The first members’ article of the week arrives this evening as we delve into the data from Gameweek 6. We check in on Chelsea and West Brom’s new attackers, assess Everton and Southampton’s lone strikers, and cast an eye over Liverpool’s main performers in light of Brendan Rodgers’ move to a 3-4-1-2 formation at home to Norwich.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

      McCarthy
      Kolarov Dawson Muniesa
      Sanchez Silva Pedro Shelvey
      Aguero Diouf Wilson

      Schmeichel / Westwood Richards Aldy

      1FT 0.9 itb

I know I have some risks and some to get rid of (Muniesa, Shelvey, possible McCarthy) but I think I can scrape through this week and reassess with 2FT next week?

Shelvey will play though, so only risks are Muniesa / Shelvey / Silva and have just about enough cover. Maybe Shelvey > Mahrez?

Why....hasn't muniesa lost his place? Zouma is a risk yes, but one that comes with potential big reward. Saying that he has much more pressing issues in Shelvey and Diouf and potentially silva too (if confirmed out)

    Which combo to score better:

    A) Francis vs stk (GW7) & Sako vs WHM (GW9)

    Or

    B) Cathcart vs cpl (GW7) & C.Wilson vs city (GW9)

Out of these players, who would you put as a sub. Preferably 1-3-4-3 formation.

    DeGea - McCarthy ( Goalkeepers)

Sagna - Ben Davies - Cathcart - Evans - Jo Gomez (Defenders)

Mahrez - Sanchez - Silva - Pedro - Hoolahan (Midfielders)

Wilson - Agüero - Diouf (Forward)

    Cheers.

Yep Chadli's definitely going. I think he'll start but he's certainly a risk for reduced mins and he's got 3 tough fixtures coming up.

Payet's definitely the safe choice, he's going to continue to rise and has good fixtures.

I saw your MF on the other thread, logged on to my FPL team and stared in disbelief - unsure how I could make that MF work without gutting my DF and/or attack.

It looks like you pay the price up top and at the back... Interesting none the less.

Would you ever consider Sanzhez -> Caz and/or KDB -> Yaya and invest the cash into the team?

not Caz no as he plays so deep for me, nor Yaya for me for similar reasons, i think if anyone goes it would be Payet to maybe Ayew and then that little extra money means i can get a 5.5 and 5.0 instead of currently lovren and morgan, so say evans and mert or something like which I think is good enough.

If anyone thinks that letting Gabriel off was fair, how is this different from the Matic incident against Burnley? Barnes put in a leg breaking tackle and Matic retaliated. Matic got a ban while Barnes went unpunished. Chelsea will really feel undone by this. I'm not at all arguing with the Costa ban

It wasn't rescinded because he it was retaliation, it was rescinded because it wasn't 'violent conduct'. The fact he got a straight red card for such a small act is purely the result of refereeing incompetence.

        intent. intent. intent.

There's a distinct difference between a red card for a bad tackle or a DOGSO offense and a red card for 'violent conduct'. The former happens in the scope of a match and is a footballing offense, the latter has no place on the field and has nothing to do with football.

I actually agree with this. I don't even understand how Costa finishes game. As a Chelsea fan it is a bit irritating with Costa doing it all the time. But calling him a disgrace is just wrong. He's at the Keano, Cantona psycho level. Frankly, the most shocking game was the PSG game. I still don't know how he ended up playing the entire match.

What do you make of a guy raising his foot towards someone's shin while he is behind him? How do you not see intent there? The impact doesn't matter, the intent does.

Intent to what? You didn't answer the question. Was the intent to injure? Obviously not. Was the intent to hurt him? Obviously not. The 'intent' was just the same Costa patting Gabriel on the chest, the same as when players brush shoulders, it was just a continuation of the prior 5 minute incident.

it's a clear petulant act after having JUST been booked. it was incredibly stupid and shows Gabriel's maturity level.

stark contrast to Koscielny's reaction, a true leader and role model for his teammates.

you do realize that violent conduct isn't some subjective item akin only to punching someone in the face right?

anything that is outside the scope of a football match fits the category.. i.e. a kick out (no matter how unwilling you are to say it's a kickout) when the ball is dead and no play is going on, especially following an altercation you were ALREADY booked for.

So should shoulder barges be straight red cards as well? I just think you're drawing the line far too low. Costa should be banned because he deliberately swung a hand at Kos's face, there was nothing else ban worthy.

honestly when have the FA every been rational? rationally speaking I would have that a 4-5 match ban would have made sense for Costa just like the last Suarez ban probably should have been more than his previous bans.

they also let horrible physicality slide but then punish Rooney OTT for swearing.

      Gabriel should have stayed banned.

OK, Mou is a legend for our club and we'll always respect him. I respect his achievements, his role as a manager and the way he builds a team. Regarding the medical staff, he was wrong. I'm not going to stop respecting a man coz of such petty mistakes. You'd see a united fan proud of Cantona, Keane. It goes on the same line. Moreover, this isn't the point.

'David has a kick in the calf. He tried to warm up but he felt his muscle was still stiff so he didn't play,' said Pellegrini. Where is Facer when you need him 🙂

Is it worth bringing in Hazard for Yaya? Have Kolarov and Aguero as City cover but no Chelsea

regardless of any news, I HIGHLY doubt Silva starts vs Spurs with a much more crucial CL match mid-week.

plus we have no proof he trained, just one photo showing him standing in a circle next to the coaches.

I disagree, I reckon KDB or Sterling will be left out at the weekend

Maybe if it was a Wednesday game, but with a few days recovery, I wouldn't read into it.

and then what? Yaya in the hole if both Silva and KDB are rested for CL?

who plays centrally with Fernandinho then?

Sinik, it is pure guesswork. We don't know the condition of individual players.

Had the chance to get in Martial for Gomis two days ago but i hesitated

Tonight neither of wilson mahrez payet gomis ayew played and kun was safe with only sanchez to go

Regretting now to miss out on Martial double rise. Too late to get him now ?

    Butland
    Kolarov Francis Dawson
Sanchez (C) Yaya Mahrez Payet (V)
    Aguero Wilson Diouf
    Schmeichel Richards Westwood Gomez
    3,7 itb.

Order of priority to get rid? 3,7m itb.
    A) Diouf, injured or lets see?
    B) Gomez, not playing but other def can do the job?
    C) Westwood, pimp him up to someone who get more than 2 points.

Could be a nice DGW at the end of the season with City taking the League Cup so seriously.

Also a nasty blank to deal with given that most have 3 City.
