The first members’ article of the week arrives this evening as we delve into the data from Gameweek 6. We check in on Chelsea and West Brom’s new attackers, assess Everton and Southampton’s lone strikers, and cast an eye over Liverpool’s main performers in light of Brendan Rodgers’ move to a 3-4-1-2 formation at home to Norwich.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

No man i just looked at your history and you have none 🙂

I am not trying to insult you mate

Guys as high up the rankings as you are usually avoid hits like the plague just keep that in mind your transfer if any at all has to be clinical and you will have every chance of a great year you could even win it if you play your cards right from where you are

It would be great to see a rookie win it 🙂

Cheers mate. Thanks for the words of encouragement. Never thought you were insulting at all!

Thanks for the advice about taking hits. I know I probably dont even need it but just wanted to gauge if it was a sound move.

Since the beginning I've made moves which are not exactly in line with FFS wisdom so I've been lucky this hasn't been a a 'normal season' so far. Personally think I'm benefiting from beginners luck

As long as you are operating not exactly in line with FFS wisdom you should be ok judging by whats been happening with the community on here these past few weeks

But this a great place to come to keep up to date with the latest and see which way the herd is stampeding keep up the good work btw

Cheers. Yeah I benefited a lot from here on building my initial team. The range of views are always refreshing.

There's usually some dissenters when herds emerge which allows you to make a balanced decision on whether to join them or not. Luckily for me the best bandwagons of the season so far; namely Mahrez and Kolarov, I've had since GW1!

Thanks again and good luck with your season

Sorry if I sound like abroken record, but do you guys think I should go for this?

Gomez & Benteke -> Martial and Evans (-4)

Nyom is currently the back up in case of Gomez's AWOL. If don't do it, I'd probably save since Silva is reported to be healthy now.

I agree with HEELS_OVER_HEAD. You can't bench a player when he's been so consistent. Have some faith! Haha. I would definitely bench Andre Ayew.....as long as Silva actually ends up playing. Ayew hasn't been performing nearly as well as Mahrez..... and Swansea can't exactly be high on confidence since they just lost to Hull City... granted it was just the Capitol One Cup and they didn't field their best team by a long shot but I can't imagine the loss will help much.

As for Silva, it's looking good apparently.... don't know if you saw the tweet that was posted 7-8 hours ago:

"More good news - manager says Silva, Kompany and Bony should be fit for Saturday - Sterling, de Bruyne, Silva in a three?".

I have exactly the same front 8 with Sanchez instead of Yaya.

I'm benching Ayew. Thought about playing AOA but with Silva risk as well, it didn't seem worth it.

I wish I had sanchez but if i sell payet, I only get 10.9m. Just need 0.1 from somewhere now.

I think i'll go with ayew. Cheers.

Just noticed that Costa received a 3 match ban and Gabriel had his overturned. I support neither club, but it made my day to see that justice exists in this world.

Costas ban is totally right imo.

Now i have no love for Chelsea, Costa or Mourinio but the Gabriel overturn is a bit weird. Are they saying he did not kick out at him? If he did its a stupid little thing but by the letter of the law you should get a red. Beckham in the World Cup vs Argentina?

Anyway i think its hilarious but a little confused.

I don't think he did kick out. They were both walking backwards, Costa stopped behind him, and Gabriel walked into him. Didn't look deliberate to me (or at least not obviously).

Sure. And overturning the ban really undermined one of the few decisions Dean actually got right in the whole match!

Giving Gab a 2-3 match and Costa a larger one could have sorted it out.

              Only Kolarov.

Only major bandwagons "missed' are Kompany (since I didn't think his goals were sustainable, nor was he going to get Bonus), Yaya (since I had Silva), Barkley (terrible fixtures, though that hasn't stopped him)... and now Martial.

Missed out on Barkley but I managed to get Martial on time.

Seems like we both like to play the value game. It's gonna be a slow race but hopefully it pays off in the end

Really want to do Silva to Kdb, but not only is the move sideways, it will also be for -4.

Just can't have Silva missing another game after seemingly being fine all week.

What is sideways about this move?

      1. Acquafresca
        • 14 Years
        10 years, 6 months ago

That it's for a hit and when both play Silva can potentially match KDB's output

        1. Van Klinkert Delarosa
          • 11 Years
          10 years, 6 months ago

I thought the hit was for another reasoning. (Agreeable)

Don't think it is sideways if you opt for less injury prone players, with more changes to play.

Agreed on the output, only if Silva is fit tho.

Aguero, he may not be scoring from open play but he's getting plenty of chances which tells you he will hammer someone soon.

If he was only having 4 shots in 2 games like Martial than I would be worried.

He should have had a hatrick last night, I watched it and he's still a massive danger, this will be the week when they all go in after a load captain Martial and he blanks after only having 1 shot this week instead of 2.

Quite undecided on what to do this week. This is my current team:

    Hart - McCarthy
    Kompany - Richards - Naughton - Gomez - Dawson
    Sanchez - Mahrez - Payet - Barkley - Westwood
    Kun - Benteke - Wilson

    A) Gomez --> Azpi/Zouma/Cresswell
    B) McCarthy --> Myhill
    C) Benteke --> Martial

Or a combination for a hit?

Also, if I don't do A), could possibly play AOA chip...

Anyone with Benteke, no FT and strong front 8 thinking of only playing 2 up front?
