A trio of new protagonists toppled off the Suspension Tightrope over the weekend’s ten fixtures. Palace wide man Wilfried Zaha, West Brom midfielder Claudio Yacob and Villa defender Ciaran Clark were the guilty parties, with all three set to miss Gameweek 15 as their clubs do not have midweek Capital One Cup fixtures to bail them out.

Zaha was booked for simulation just three minutes before scoring his first goal since the opening day of the season – he now misses the upcoming trip to Everton a week tomorrow. Yacob earned an 81st-minute yellow during the Baggies’ draw at West Ham, whilst Clark finally succumbed to the high wire with a fifth booking, more than two months after collecting a fourth yellow card in the Capital One Cup third round. The Villa centre-half was the second player in the top-flight to reach four cautions but had been hampered by fitness and selection issues ever since. He’s been named in all three of Remi Garde’s starting XIs, though, and will now miss the upcoming visit to Southampton.

Ryan Shawcross also received a one-match ban. The Stoke skipper collected two yellows in a five-minute spell either side of half-time for fouls on Steven Fletcher and Duncan Watmore as Mark Hughes’ men fell to a 2-0 defeat at Sunderland. He’ll miss the Capital One Cup Quarter Final against Sheffield Wednesday in midweek but will be available for next week’s tough home encounter with Man City.

Post-match, Hughes slammed the decision to send his captain packing as Stoke lost for just the second time since Gameweek 5:

“I think the referee didn’t show any common sense really and should have given Ryan the benefit of the doubt. Ryan feels he got a nick on the ball before the lads gone down so I’m disappointed from that point of view. The referee, on the day, didn’t perform as I’ve seen him perform before; unfortunately he got the awarding of the free kick that led to their first goal wrong as well. Those are the key moments in the game that change it and unfortunately they were negative for us.

Elsewhere in the same match, Erik Pieters joined Alex Tettey at the top of the Tightrope charts with his sixth booking – no Premier League player has more this season.

There were five new additions to this week’s Tightrope. Bournemouth’s Dan Gosling joined team-mate Matt Ritchie to double the number of Cherries on the wire. Stoke’s Charlie Adam picking up a fourth yellow for a crunching challenge on Lee Cattermole at the Stadium of Light, whilst Watford midfielder Etienne Capoue also saw yellow in yesterday’s fixtures.

Spurs defensive duo Jan Vertonghen and Kyle Walker joined them today, meaning that 18 players now sit just one caution shy of a single-match suspension. Mauricio Pochettino’s men have now received 33 bookings in the league this season – that’s more than any other side, with Liverpool (32) and West Brom (30) next in line. In the case of the first two in particular, their penchant for pressing opponents is clearly incurring the referees’ wrath.

Seven players will return from bans in time for Gameweek 15. Graziano Pelle, Lucas, Jonjo Shelvey, Chris Brunt, Robert Huth, Mark Noble and Dele Alli are available once again after falling off last week’s Tightrope, whilst James Collins comes back into contention for West Ham, having sat out a three-match ban.

Chelsea's form is terrible, they've been a huge upset this season and Hazard had 1 shot on target in their last 4 games. Also, he's fecking expensive at 10.9 and totally out of form.

    What's not to like??

Also, you can consider getting Fabregas.

that would work. they have made it tougher this year as you can only do pre month loans for 3 matches where as last year you could do 4 and cover the whole month. this month was exception with the internationals so the "free" loan covered the whole month

You would have to use the first of the three weeks in the last gw of the previous month so you can only get 2 gws max free in any month

When there's prize money people will always look at ways to minipulate the game, the fact that's there's a monthly game then this is inevitable however it is an excellant game & format.
For some reason I managed to ignore all I learned from previous season & beta trial and made a complete pigs ear of my August transfers.
Monthly games it is for me from now on in.

Truth is I won mine by being in contention overall and not just playing for the monthly grand. But it dawned on me that so many had given up completely just because of a poor OR when there was so much to play for. I wasn't likely to win another monthly prize so decided to share

i think i mentioned it when i won last season but not many picked up on it. Was playing for OR all season then made about 16 loans for the last month when clear OR was going nowhere (was about 1000th)

Depends on the rest of your team. If you have strong defenders/fifth mid then you can risk Silva. Otherwise I'd go with KDB given the Christmas rotation threat.

Not more nailed but less likely to be wrapped in cotton wool. Like Silva more than KDB as a pick (I think) but not when he's just back from injury and facing a hectic schedule.

I've done the same to give

      Ozil Mahrez KDB Hazard (Lingard)
      Kun Lukaku Ighalo

The way I see it it's replacing one potentially explosive player with another, it's a gamble but the rest of the attack should keep ticking over.

Alexis Sanchez comes from a very poor background and has lived life the hard way. Much like Tevez and Suarez,he is not at all injury-prone,and has the ability to shake off strains. And he even thinks it's a kick. If he wasn't a player in urgent need of rest, you wouldn't be making your move Sunday night. So I would recommend you to wait and hear more from Wenger because if he is out for 1-2 weeks, you would be wasting a transfer.

So if he is says it is just a kick then he prob actually needs surgery.
Every clue online points to a serious enough injury..

At best.. he will need a proper rest so will miss a game or two anyway.
      Hazard it is then.

my thoughts are the same. Also, the Sanchez > Hazard move isn't the best move. Hazard is still out of form and he's had easy fixtures recently in which he has blanked.

Benching one of your front 8! All could score every game.

    Vardy, Kane, Lukaku

Would love to, however, there was a moment towards the end of the game today where he could have been through on goal and he couldn't control it, which shows he's just not on form, Hazard of last season would have turned that into a goal.

          It's too risky.
