Premier League football makes a welcome return as six teams grapple for superiority in the mid-afternoon kick-offs. Chelsea arguably top the bill, as they are afforded a good opportunity to banish their bad form as they play host to an Aston Villa outfit that’s winless in seven match-ups.

The Blues’ primary concern heading into the Villains clash will be their leaky defence: only Sunderland (18) have conceded more goals (17), while they rank third for big chances conceded (19). Productivity at the other end has also been a problem, given that only five sides tallied fewer shots on target (15) than Chelsea across the past four Gameweeks. Their quest to improve on that front is aided by the fact that Villa shipped eight goals in their previous three road clashes.

Manchester City prepare for life without Sergio Aguero for a month as they lock horns with Bournemouth on home turf. Manuel Pellegrini’s charges place top for attempts (45) and shots on target (19) over the last two Gameweeks, highlighting their sustained assault on opposing teams. Although the Cherries surrendered just 13 shots inside the box during that period, City will be encouraged that the south-coast club conceded the second most big chances (six).

Southampton’s head-to-head against Leicester City at St Mary’s Stadium looks like a high-scoring affair on paper. Saints netted eight goals in the last three Gameweeks, while the Foxes bagged nine in their previous quartet of fixtures. However, Southampton have been considerably harder to break down in the last three Gameweeks, conceding the fewest shots inside the box (14) – compare that to Leicester, who ranked second (39) behind Norwich City (43) in that metric.

Casting our attention towards the remaining trio of fixtures, Crystal Palace duke it out at home with a West Ham United side that sits joint-second for goals scored (17) this campaign. In the Midlands, West Bromwich Albion are pitted against Big Sam’s Sunderland, who’ve drawn blanks in four of their last five outings. Lastly, Everton attempt to extend their unbeaten streak to six matches when Manchester United roll up to Goodison Park.

I did Payet to Wijnaldum at the transfer window close. I'd probably be winning if I kept him.

How did martial look? involved enough to hold for the ripe fixtures after next week?

Other striker options starting to look tempting ( bony and vardy obv)...

Good to know, cheers. I think he is a natural finisher which is great for fpl, but if he is playing out wide, not sure i like his chances for points so much

Interested in this also. Only saw bits and pieces of the game and he gave Coleman a hard time. Played out on the wing tho, not through the middle.

    -24 hit check

    Out : Gomez (0) Dier(0) Richards(1) Darmian(6) Mahrez(4)
    Hazard(1) Aguero(0) Total 24 +12 = -36

    In : Bertrand(0) Janmaat(?) Bellerin(?) Hangeland(1) KDB(5)
    Mane(2) Costa (c) (24) Total = 32

So down by 4 but got Bellerin and Janmaat to go, Costa got me out of jail big time

I lost my main mini-league in 2011/12 by total transfers.

I had van der Vaart in week 38, who was substituted in the 60th minute (so 59:xx).

    (-12)

Pedro, Aguero, Kolarov, Wilson Out = 3 points

Mane, Costa, Monreal*, Pellè (c) in = 15 points pre baps with Monreal to play. Decent I guess

Cedric owners are saying how unlucky they are he was subbed 20 seconds too early.

They would have been very very lucky if he was subbed 20 seconds later and then Leicester score.

You are feeling hard done by because you didn't get lucky.. not because you deserve more.

Very poor. Poor control with simple passes and didn't threaten a weak defence. Out of sorts but think Jose's mainly interested in sorting his defence out at the moment.
