Our first members article of the international break arrives this afternoon. Assessing the players by classification across the last four Gameweeks, we look at the impact made by Southampton and City’s new centre-halves, Newcastle’s raiding right-back and Palace’s big Norwegian as Alan Pardew’s defence starts to tighten up.
-
Best 3 defenders to own at the moment IMO are
Kolarov
Bellerin
Bertrand.
Thoughts??-
Van Dijk Bellerin Bertrand
Double or Nothing -
Dawson can be quite good too.
-
Agreed. Thinking of doing Cresswell, Darmian & Martial to Berty, Bellerin and Pelle. So m defence would match that.
-
Own Kolarov Bellerín Fonte 😎
-
-
Butland
Darmian - Kolorov - Francis - Gomez - Staylor
Hazard - Coutinho - Mahrez - Payet - Westwood
Aguero - Martial - Pelle
-
Anything worth a hit? Sanchez is a glaringly horrible omission 🙁-
ITB & FT?
-
Well no FT as I said it would be for a hit but I have a massive 0.2 ITB
-
-
Coutinho to Mane if he's still hurt.
-
-
Who said you cant have a decent team with All 3 of Kun Sanchez and KDB.
Myhill Hennesey
Darmian Bellerin Bertand (Nyom Francis)
Sanchez KDB Payet Mahrez (Wanyama)
Aguero Pelle Vardy
0.2itb. Thoughts on this team ?-
I was just looking at getting a team with Aguero, Hazard, Sanchez, KDB in.
Myhill - Hennessey
Kolarov - Dawson - Williams - Cathcart - Gomez*
Hazard - Sanchez - KDB - Mahrez - Westwood
Aguero - Gomis - Ighalo
3 transfers away...-
Oops, it was Vardy over Gomis
-
Would also love to have hazard. but payet seems a very good alternative at the moment.
-
Payet looks the better option atm.
Who knows what will happen though. Chelsea will surely pick up soon.-
Yeah tasty 7-8 home games for chelsea upcoming. good time to own hazard. if he could build on his decent run of late
-
-
-
-
But yes, that team looks fantastic 🙂
-
a couple of weeks away from this team though.
frontline is pretty much settled. but currently have gomez sagna and muniesa. will get rid of them for Bellerin Betrand and nyom very soon-
Sagna Gomez --> Bellerin Betrand this week
Muniesa --> Nyom next week
-
-
-
Lovely team
-
Nice
Team value?-
103.6m
-
I'm 0.1 short then 🙁
-
-
-
Like it!!!
-
I wish I could marry that team
-
Nice ! Mine arm, remarkably similar.. On WC this week. But had Sanchez KDB and Kun already
Gomez (Butland)
Kolarov Bellerin Davies (Soure, Distin)
Sanchez KDB Payet Mahrez (Drinkwater)
Aguero Pelle Vardy
0.1 ITB -
cheers everyone
-
Same front 8 as me 🙂
My defence needs a little work (not that it's awful) -
It's not all that.
-
V nice.
takes me 6 transfers to get to that squad. Can do it with 1.3m left itb -
not a million miles off
http://imgur.com/pOerVBy-
nice team btw !
-
-
-
Guzan/Butland
Cook/Richards/Reid/Kolarov/Darmian
Ayew/Payet/Mahrez/De Bruyne/Sánchez
Vardy/Agüero/Ighalo
1FT/1M ITB
A. Darmian > Bertrand
B. Guzan > Hennessey (free up 0.6)
C. Save transfer
D. Any other suggestions?-
C. Leicester will score against Soton so A can wait.
-
Thanks for your input 🙂
-
-
-
Boruc has just 12 FPL saves so far this season, Bournemouth have conceded 12 goals.
I don't like that ratio...-
Gomes is the way to go
-
Maybe Federici is the way to go for the Bournemouth defence as a whole.
-
Any chance he replaces Boruc? bit disappointing he's 4.4 and not 4.0 though
-
Howe would still play him which was mentioned by Howe on the news: pre-match con for BOU V AVL...
-
Probably a chance, but i'm jumping off the Bournemouth defence wagon when I have the chance.
-
-
-
-
-
can I get a quick RMT please? who do I need to shift pronto?
Butland// McCarthy
Azpi/ Kolarov/ Williams// Martin/ Francis
Sanchez/ Mane/ Barkley/ Walcott// Mahrez
Aguero/ Pelle/ Ighalo
0.0 ITB-
No one urgent
Francis fixtures are awful & I was thinking of him > sou def -
Nice team. I would save. You will probably need a KDB/Silva or a Hazard (if/ when Chelsea fire up).
-
It is a nice team. You miss KDB which a negative but you have Walcott which is a positive. So pretty good.
-
-
cheers guys 🙂 will ditch Francis asap but he can ride in the backseat for a couple more weeks for now
-
Same frontline.
Wally -> Payet and you've got my mid.
+ my defence is way better than yours 😉
Fantastic team.
-
-
Worth a hit for Cresswell to Bellerin?
-
Probably not.
-
-
Ayoze Perez. Likely to stay as a starter? I liked the look of him last season.
Decent alternative to Ighalo with the NEWC fixtures? Cheers 🙂-
He will probably start quite a few. Mitrovic is bound to get sent off.
-
Don't mind that move. Big fan of his myself.
-
yes and yes
-
I hope he stays in the starting line up, I put him in last week in readiness for their decent run of games.
-
Oh, I've put him in too Flynny. Just looking for some reassurances from the crowd 😀
-
We can celebrate or commiserate with each other at his scores then RCA.
Fingers crossed eh?
-
-
Same here. Newcastle look a much better side with two up front
-
-
I think he will start, Ayoze and Mitrovic partnership is showing promising signs
-
Thanks all.
-
-
Sanchez flagged for his groin injury. I hope he's ok on his return.
-
😐 That's going to stop his price increasing so rapidly, not by much I hope.
-
Fantastic. Slow down those transfers in a bit.
-
I hope Wenger doesn't bench him after seeing the flag 😥
-
-
Sanchez is yellow flagged now!
-
Is he due to play any games over this two week break?
-
Brazil and Peru
-
Cheers. 🙂
-
-
-
Doesn't mean anything
-
-
Sanchez is yellow flagged!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Ohnoes!
-
-
Sanchez doubtful...... play dead son, play dead
-
My god, Sánchez is doubtful 😮 😯 OMG
-
Is Sánchez flagged?
-
Who?
-
I haven't refreshed my pick team screen. So no.
Covers ears, lalalalalala-
😆
-
-
Not sure. Have you looked?
-
-
OH MY GOD SANCHEZ IS FLAGGED BURN YOUR HOUSE DOWN EVERYONE ITS OVER
-
Bench Mahrez or Vardy next week? Currently with Vardy
-
Sanchez
-
I like Watford's chance of a clean sheet next week, I must admit.
-
Don't even have him
-
-
Mahrez, I'm playing Ighalo over him.
-
But he'll be back trying to prove a point + on pens and set pieces + has a habit of getting double figures
-
Southampton are going to close them down.
2-0 written all over it 😉-
I don't see Leicester not scoring. They are just all out attack and have too much pace
-
Mane hatrick (3-2) Vardy, Mahrez
-
-
-
-
Mahrez.
-
-
Actually in a bar with Alexis right now, will ask him how serious his injury is.
-
He dead.
-
Just sold for Capoue for a hit
-
Prudent and wise
-
hahaha that tickled me 🙂
-
-
I'm here and I can confirm this is true.
Just tea bagged him to make sure.-
-
Pervert 😮
-
-
At least I hope he dead!
-
-
-
😆 😆 😆
-
-
-
Texas?
-
She's been sent to bed early for doing... heathen things.
-
😀
-
Looks like I've logged back on just in time. 😀
-
*grabs popcorn*
-
Careful, I got modded for mentioning nuggets. 😉
-
-
-
This may seem like a stupid question but for the qualifying groups for the Euro 2016, is there any benefit to finishing 1st as opposed to 2nd in the group, a better draw for the group stage of the competition maybe?
-
2nd in the group will face the 1st of another group and vice versa
-
OK in this scenario then teams will be all put for first place. I don't mind as long as Ireland get third haha.
-
-
None at all, I don't think. Teams are put in pots depending on their coefficients.
-
OK thanks, in that case maybe teams will put out weakened teams once they have a top 2 place secured. That might make things more interesting.
-
Maybe Jazz is right?
-
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UEFA_Euro_2016#Final_draw
For the draw, the hosts France will be automatically placed in position A1. The other 23 qualified teams will be seeded into four pots of five (Pot 1) or six teams (Pots 2, 3 and 4). The title holders Spain will be seeded in Pot 1 if they qualify. The other 22 teams will be seeded according to the UEFA National team coefficients updated after the completion of qualifying-
Anyone can edit Wikipedia. How do we know it wasn't you?
-
-
True, I have replied to that reply now also. As long as Ireland get 3rd I'm happy haha.
-
-
-
-
The only stupid question is the question you don't ask..
-
UEFA regulations: Article 16 Group formation – final tournament
16.01 By means of a draw, the UEFA administration allocates the 24 teams that qualify
for the final tournament into six groups (A, B, C, D, E, F) of four teams each.
16.02 The six groups are formed as follows:
Group A Group B Group C Group D Group E Group F
A1 B1 C1 D1 E1 F1
A2 B2 C2 D2 E2 F2
A3 B3 C3 D3 E3 F3
A4 B4 C4 D4 E4 F4
Basically Sepp phones Michel and says I'll pay you €20m to put England in a Sh1t group.
-
-
My defence next gw though...
Francis (City a) Richards (Chelsea a) Galloway (utd h)
Already taken a hit for KDB...-
Just don't play Francis. Richards and Galloway might be lucky to get a 1-2 pt each.
-
I have too. Others not playing
-
-
-
KDB, Payet, Cabaye, Sanchez, Mahrez.
Ighalo, Ayoze, and Aguero.
Mahrez for the bench as he's away to Southampton?
Assuming Sanchez plays of course.-
I think I would bench Ighalo.
-
He'll see Arsenal as his first big scalp, goal and assist plus BPs.
-
Fair enough. I disagree
-
-
-
Mahrez even if it looks like Sanchez won't play.
-
Will West Ham or Palace have a penalty? :/
-
Added bonus if they do. I think Cabaye is probably a better pick for the SKY game tbh, but don't tell anyone.
-
-
I would bench Payet over Mahrez.
-
Thanks GB I'll give it some thought.
You know of course whichever one I bench will get double digit points.
-
-
mahrez scored twice against soton last season. could do well again if he starts
-
Oh Gawd! I might just let the dog choose.
-
-
nice . could be helpful while making tough choices
-
Stunning! Very impressed Slamdog. 🙂
-
-
-
-
I'd bench Ighalo over Mahrez
-
This.
-
-
-
Id play him
-
Absolutely--if we all played with our id we would be more effective.
-
Would we also have to play with our ego and super-ego at the same time?
-
No way, that's the point: suppress 'em!
-
Dangerous. What would mother think?
-
🙂
-
-
-
-
-
-
Shawcross played 45 minutes for the Stoke Under-21's tonight as he continues his recovery from injury.
-
Bit rough unleashing him on a bunch of young lads with their whole careers ahead of them.
-
Playing against him that game might be their whole career.
-
-
-

Avoid the hits.
-
A
-
-
A.
-
I can't agree. B is surely wiser.
-
Or a cheeky punt on C
-
-
I said the moment it happened that Sanchez's "injury" was planned international theatre. Wenger moaned that Sanchez couldn't be stopped from playing for Chile precisely to cover the fact that the whole thing was orchestrated. It's all going to be fine.
#trustyourbetters-
Isn't that how it always works with the internationals?
-
I didn't claim it was rocket science! 😉
-
Only brain surgery eh?

I'm taking a break for the rest of the int. break now. Don't want to think about fantasy. Probably will leave my team as it is
Myhill
Evans - Darmian - Kolarov
Manè - Silva - Ayew - Mahrez - Payet
Aguero - Pellè
(Butland - Vardy - Francis - Muniesa)
Just can't bench Mahrez, don't want to miss a haul and Vardy is due a blank...-
Good luck.
-
Thanks
-
-
See you tomorrow.
-
So would I if my team was in that state.
-
-
On a wildcard
Sanchez out for Walcott?-
Do it quick!
-
Don't be soft
-
Flamini is the better option.
-
No
-
Sanchez out for KDB!
-
I suppose so,
He is dead. Confirmed. -
ok thanks guys
see you at the funeral in two weeks time.
-
-
