspended Valon Behrami as Watford travel to Newcastle. The Hornets boss also admitted he’s a little reluctant to fast-track his recent new signings into the starting XI. Discussing the likes of Nathan Ake, Adlene Guedioura, Victor Ibarbo, Obbi Oulare, Alessandro Diamanti and Steven Berghuis, the Spaniard went on to say: “When they are ready, physically and tactically, they are ready to go to the list”.

Mauricio Pochettino rolled out an injury update after Tottenham’s Europa League win last night. The Argentine is optimistic on Ryan Mason’s availability, whilst Christian Eriksen will be assessed and Moussa Dembele remains a doubt. Eric Dier was withdrawn with a knee knock in the 3-1 triumph but is expected to be available.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream as breaking news unfolds.

Leicester and Palace are on form, Spurs not. Spurs attacking has been very bad especially without Eriksen, don't see Spurs likely to score let alone score a couple. Palace only lost 0 - 1 to Man City.

Spurs always start slow, they are now a very defensive team, only like to play possession football and high defensive line but without a proper defensive midfielder to protect the back 4, they were lucky not to lose the last PL game. No creative players from their midfield apart from Eriksen. I do not understand why they are in fine form.

No doubt you don't understand it. Reading your reply, I understand very well why you don't understand it. But I guarantee you, with my better knowledge, they are going to score significantly more than they have, if they can keep up the way they play. They've been very unlucky so far, should have scored 8-9 goals with a bang average finishing, had the opposition GK's played by normal standards.

Btw, it's funny you say they lack creativity, when they have create so immensely many good scoring chances. I wonder how they do that without any creative players. Oh well, there is that one lad who has created 2nd most scoring chances per 90 in the league. He might be creative.

Reposting as looking for a few more comments – who on earth do I bench out of this lot (done my transfer, pedro for coutinho already, not doing another)

    Schemicial McCarthy
    Kolarov Dawson Richards Darmian Skertel
    Coutinho Mahrez Depay Ozil Payet
    Kun Wilson Gomis

    Thoughts:
Ozil always goes missing in big away matches, bench fodder waiting to happen
Dawson and Richards are the obvious bench victims, but I think that game will be nil nil with Villa wanting to tighten up after Leicester and West Brom beaming with delight at the thought of a free goalless draw
Payet. Two goals, on form… but away at City…
Darmian has toughest fixture at the back, but United are still very strong at the back and Saints look toothless.
    Depay. He’s due isn’t he? Surely…

I’m talking myself into a bench of Depay, Ozil and Payet. Which is so insane, it might just work…

Help me people, obi-wan Kenobi, whoever… you’re my only hope

I'd definitely bench Richards, but choosing from the rest is hellish. My instinct, if in doubt, is to bench defenders, but that is a really tough call.

If you don't want to bench anybody, then play the bench boost.

I would bench Darmian, Payet, Depay and in that precise order.

There's a chance that Sherwood goes all Sherwood against WBA though. If you fear that happens, bench both Richards and Dawson, and play Darmian, and flip a coin between the two midfielders.

A good call if all your players are playing and you have a majority of home fixtures. You will be hard pressed to make the chip valuable in a DGW.

Can Gabriel do a job on him, if Wenger puts Kos on him then that might free up space for others, I'd say it's a good thing

Costa has been so poor so far, and Gabriel looks a very competent player. It will probably have a slight effect, but unless Costa really really ups his game, they should deal with him.

If you have no other pressing issues I probably would, I think I'm captaining Benteke, and he looks a great option next week as well (though Costa does have Newcastle).

I'm trying to ignore "names". Aguero and Sanchez are statistically doing enough to warrant places in my team; Costa just looks so poor at the moment.

    Hi,

Having issues deciding on the following:

    Pedro - Keep
    Pedro - Oscar
    Pedro - Silva

I like Pedro but one week without could be costly and I can bring him back but it will waste a transfer.

I'm thinking just save the transfer and play my current midfield of Mahrez, Sanchez and Courtino.

    Open to advice.

Contemplating playing the All out attack chip. My front 8 is:

    Coutinho (NOR H) | Ayew (EVE H) | Sanchez (CHE) | Yaya (WHU H) | Mahrez (STO A)
    Agüero (WHU H) | Diouf (LEI H) | Wilson (SUN H)

Defence is weak, with Kolarov (WHU H) | Richards (WBA H), Shaw, Jenkinson and Targett.

I've seen a lot of people have headaches over which defenders to play, so one option is to let the bookies decide for you!

Here are decimal clean sheet odds for teams this weekend in order of most likely to least likely.

    Bournemouth - 1.1
    Man City - 1.1
    Liverpool - 1.1
    Villa - 1.5
    Spurs - 1.625
    Man Utd - 1.7
    Swansea - 1.875
    Newcastle - 2
    Stoke - 2
    Southampton - 2.3
    Chelsea - 2.4
    WBA - 2.4
    Leicester - 2.5
    Everton -2.6
    Watford - 2.6
    Arsenal - 3
    Palace - 3.5
    Sunderland - 4
    Norwich - 4.5
    West Ham - 11

              That's 2.10.

You need to add a pound when converting to decimals.

              1.10 would be 1/10.

Anyone else got a gut feeling that Oscar is going to have a good season?

Remember in the Scout picks at the start, someone picked him for best differential. See a lack of options in the Chelsea midfield, and a couple of good performances could see Oscar make that role in the hole his own this season.

He's also looking well priced at 8.3 at the minute, compared Pedro at 9.5.

I have the completely opposite feeling; I just don't see him as an FPL asset at all. I don't think he'll be able to fully nail down a place.

If he can, he'll be a great asset. I think he will eventually nail down a place in the squad that plays the weak oppositions, but will not start, for example, against Arsenal.
