  1. Hold Fire On Mahrez Exit Plans

    Let me shed some light into the Mahrez situation.

    After countless hauls, Mahrez finally blanked vs Arsenal (game vs Bournemouth doesn't count due to injury). This led to some disappointment as people were used to his double figures.

    The following gameweek, Mahrez was an unused sub in the Norwich game where Leicester won 2-1. Ranieri clearly said in the presser that he wanted to bring Mahrez on in the 2nd half to add an element of surprise to their game, but because Leicester were winning; it wasn't required therefore he said 'he deserved a rest'.

    Then the international break occurred, Mahrez was off to Algeria. He came back late from there along with Schlupp and missed a couple of training sessions which is why he didn't start again because he wasn't ready. However, Schlupp did start. Perhaps he was more 'ready' and prepared. Mahrez did come on in the 2nd half though and the whole game changed, every play was through him and Leicester looked a very strong force. He led the team to a 2-2 comeback, assisting Vardy in injury time.

    He will start next match.

      Pelle (2), Manè (2), Monreal (6) and Costa (9) in.

      4 point profit, but most was due to injuries. I'd say, only take a hit in case of injuries. I did the Pedro transfer very early on.

    I already transferred Gomez > Bellerin with my FT. Am I mad to consider doing Sagna > Toby for a -4?

    Here is my thinking...

    1. I don't see either Sagna/Darmain getting a clean sheet in the Manchester derby but want to keep hold of Darmian for the good Man U fixtures coming up.

    2. Toby is a good solid pick for the future and it would add some better balance to my defence overall. Plus I am very confident of a CS vs Bournemouth which would negate the hit anyway if Sagna doesn't keep a CS.

    3. Means I can use my FT next week to get in Lukaku for Everton's prime fixtures.

    Any thoughts and comments would be much appreciated!

        Depends if it's a long term move. I (drunkenly) spent not 4 but 8 points this week on Azpi, Janmaat and Pelle for Kolorov, Monies and Ageuro. Taking into account who I'd have played if I hadn't done, I actually came out 1 point in profit, but regardless my defence looks much better.

            Depay needs a manager who actually cares about development, nurturing and adapting. Same could be said for Herrera and a bunch of others too. Some very good players with insane potential who are being brushed aside by the manager.
